Overall. I would not recommend this hotel for 2 reasons: their central air conditioning either broken or never existed; rooms have no ventilation; and have a very bad smell. Second - they charge for every hour if you arrive earlier. For me the only benefit was having a good public bath with cold plunge pool; and they allowed us to use it when we arrived by 8am. There must be better options and with a better price too. Staff is welcoming, but not all of them (foreigners are not as welcoming as local staff).

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The photos online look very nice, but in reality it is very misleading. The location is bad and far from all the main areas in Tokyo, which makes it very inconvenient for traveling around the city. Even though it is listed as a 3-star hotel, it really does not feel like it at all. The rooms are extremely small, cramped and dirty for the price you pay. When I arrived, there was even a used bandage on the floor, which shows how poorly they clean. The staff were also not very helpful or friendly, and it felt like they did not really care about the guests. For the high price, this hotel is absolutely not worth it. The pictures on Booking made it look much better than it actually is, and I felt very disappointed when I saw the real condition. Overall this was a terrible experience and I would strongly recommend to avoid this hotel.

Good location. Book an executive deluxe king room and you'll have loads of space. The spa is great. For anyone who's not used a Japanese style spa before - it's separated into male and female spas, you change to get completely naked in the locker room and put your things in the free lockers and get a key on a wrist band. Shower using the cubicle surrounding the hot bath before getting in. If you're anxious about being naked you can wear a towel round your waist and leave it on one of the plastic chairs by the side just before stepping into the water to minimise the time that you're 'on show'. A relaxing experience not to be missed with the skyline view!

Spacious, clean, and they even put your bag in your room if you happen to come early and drop it off. Onsen facilities are also nice. two hot baths, a dry sauna, and a cold plunge. my only qualms is that the elevators can be slower during peak usage times. As per typical Japanese honesty, they held onto my Airpods case when I had accidentally left it behind. The location is close to a train station and close to many poker rooms. I will be returning.

I recently checked in to your hotel and was very disappointed to find visible dust in my room upon arrival (see attached photo). When I raised this at reception, I was told that no cleaner was available until the next day. I ended up cleaning the room myself, which is not acceptable — especially given the reputation of Japanese hotels for cleanliness and hospitality.||I wanted to bring this to your attention directly, as I believe this experience does not reflect the standard expected at your establishment. I would appreciate if you could look into the matter and advise on any follow-up.||Angelo Kazantzas - I am in room 1203.

Friendly and attentive staff. Everyone was helpful. Beautiful skyspa with a great view. Room was on the smaller side but served its purpose and was clean and pretty comfortable. Breakfast was also tasty! Excellent location- well connected and near a couple of metro lines. Roppongi is a great area

This is probably as good as it gets for a business traveller friendly property right in the heart of roppongi close to all the shops and restaurants, clean and spacious (shocking to see even a couch for Tokyo rooms at this price point), very affordable, extensive breakfast spread, friendly and English-speaking hotel reception... and both outdoor and indoor onsen options at the top of the building. Pleasantly surprised by this property for how affordable it is

Let me start by saying I stay in a lot of hotels as I travel with my job and my family. I rarely leave review but feel compelled to share my experience for others that might choose this hotel because it’s is not suitable for families at all! ||Our experience started well, being accommodated an earlier check at 12:30 when we had a 3pm checkin time was really great as we stepped off a long flight at 7am. ||On arrival to our room, we were incredibly disappointed. For context, I’m a mum travelling with two teenage boys in what was described as a triple room however the 3rd bed is not a proper bed, it’s a pull out, not ok for a 13 year old to sleep on for 6 nights. There is no storage in the entire room, there is no wardrobe (literally 6 knobs and hangers, that is it!) and no space to move so we needed the sofa area where the pull out was located to put our cases. So we ended up having to share two single beds between the 3 of us. ||The Bathroom is smaller than a cruise ship and it has half bath with the shower inside so it’s a very high step in. If you are not able bodied, stepping up and in to the tub would be hard! Again no storage just a tiny shelf just about big enough for a small toiletries bag. ||Room aside, the breakfast was important for us as my kids can eat, unfortunately the breakfast jere is appalling. It is probably the worst I’ve experienced in a city hotel that is 3/4 star. There was nothing appetising that we could eat and a request for eggs cooked for my children was turned down. They offer scrambled eggs but they are cooked with something I can’t put my finger on (probably milk and I’m intolerant) and not warm enough to eat. The sausages are hot dog type out of a can and the fruit cocktail is also from a can. They had small chunks of grapefruit and orange segments but all cut with the skin on which seems a little odd. They offer granola but it’s a mix of puffed rice and other stuff but no granola in it. The only thing I could eat was the croissants and sourdough toast. For 6 days this is not acceptable. I’m sure the local food was great but if you’re a westerner not wanting to eat miso soup, vegetables and noodles for breakfast then this is not a good place to start your day. ||In addition to this, I’ve never in my life been refused a take out of breakfast as we didn’t have time to eat on one day as we had a 7am collection for a trip. I asked if we could take some croissants for the kids to eat in the car and was refused! ||The pool and sauna area is not mixed, males snd females must go separately and you are not allowed to wear clothes!! Yes you read that correctly, you must be naked. I’m sorry but sending my 2 teenage sons into a pool area with other men naked is not acceptable. I appreciate this might be cultural but be respectful of those that do not wish to bath with no clothes and allow them their privacy. ||We were told if we don’t put the “make up our room” sticker on the door then we would get an eco change of just towels etc which was fine for us. On the two days I left the sticker out for a full clean, nothing was done. No bed change, no clean cups, no bathrooms clean, nothing. ||I would not recommend this hotel and still have two more nights of staying here and frankly I can’t wait to leave and move to our next hotel.

Yelp
Overall this place was just ok. Japan has a high bar for hotels, most of them are going to be good, if not great. This hotel just has a lot of small annoyances that add up and made it my least favorite hotel out of the four I stayed at on this trip. First the good: Good location within walking distance of the two big malls in Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills. Two metro lines stop nearby. The hotel itself is nice but feels slightly dated. There's a view of Tokyo Tower from most of the rooms but especially higher floors. Overall I liked Roppongi. It seems like a place where real Tokyoites live and work as opposed to the more popular places mobbed by tourists. The bad: The bathrooms. Incredibly small, with absolutely no space between the toilet, bathtub, and sink. I know Tokyo rooms are small but this bathroom is especially bad. Also, the floor in the bathroom is sunken, as in lower than the rest of the room so you have to step down every time you enter. This caught me by surprise more than once. Also the floor felt a bit unstable...kind of like it was made of a plastic layer you stand on above the real floor. At least it was clean. There's a lot of weird unsafe parts of the room, which is especially a worry with kids. The step down into the bathroom I mentioned. There's a sharp edge next to the bed on the couch/nightstand that I scratched myself on. There's a glass table with pointy edges that just feels out of place in the tiny room. The plugs and light switches are right in the middle of the bed headrest which makes them easy for kids to play with and makes it so your charging cables are running across the bed. The elevator is annoying. It ALWAYS stops on the 3rd floor (reception) no matter what. The ground level exit is on the 2nd floor, so you always stop unnecessarily on 3 when either entering or exiting the hotel. The 1st floor is inexplicably the parking area behind the hotel, don't get caught assuming the first floor is the ground level exit. There's a real lack of breakfast in the area. The hotel breakfast opens later (7:30?), we never went because it was too late. One day we just gave up and ate breakfast at FamilyMart. Roppongi is not well connected to the rest of Tokyo on the Metro. Most places you want to go are going to require a transfer. Neither of the lines that stop near the hotel go directly to Tokyo station. Both Haneda and Narita require extra transfers. Even Shibuya which is not far away at all requires two trains or a bus. Especially annoying if you have luggage or kids in tow.

Yelp
Candeo Roppongi has been the hotel of choice for my family for a few years now. It's conveniently located in the heart of roppongi, very close to the roppongi station, a few minutes walk from Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills, access to anything you want through Tokyo Metro. The hotel itself classifies I think as a business hotel, so it's tiny, it is reasonably priced, it has tiny rooms and not a lot of services, but it's clean, modern, staff is very kind and it has a wonderful top floor SPA (onsen) with an indoor pool, an outdoor one (rotenburo), and a dry sauna, with stunning views of Tokyo. I love Candeo and I find any excuse to spend at least a few nights here every time I travel to Tokyo.

Yelp
Great 3 night stay with my husband last week! Love Cadeo - first tried their Namba location in 2019 with my family before my wedding. We tried this location bc of our great experience a few years ago and could not have been happier. Super cute, clean, smells good hehe, and the rooftop open air bath is such a nice treat after a day of shopping and walking! Superb location near Roppongi station and many restaurants and art galleries. Rooms are a bit small but who cares - I'm not there to relax, I'm there to have a good sleep in an aesthetically pleasing room after a long day of sightseeing! Price is solid and staff is friendly. We chose a 4th floor room with balcony and was surprised how spacious the balcony was (however looking into graveyard with no furniture hahaha more for fresh air).

Yelp
Stayed here in September 2018 for 9 nights. Love this hotel!!!! It's only one year old. Very beautiful, and service is world class. If I needed something, someone was at my door with it in no less than 2 minutes! Location is great. If you want to be in the midst of nightlife, this is the place. Room was perfect, comfy bed, sheets and pillows. Restaurant, spa and WiFi for hotel guests. Close to Main and happening streets. Close to Hibiya Metro line. This neighborhood is one that never sleeps but you wouldn't know it from your room unless you looked out your window. Located in an international travelers neighborhood. So you'll meet a lot of travelers from all over the world and locals because locals go to the clubs here. Roppongi is packed on Wednesday's ladies night so you'll see and experience quite a bit just people watching. Hotel is located near two, 2 minute away each 7-11's and just across the street from a Family Mart. These are everywhere in Tokyo. Make sure you stop at Don Quijote store in Roppongi for some Duty Free souvenir shopping which is a must. I will definitely return to this hotel for a couple nights when I return to Tokyo next. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I found this little beauty on Expedia.ca The Candeo Hotel Roppongi is traveler friendly Hotel with visitors from all over the world... The location is second to none. Just off the craziness of Roppongi, yet 100m from Roppongi Metro station and main drag. Minutes to Roppongi Hills, and Tokyo Modtown. For this alone this property is worth the price. It is a brand new property, opened in summer 2017. The rooms have a great layout, albeit with a small footprint. The roof top houses a Japanese style bath called the Sky Spa.... complete with indoor and outdoor hot pools, a freezing cold pool and a sauna. The rules of a Japanese onsen apply: Men and women bathe separately, no clothing is worn, no tattoos as per Japanese custom. (Although no one was enforcing the rules so the atmosphere was unlike any hot spring I have been to in Japan: Loud kids, tattoos, people using mobile phones in the pool... I decided to go in the spa before everyone else got up so i could save on the kabuki) The staff are young and it seems like they are just out of hospitality school. This means they are eager to please and are very friendly. With an Expedia + member discount I paid $150CAD a night. We chose not to have the breakfast buffet. ¥2000 extra. All in all, great location, new property and free water and internet: I like Candeo Roppongi; you might too. t

Yelp
Great place in the heart of Roppongi, convenient to everything. The rooms are modern and relatively spacious for a hotel in Tokyo for the cost. I picked this hotel due to the proximity to the Metro and to points of interest in Roppongi, mainly the Mori Tower and Midtown. It was also pretty close to the Grand Hyatt, which was out of my budget but had the pick-up for the Airport Limo Bus. The staff was very nice, though probably more fluent in Chinese than English, which is surprising and not at the same time. When we arrived, they let us know that our luggage, which had been shipped via Ta-Q-Bin was already in the room, so it was nice to show up with our keycard and have everything there already. To manage expectations for people considering the Candeo, I should stress that the room size is good for Tokyo, but may be really small for American expectations. The room itself is probably no more than 120 sq ft. There is no closet of chest of drawers, you have hooks behind the door to hang you jacket and stuff like that. There's a mini fridge with a rack of shelves above it, where you'll have your selection of tea, instant coffee, and water boiler, and a tiny side table for you to write in your journal or put your beer. There's a chaise bench along the window where you can leave your clothes or lay out on... depending on how neatly you unpack, and there's a wall mounted tv that's about two ft from the edge of your bed. For under $150 a night, that's pretty much as good as you're going to get in the Roppongi area.

Yelp
For this type hotel, it really deserves five stars but there's always room for growth. This boutique hotel really served the purpose for the trip my husband and I took to Japan. I know that it's in the heart of hip and happening Roppongi but it's a quiet oasis. The rooms are "compact" but very clean and well maintained. The services they offer are carried out very efficiently (oh wait, this is Japan, how else would it be). The staff is extra friendly and attractive and eager to be of service. The place is spotless top to bottom. The breakfast is a great value, in my opinion. Nice to have a quiet convenient place to start the day. For ending the day, the rooftop "spa" with its indoor and outdoor hot soak baths (plus cold plunge and sauna) is a great place to relax after a day in Tokyo and it's a place where you can do your end of day clean up in case the bathroom in your room gives you claustrophobia.

Yelp
This hotel sucks. The rooms and bathrooms are small and the service is mediocre. I don't sense that they would go out of their way to have your stay more enjoyable. It's also expensive for what they offer. I'd rather stay at the four seasons and get more for your buck. I would not come back and stay here. You can find much better for this price point.

Yelp
Nice hotel and centrally located to anything we would want or need. Clean, friendly staff. Rooms are small! Manhattan small. Got a room with a balcony, thank goodness! The room had a bed, 2 steps to a couch, a small counter with shelves and you had to step over the couch 1 ft off the fl to get to it. From our balcony it looked like there's a cemetery behind the hotel. It didn't feel creepy though. The hotel has a restaurant but it only serves breakfast. Breakfast was okay but it was a little odd to my US palate. They have scrambled eggs but they were runny but not in an undercooked way more like they added something to it. They had nice croissant rolls, a loaf of bread, and... tortillas!? They also had cereal, bread pudding, brownies, canned fruit, soups, smoked salmon, a variety of sauces, and some Japanese meats. On the 16th floor there is a hot tub, steam room, and showers. They only have small towels so bring a large one from your room. Uper clean! Also on the floor was a couple of laundry units that both wash and dry your clothes. The detergent is already built into the machine but it does not seem to wash the clothes well. I had to put the clothes through an extra dry cycle and wash the clothes twice. Took 4.5 hours to do 1 large load! Nice place, would recommend it, would stay again.
