Kinda wack I got a section w my guys and one of my friends got roofied lol weird? And I paid one of the bouncers $20 cuz I thought he was a cool chill person, they didn’t let my friend bring his vape in but they sell them in the bathroom and the security threw out my friends vape after them telling him they would hold onto it for him. Then when my Friend tried to go look around for his stuff the security tried to get physical with them and the other tried to pull me by my hood when I tried to stop the other security from getting physical with my friend. Overall pretty Trashy environment but the Service was Ok. Prices weren’t that Bad but overall sucks go to Bijou or Caveau for a decent time out.

The lady at the bar said price for drink is $15 and took my phone at the back where she kept the machine for my Apple Pay and came back with $17.80. I asked for explanation and she was just beating around bush and said just enjoy your drink! What a fun way to start the evening!!!

The worst nightclub in the world, they rip you off on the entrance fee, they rip you off on the drinks, they rip you off on the change from the drinks, and they always announce singers or DJs who don't even know the party is going to happen. This management is ridiculous, false advertising, and the "security guards" are extremely unprepared and aggressive.

Always the best music! Sunday nights are a gay party but there’s a mix throughout the week for others, Brazilian & Latin music too. Anthony (security) made our experience so great Sunday and took great care of us. We will definitely be back.

DO NOT GO HERE! Me and my friend mistakingly didn’t read reviews before going here. The bouncer was really weird and unprofessional to us he asked my friend if she had a boyfriend and then after that some random other bouncer came up to us and gave us two “free waters” that were fizzy. He said it was “sparkling water”, luckily we did not drink them because after reading the reviews I’m almost positive they were spiked. Very unsafe club, I can’t believe they’re still opened.

Val the VIP manager was the best at securing us the best table for the best DJ in town. We had the best view of the event.The music was amazing, we had a great time. Every one was dancing, drinks were reasonably priced for a great pour. We had our company party at a vip booth and it was so much fun, we highly recommend this if you’re looking for a great place to dance and have a birthday party. The waitress service was the best hospitality I’ve seen in boston. Bianka and Stella were our waitress and the service was 5 star, they were very attentive, made our drinks and brought refills very fast. It was definitely worth it ordering the table. And bottles are very reasonably priced for top shelf. If you’re looking for a great club to dance and have fun, this is the place!

Granted the space was rented out but it’s quite underwhelming. Bouncers were lovely, bartender not so much -seems like he could use a break. Great idea in theory, in practice, no.

The bouncers suck, they are rude, and they harass you. This bar sucks so bad not even worth going. Bouncers made the experience terrible.

My friend and I went on Friday night. Starting out the night with getting our IDs taken and the bouncer telling us we'd get them back at the end of the night. We thought it was a little weird but he let us in for free and a little drunk so we went with it. At the end of the night we tried to tell security that a bouncer took our IDs but they wouldn't listen and pushed us out. We have tried multiple ways of contact to get them back. I don't want someone guy knowing where we live and/or needing to pay for a new ID. During the night my friend and I went to the bathroom and a bouncer lady tried to remove my friend and needed 3 other bouncers to tell her she wasn't the right girl. The lady would not let her wait to let me know what was happening since I was in the stall or even just have someone let me know. If they fully removed her I would be alone in a club terrified that something bad happened to my friend and not know what happened to her. The lack of concern of safety makes me not want to ever come back. Future lessons for you ladies: don't let anyone hold onto your IDs. It's weird and a red flag if they kick you out over it, hop to the next place.

Online ticket $15 for entry. Late online ticket $18. If you want to pay at the location while entering, its $30. And, this is the entry fee and not a cover charge! They have Bollywood Nights of Fridays, recently opened up after COVID. The place is divided into two sections. And has two dance floors and Djs, one of which is usually who plays Bollywood. The staff is ridiculous and extremely rude, the lady bouncer inside literally pushed me, oh and I was just trying to go inside with a valid ticket (yes, manhandled). But I was needy and had already paid so decided to still go inside. The Dj for the night was DJ Sudeep who did not take requests (Indians, he did not play 'Sapne me milti hai' after repeated requests, seriously? Lol). Not saying he was bad. We enjoyed dancing. The drinks were very very expensive, please pre-drink and then go. And also a small bottle of water costed $5. I wish the staff was friendly and not so so rude and they had cover or if the drinks were not as expensive, I would have given this place a 4 stars.

It took us almost an hour and a half to get in. We booked candibar for a private event. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable and I am totally disappointed. I will never recommend as well as never return. Do not go here.

While on a quick overnight trip to Boston, I wanted to go out and dance. Granted I was by myself, but honestly who cares. Candi happened to be right next to my hotel, making it extremely convenient to get too. The $10 cover wasn't horrible, and I guess I went on 90's night because the music was on point. The bartenders were extremely kind and beautiful, and my drinks were delicious -- and not overpriced. If you're in the area, or in town for a good time, definitely check this place out!

The fact that this place has a cover charge to get inside but only accepts cash for it is ridiculous. They clearly have the functionality to process credit card payments, as they take credit card at all of the bars inside the venue. The other clubs in the same building (Royale and Legacy) do take card for the cover, and those clubs seem to be operated by the same people, or at least a lot of the staff is the same on the gay nights at Candibar so there's obviously some affiliation, yet this one just can't get with the times for no apparent reason. If they refuse to address this, it would at least make sense for them to have an ATM that doesn't charge a $6 fee and isn't constantly broken even if you're willing to pay that fee, so this is a massive inconvenience that they simply don't address because they obviously don't care about their clientele experience. I can only imagine how much business they lose as a result because there are no convenient ATMs nearby, but I doubt they'll learn. At the end of the day, the experience isn't worth the exorbitant cover charge anyway even if they were to take card.

Decent sized club. Good music, spacious dance floor with futuristic lighting and layout. Not entirely recalled what kind of music they played. EDM and a mix of here and there.

I went here last night and it was awful! A friend of mine gave it a crappy review but we still went in for Bollywood night. Everything was fine until their music system tanked completely. They initially said it's the building and we waited for literally more than an hour for things to start working. The DJ left before we did! I would never go back here and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

One time visit . Pretty much college kids going there and you will feel left out if not going with a larger group .

Damn the guard who check my Id since I went to the club so fucking shit I'm not to say not thing he've just said I'm so drunk but I'm not drunk anymore. If I drunk , why you give me come in to your club .when I went out to smoke, He said I cannot came in anymore but I don't know what is going on he just said I so drunk and he said u can call your friend and pick you up their but down their isn't have signal so how can I do ? But any Goodrich my boyfriend came up their and saw me got a problem then he came down their and let my friends (7persons) went back home. This is The Good business? We are New Yorker and and I never got like this before. oh my god it's on Christmas Day.

Apparently Saturday nights are "Bollywood Night" in a small section of the club, so I thought I'd give it a try. First, it wasn't worth the $20 cover they had. Second, they should rename it "Bhangra Night" because that's all they played pretty much all night. The few Bollywood songs they did play they repeated multiple times. C'mon now!! If you're going to have a night dedicated to a type of music at least mix it up - play the classics, play the top hits (old & new), don't repeat songs and actually play more Bollywood music if that's what you're naming the night!!! And the drinks were way over priced for the amount you get. Overall, I will not be wasting my money again and will not be going back lol

Do not go to this place. They allowed me in wearing shorts, and allowed other men in with shorts, but would not allow my brother in-law inside because he were wearing shorts. He wasn't drunk and the bouncers made it clear they refused his entrance because he was wearing shorts...but then why did they let other men in with shorts? Something did not add up so I went up to the security guard to let them politely know that they just let a different man in with shorts, and I was escorted out - without any notice or communication to me as to why. The website does not say anything about shorts not being allowed (picture of the website's dress-code is attached), and it actually says the dress-code is informal. So why would they not allow him in? My guess is because it was pride weekend and he had glitter in his hair and clothes that represented pride...which then makes them prejudice. They had minimal people inside and was still restricting people on their own agenda, rather then the club's rules. Also, I wore jean shorts and a sports bra - picture is shown below (I literally wore this sports bra 2 day ago when I went for a jog), I'm dressed super informal, but my brother-in law who is a well dressed man in linen short can't get in? Sexist, prejudice awful club. Don't go there.

Never ever again !!! this is the gays bar that you think about the sunday night party that we usually go but so it fucking shit the grade very rude with the customer. My friend didn't drunk anymore but what is going on, he can't came in the pub but i certainly he not drunk anymore i think he have attitude with the asian guy so whatever we not comeback again Thank you so much for serve us like this

Pros: -two different rooms with different music styles -the place is nice Cons: $20 cover no matter how dead the club is Drinks were weak Went on a Friday night. Cover was $20. We tried to negotiate that but it didn't work. There were two rooms. One was playing Pop/Hip-Hop/EDM and the other room had Latin music. The Latin room was amazing. The DJ played some really good variety of reggaeton/salsa/bachata/merengue etc. The space is also very nice and spacious. This is a great spot to go with a group for dancing. For a Friday night, it was scarily empty so I think they have a lot of room for improvement with their promoting. This place has a lot of potential because the space is quite nice. It was definitely dead for Friday night so if you do comer here, make sure you come with a fun group! Beware the drinks may be watered down. I got whiskey & ginger ale ($12) and it was definitely weak.

I came here last Saturday with two friends, and overall we were disappointed and ended up leaving after an hour. My friend speaks French and there was a French party there that night so we decided to go check it out. Cover is $20--fortunately we didn't have to pay it but that's pretty steep. We went to wait in line at the coat check, after 10 minutes of waiting we got to the front and the girl said to me "Sorry it's full". It's still freezing out so we all had winter coats, and this place was pretty packed..definitely not a place you could hold your coat the whole night or find a place to stash it. There were at least 8 people behind us in line waiting as well. It seemed ridiculous that a big club would run out of coat check space during the winter. Eventually we convinced the woman to let my friends and I share one hanger because one opened up. The DJ was terrible! They kept stopping between songs and there would be an awkward moment of silence. The music was not very good, a mix of old 80s French and new techno. The lights were too much--I read online that they were supposed to go with the music but it just felt like there was constant intense strobe lighting in your face. It made it terrible to see and dance! We ended up leaving and going somewhere else nearby--I wouldn't go back

I moved to Boston recently and I went to Candi bar thinking that it's Bollywood night but choice of song was crap. The staff is ridiculous, senseless and extremely rude, the lady bouncer inside shouting and not letting me in after went out to take a call. I tried to tell her that at least tell my friend that I am waiting outside and we came in his car and his mobile didn't had network. She wasn't ready to listen and shouting all the time to go up. I am never gonna go to Candy Club !!! Good Bye !!!

The Candibar is the worst club I have ever been to. We went after spending the day at the Boston pride parade. Some of us got in including my friend in just shorts and a sports bra even though they say no active wear. But they wouldn't let our friend in with shorts and let 5 more guys in with shorts on. They discriminated against my friend who is gay. They made us leave and we had to fight to get our money back. All we wanted to do was go to a nice club but they ruined it by being ignorant. They let me in with a skirt that barely covers my butt. When my gay friend pointed out they let my friend with a sports bra and shorts on in the club and the bouncer said because she was a girl and asked my friend if he was a girl like why does it matter? Do not go there is you are gay friendly. They discriminate.

This was my first time at this club and I was very impressed. The dance floor is pretty spacious and it was the right amount of packed. The asterisks here is that I was there for a friend's birthday and she has a bajillion friends so I could see how on an average night it could be a bit empty. I was having a great night until I bought a round. They didn't itemize my receipt which I know is a trick to hide using top shelf prices for a drink and/or adding gratuity to a drink. I ordered red bull vodkas and it came out to $15 each...out of fear of having spit in my next drink I did tip her, but hot damn... I will probably come back, but I will definitely be pregaming a lot harder next time I come

This place was awesome. Sadly it was practically empty. I hope business picks up so it can stay in business. The music was awesome. It was mostly top 40 remixes, so fun beats to dance to but also songs you know and can sing along with. The DJ threw in Rick Astley "Never Gonna Give You Up" which had everyone laughing and dancing. Drinks were average prices for Boston clubs (I paid $12 for a whiskey ginger ale). The set up of the club was similar to other clubs--cool lights, lots of speakers, raised platform for the VIP tables. And unlike other clubs it wasn't stiflingly hot, though that's probably because there weren't so many people in there. The bathroom attendant was hilarious. She gave us mints, perfume, hair spray, and apologized for being out of condoms. Another reviewer said this is a gay bar. Didn't get that feeling myself but maybe there's a different crowd on different nights.

Not only did they charge me $930 for nothing but my identification card and debit card were stolen by an employee of this establishment. Service was awful. Dance floor sucks.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Just a heads up, if people are going to be paying their hard earned money to get into your venue, you should probably get a doorman that doesn't greet you by yelling in your face. Lol, trust me I didn't want to get in that badly. Then after that I was followed by some cheap cocktail waitress to make sure I left the building, even though I didn't even enter. I was waiting for my friends who were getting their money back and she said "you need to leave". I said, "I get it, you have your coworkers back, but there is no need to be rude when you have a douchebag at your front door. I'm waiting for my friends and trust me I'm leaving your ghetto a** club". Because that's exactly what it is.

This was my second time at this establishment and although my first experience was relatively good, I should have listened to my two friends who said they were blatantly ripped off. I experienced that first hand tonight. After 2 jack and cokes and 1 beer over the course of the night I went to close my tab where I was greeted with a $68.00 bill. "Ok there's been a mixup here which I'm willing to forgive so please give me the itemized receipt" to which I'm told they don't do itemized receipts. They literally keep tabs in notebooks and not a Point Of Sale system. Sounds like a great way to avoid paying taxes and rip off hard working patrons. Candibar, I know multiple people that have been subject to this racket who are also willing to share their experiences on the internet where they belong. Let's discuss this further

We bought overpriced tickets for New Years based on an advertisement that guaranteed a complimentary champagne toast. DO NOT PURCHASE FOR A FREE CHAMPAGNE TOAST! YOU WILL NOT GET ONE! Even when we brought it up to the manager and showed the false advertisement, he "shoo'd" us away. Not to mention we were getting stepped on and spilled on all night long. The music also was mediocre at best. We should have known because the only person working there who actually had their act together was the coat check guy, and I am not even positive he was working for Candibar and not Guilt. If there was a rating level lower than 1, I would have chosen it. I am not sure if the venue sucks less on days other than New Years, but I surely won't find out.

Ehhh this place is ok. I've heard great things about it, Ive yet to experience a good time. Maybe one day lol it's definitely beautiful inside !

Can someone explain to me why your ATM charged me $5 to withdraw money. I know the club scene in Boston sucks but at this point charging people a $5 ATM fee is blatantly unethical. BUT IM SORRY, I'll bring cash next time....

Sad to see a club operate in such a way, especially on the biggest night of Boston Pride. As a small group we were intimidated inside for no reason, a large male bouncer physically pushed a friend of mine onto the street, and another bouncer got physical with another member of my group to the point that handprints and bruises are everywhere-to top it off a male friend of ours attempted to enter the club, and was told he could not enter due to wearing linen shorts. After looking up the dress code as well as seeing several other men and women allowed in wearing shorts, we politely questioned clarification on the discrepancy and soon realized that the issue was not with the shorts but that my friend was gay. The only explanation we have retrieved from the manager George was kindly asking that we "didn't go there and stretch it...I mean we have gay nights." So discrimination due to race or sexual orientation is okay if the victim shows up when its not their assigned homosexuality night? As we left several other patrons were outside, visibly upset and claiming they had just been victims of discrimination and racism trying to enjoy a night out as well. If you support equality, enjoy Bostons nightlife somewhere else. @Candibar we do have photos and videos of the bodily harm you've caused, hope it was worth it

I just love how much this place is a gay bar. Gay for days. If you love gay bars, you'll love this bar cause it's DEFINITELY a gay bar.

My boyfriend and I went here last night for Fusion Fridays. I think this is a newer event. We have been taking Bachata for about a month and a half now and we are always looking for a place to dance. A lot of Latin clubs in the area concentrate more on Salsa dancing, which we have tried, but we prefer the slower, sexier Bachata dancing. We have found our place! The night starts with a free Bachata lesson from Glenio, who was energetic and fun. No partner required! Once the dancing started they played Bachata and Merengue in the main room, and there was a smaller room with hip hop/top 40. The space was great. I can't comment on the liquor prices, but the beers were $7 each, which is pretty standard Boston. Most Latin social dancing doesn't rely heavily on alcohol like club dancing though. :P Everyone varied in experience, but there were a lot of excellent dancers. It was fun to watch! It wasn't super crowded, but I actually prefer that. It was definitely heavier on the single males, if ladies come looking for a dance partner. A bit of an older crowd, which I also prefer, since my boyfriend and I are in our 30s and not into drunk, rowdy, sloppy clubs. This is definitely going to be our Friday night spot. If you are looking for a place to dance Bachata in the Boston area on Friday nights, this is it! A few tips: When we first came it was almost completely empty. (We came just after 9:00.) Don't be scared off! We almost were but I'm glad we stayed as it was worth it. You enter the same way as you would go into the Royale, but you go to the left down the stairs. It was easy to get on the guest list, but I think if you come early it doesn't matter, as no one was even at the door when we went in. After that there's a cover. I'm not sure how much it is. I saw other reviewers said $20, which seems steep, but wouldn't surprise me, as they need to make up for a lot of people probably not drinking. Really, $20 isn't bad for some great dancing! There are also bathroom attendants, so bring some ones. I hope they keep with these Fusion Fridays!

I went on a Saturday night, and boy, was it dead. If we didn't have a table, I probably would have left. The music was ok, top 40's, mix of house music, pop, and a bit of hip hop. Just down a couple drinks, get tipsy, and dance like a fool. Because there will be no one there to witness you lol.

I paid $20 cover charge which I thought was steep but when I checked my bar bill the next day on my debit account, I realized that I was charged $180 for 2 drinks! That is just completely ridiculous. Obviously, someone made an error and now I have to go through the hassle of fixing it. Ugh! Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else before this place. Tacky, shady and not worth the time. There are better places in Boston.

Loved it ! The atmosphere was amazing. My first time here yesterday and it absolutely will not be my last :) I chose four stars due to the drink prices, inconsistent pricing between bar tenders.

Tooo bad they changed the name. Underbar latino fridays were the besttt. So many pretty latinas ......:) I hope they will have latino nights again
