The bartenders were both extremely rude. One rolled her eyes at me when I asked if they spoke English, didn’t respond to me after, and immediately after I walked away began speaking in fluent English to another friend and laughing and looking over at my table. The vibe inside was cold and unfriendly, probably the most so of anywhere I’ve been in Porto thus far.

The bartender (who I believe is the owner) was incredibly unfriendly. My mother and I were staying nearby and hoped this would be our local spot, but it was clear from the moment we walked in that tourists were not welcome. Instead of being helpful, he took it upon himself to lecture my mother in a very condescending way. Whether his issue is with tourists or women, his behavior was unprofessional and rude. We found a much better bar nearby with a lovely, friendly female bartender. I would definitely recommend skipping this place and going to Bar Aduela.

We came for a night cap - the port was delicious and the atmosphere was lively and chic. Whoever designed the playlist should receive a raise. It was eclectic, modern, reminiscent of Brooklyn days in the early 2000s.

Best bar in Porto where the staff is mostly kind and very thoughtful!! Specially the girls! Great atmosphere among them and they keep the place cheerful and everyone laughing and having a good time! Also they have better taste in music then the cardigan wearing snobs that work there!

I was listening to the Placebo Placebo album a couple of months after visiting this bar and suddenly fellt the need to write a review of this place...namely because this bar (like the Placebo album) is so atmospheric. Beautiful, individual bar staff, great music that sits in the background but grabs your attention. And watch the old black and white films while ordering a drink. If you're really lucky you'll catch the barman occasionally singing along to the tracks! A great place. Enjoy!

Very sympatic service, and perfect cold draft and great gin tonic

HORRIBLE SERVER ALERT: This is my third review in about three years (I’ve lived Porto for over 5 years) and even though this is bar has a great atmosphere and the outdoor tables are great for sunny days, the service of ONE PARTICULAR bar server (balding guy with a beard, probably in his late 30s to early 40s) has always been EXTREMELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING! If you even ask him a recommendation for a wine he acts like “why are you asking”. And when tried a few words of broken Portuguese (I know a lot, but I thought I would see how he reacted), he gave me a look like he was completely disgusted that I even tried. He even told me I did it all wrong. Again, this is my third review for the same bad server in this bar. All the other servers are great and friendly. But I am appalled to keep finding this total jerk still working there.

Hipster and full of all different walks of life bar! You will see someone full of tattoos to a man in a preppy button down! We all gather together for a nice drink and some lovely music! The drinks at the bar were very reasonable. I order a Super dock beer and a mixed drink and it came to 6 euro! Come to America and that would have been just about $20, so no complaints from me! The bartenders were very nice and cool vibe. They were attentive and willing to speak. The vibe of the bar is very rockish. It's pretty dark inside and the two bathrooms they have are black with signature and stickers all over, but it was clean when I went in. Definitely a bar I would recommend if in the area!

Staff was super unfriendly if you aren't local. The pours were incredibly weak and the prices were higher than places you the street. Don't be fooled by the large crowds.

Situated on a busy pedestrian corner, this café offered everything I required for a perfect writer's afternoon in Porto. Perfect coffee, tea, full bar, and a simple snack menu provided sustenance while I cuddled for two productive and inspiring hours into the old-world vibe and hob-nobbed with the super-cool staff. I watched a constant rotation of lively packs of young people populating the outdoor tables for beers and laughs. Highly recommended.

Grab a book (they have plenty), enjoy a good coffee and have a tasty snack. And all that in a very relaxed environment. Yes, I would recommend it.

Nice bar, good prices, friendly stuff. Any time full, bit enought place for everyone.

Unless you speak Portuguese you should skip this bar. My husband and I were treated like absolute garbage here because we didn't understand the language and tried our best - in fact, the server yelled at us! It was shockingly rude. Either that guy had a bad day or needed to get laid horribly bad, or both. Or maybe he shouldn't be in the service industry at all - what a concept!

Great place to have a coffee and snack during the day or a long drink at night. Employees were very friendly when I went in; the woman working the first time was willing to have a conversation with me in Portuguese, which was great for someone genuinely trying to learn. Wifi, beautiful terrace, and plenty of other places close. Whether you're looking for coffee after lunch or another stop on your night out, this is it.
