Canavall, a Design Boutique Hotel Palma, Spain

"Canavall is set in Palma de Mallorca, 950 metres from Palma Port. Palma Yacht Club is 1.1 km from the property. The accommodation offers rooms and apartments with traditional Mallorcan elements. The rooms are all different and unique and are decorated with typical elements of the island such as tiles of Huguet, textiles of Bujosa, clay floors and original carpentry. Most of the art exhibited is also by local artists. The apartments include a kitchen with a fridge and oven. Every unit comes with a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Bed linen is provided. Canavall also includes a terrace and the lobby and the breakfast area are located in an old bakery, a large space with antique wooden ceilings and medieval arches. Cala Major Beach is 4.3 km from Canavall, while Plaza Mayor is 200 metres away. The nearest airport is Palma de Mallorca Airport, 7 km from Canavall." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

We could not have been happier with our stay at Canavall. We had some uncertainty whether we could even make it due to sickness, and the whole situation was handed professionally and personally at the same time. And luckily, we ended up being able to complete our stay. Thank you to all the staff for your flexibility, we loved our stay! Can't wait to be back and we have already recommended it to multiple friends :)

Exceptional place to stay in Palma! The location can't be beaten. We had apartment no 9 and it was perfect - spacious, clean and very comfortable. There is some noise from outside the sitting room area (it is an old building in a city centre after all) but the bedroom is silent for sleeping. Laundry facilities and luggage storage available for guests also. We will definitely return!

Beautiful in the middle of everything (we stayed in room 3, a triplex apartment with private entrance to roof terrace) Close to shopping and culture and food places. One bedroom had very low roof, spacious apartment and great beds, lovely kitchen with all you need. There are no windows with a view. Only windows by the stairs in the apartment and a facade, so a bit dark. Not suitable for the one who have a hard time for many stairs. (One room per floor). We had problems with the bathroom that was very bad smelling for all week. We told the reception but it didn’t help. In evenings and mornings you can here the washing machines from the hotel very clear. It is very clean and a quiet place. Recommend.

Wonderful, boutique hotel in the heart of the old town. We stayed in room 7 which was super spacious with a huge bathroom. Really high quality bed linen and lovely continental breakfast served in the main hotel. We hired bikes from the hotel and rode along the sea front on a bike track which was flat with great views of the sea. |One highlight was a super seafood lunch at Can Eduardo near the port, amazing seafood and a fantastic price. The hotel were great with communication on the run up to my holiday, answering all my questions straight away. |Thank you to Daniela, Paula and Isabel.

We stayed in Room 8 on the second floor. The suite was chic and the area, despite its central location, is very quiet. We had a kettle and a coffee machine which was handy. The bed was super comfortable and we also had a small outside terrace. We arrived outside check-in hours but the instructions to access the room were detailed and very clear. Breakfast was lovely - it was busy on both mornings as 9.00 is when everyone turns up - just be a little patient and you’ll be well-rewarded. We will be back!

We couldn’t be happier for our stay here in this hotel. It only has 8 rooms, but each room is different from the others. The room is so carefully decorated with a lot of details and good taste. Room is very spacious and clean, beddings and supplies are all carefully chosen. There is also a rooftop terrace for everyone to use. Stairs to the room are indeed steep if your room is not on the ground floor, so need to be expect some extra work to carry the luggage up. One downside is the WiFi in our room is not very stable and can be a bit poor sometimes. We also love the breakfast area, very cozy to stay. Breakfast options are not much, but high quality, we especially love the ham and cheese. Location is fantastic, although it’s in a narrow backstreet, but just a few steps away from two main roads. Located in the very centre of Palma, literally walk distance to almost everywhere we visited in Palma old town and to the bus station that led us to other towns. Staff are super friendly, it does not have a lot of staff but easy to contact with them. We arrived the hotel at midnight, so the staff sent us detailed guidance in advance on self check in and also 24hr contact line. Overall a lovely and warm boutique hotel that we would love to come back again and recommend to our friends.

I stayed in room number 8 at the top of the hotel. The room was wonderful, with old-world touches along with modern amenities, and a small outdoor terrace. The room was big and was like a small apartment minus the kitchen. The bed was similar to a Tempurpedic bed and was extremely comfortable. It was amazing their attention to detail. The amenities were wonderful and so was the small buffet breakfast in the morning. As a 3* hotel don't expect a pool, parking, bellman, etc. This is an intimate boutique hotel in a wonderful location. I recommend arriving during the day when the office is open. I arrived at night and followed their directions but it can be a little scary since it was hard to see. Also if you have any mobility issues get a room on the ground floor DO NOT attempt the steep steps.

We were in Room 4 - a fantastic room, so spacious. However a couple of comfy chairs would have made it even better, for a seven night stay. We did of course have access to the terrace, wonderful for relaxing & enjoyed in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, & loved the care & concern shown by the team, so appreciated. Thank you, we loved our stay with you.
