Room was larger than other similar price point hotels. Room was clean and staff were nice. The complimentary sky spa onsen + sauna is well maintained. They allow people with tattoos to use the bathing facilities after 11pm.

This hotel offers excellent convenience with its prime location near shopping and restaurant areas. The building features a modern exterior design, and the room provided ample space for two guests. The staff are English-speaking, making it comfortable and accessible for international travelers. The room was equipped with a smart TV offering Netflix and YouTube access, and the air conditioning worked effectively during the hot summer weather. The cleanliness standards were satisfactory and met expectations. However, there was a noticeable damp odor in the room, and despite running the 24-hour ventilation fan, the bathroom towels remained difficult to dry completely. Walking around in socks, I could feel that the carpet seemed somewhat damp, which may have been contributing to the musty smell. Overall, the stay was comfortable and the hotel's amenities and location made it a pleasant experience. With some improvements to humidity control and ventilation, this property would be even more exceptional.

Avoid. Coachloads of tourists use it. Resulting in 30 min wait for (pre-paid) breakfast even though we arrived at the 0700 opening time. Exacerbated by only 2 lifts that cannot service such numbers. 40 minute wait to get from our floor to breakfast one morning. Next day 40 min wait to get back to our room after another coach load had arrived. Reception and breakfast is on the top floor - go figure. We met at least 2 people who were not going to make their departure plans because they could not get out of the hotel on time. In the event we could only make our Shinkansen departure time by missing breakfast. Stairs can only be used in an emergency - we asked if we could use them and were told no. A shame because every other hotel we stayed at in Japan ran on rails. Avoid Candeo Hotel chain.

This is my 3rd Candeo hotel out of 4 that I stayed at during my trip and by far the oldest. Hotel felt really dated and rooms were small. Sky Spa and sauna was also way too hot and as a result barely any guest used it. After the 2 previous Sky Spas I stayed at (Wakayama, Osaka) had amazing views of the city, this one was fairly muted in comparison. 3 stars for the dated property and small rooms.

I was quite disappointed with my stay. The room was very dirty — the carpet, walls, and even the ceiling showed visible stains and wear. The wallpaper was torn in several places and peeling off in others, giving the room a neglected appearance. The “king-size” bed was actually two single mattresses pushed together, creating an uncomfortable gap in the middle that made it hard to sleep properly. The air conditioning unit was very old and extremely noisy, making it impossible to keep it on during the night. Overall, the experience was far below expectations. This hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star property and I would not recommend it.

A short tram ride from Hiroshima station, this is a very nice hotel centrally situated in the town with access to all the places you'd wish to go. The hotel is fabulous and has all you could require. Staff are excellent and extremely efficent. Trams are directly opposite the hotel & lead to Miyajima & the Atomic peace park is with short walking distance, as are the Shukkeien Gardens (well worth a visit).

Got a corner room does get a little street noise but it's not noticeable. Room is a decent size and bed comfy and large. Breakfast was $15aud, cheap and okay.

I was very impressed with the front desk staff. I had a question about parking, I've never seen the type of garage nextdoor where it's like a vending machine and you can't access the car once it's parked. They didn't know so they came with me to the garage to translate between me and the attendant. Extremely unexpected and helpful. Unfortunately the room had a toilet seat that needed better cleaning.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. It was a bit difficult to find the lobby - you had to take an elevator behind what almost seemed like a hidden door at the bottom floor outside. Staff was SUPER nice. Rooms were nice. Nice bathrooms and lots of charging. I do think I got a bit of food poisoning from the buffet, however. Darn that room temperature deli meat. Aside from that, it was great.
