Of all the architecture which has survived at Trowulan, I think that Candi Bajang Ratu is the most beautiful example. This singularly elegant structure is a marvel, with its elongated proportions and well-preserved Kala heads over the door. The surrounding parkland is also well-maintained. Entrance costs 4000 rupiah.

Bajang Ratu Temple, located in Trowulan, East Java, Indonesia, is a majestic 14th-century gate that served as part of the Majapahit Kingdom’s architectural complex. This red-brick structure is an impressive example of Majapahit architecture, known for its intricate carvings and elegant proportions. Standing approximately 16.5 meters tall, Bajang Ratu is believed to have been a ceremonial gateway. Historical inscriptions and local traditions suggest it was possibly erected in honor of King Jayanegara, the second ruler of Majapahit, following his death. The temple features reliefs depicting Hindu epics, such as the Ramayana, showcasing the kingdom's deep spiritual and artistic traditions. Today, Bajang Ratu stands as one of the few well-preserved remnants of the once-grand Majapahit Empire, attracting visitors who wish to explore Indonesia's rich cultural and historical heritage. Recommended place🤙

This is my first time I visited Mojokerto and this historic place. Well, this temple is clean and we'll treated. The entrance ticket is very cheap, it just 3000Rp and for the parking is 5000Rp. In here also provides praying room and also restroom, so you don't need to sorry about it. Overall, that's cool..

I love the aura of this temple!. Red bricks and some relief on the brick is fabulous! Even not as clear and noticeable as in Borobudur.

I'm in love with this "Gapura"/gate. The park is big and with good design. Maybe one of visitor favorites places in Trowulan. There are no Peking lot for car if I'm not mistaken, but since the road is quite, you can park your car at the side of the road.
