Canales 5 Brasserie Moderne

We had an unforgettable lunch at Canales 5 in Cartagena. The food was simply outstanding – every dish was full of flavor and made with top-quality ingredients. Everything was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place where you want to take your time, enjoy every bite, and truly appreciate the quality of the food. Highly recommended if you are in Cartagena – a real gem for food lovers!

Modern tasteful design. Food is great, I especially loved starters and little bites. Chef has a nice way to incorporate sauces to enhance flavour. Staff is very warm, welcoming and very aware of dishes. (During reservation they even inquired about allergies) Great place to challenge tastebuds, have conversations and create memories.

We had dinner at this restaurant just last evening.We had been there in the afternoon to book and they kindly booked us for 8pm. When we arrived, we were the only customers, but we were assigned a table near the door, which was rather uncomfortable, when there probably would have been a more comfortable spot, especially since we were practically alone until we left. The atmosphere seemed a bit cold: there was no background music, and the silence was almost awkward, so much so that the noises coming from the kitchen could clearly be heard. As for the dishes, unfortunately, we weren't thrilled. We didn't find anything in the flavors or presentation that justified the prices, which in our opinion were rather high for the quality offered. It's disappointing because we had high expectations and throughout our trip to Spain, we always ate well. We hope this can be a constructive starting point for improving some aspects of the overall experience.

We went during the day. Felt a little not welcomed as there was nobody and looked like the waitress and chief were outside taking a brake. After we stood there for a moment we got a table. Waitress was overall nice. The food was tasty.

200 day old meat was good , sides were dry patatos , location is uncomfortable and over designed with bad lighting.. reminds kinda at a dentist studio To expensive in my opinion for what it was.

The food is top top. The “little bites” are a must, some of the best appetizers I’ve had during a month in spain. The tartar with bone marrow is spectacular. The service is great. Considering the food quality the price is great ( we paid 66 for 2 persons with 3 appetizers and a main course and during last month we paid between 80 and 150 for similar meals on the southern and eastern coast)

Absolutely wonderful food - all the dishes we had were beautiful and packed with flavour! The couple who run the place are so lovely too - would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! ☺️

Fabulous REAL food that nourishes body, and soul ! Amazing flavours, well blended. Tartar de buey i lomo de alto excelente, postres tambien hecho en casa ! Vino excelente! Service brilliant. This place should be full every night!
