The booking staff member (Melisa, I believe) was not helpful. This is my first time visiting Canberra and I’ve never been to the Canberra Theatre before, so I asked for advice on choosing the best seats for my family. Instead of providing guidance, she repeatedly told me that it was “completely my preference” and "it's up to you." While I understand that, I was asking for her advice because she knows the theatre better than I do.
She wasn’t able to give a straightforward answer and kept deflecting the question back to me. When I said I would think about it and thanked her for her time, she hung up before I did. Clearly just up for short & money-making transactions.
Overall, it was a very disappointing level of customer service, especially considering the significant investment the government has made in this facility for the people of Canberra.
