My wife and I stayed at the Candleberry Inn on Cape Cod. Marco and Angelo were the perfect hosts. From the stylish and comfortable room to the freshly cooked and unique breakfast, to the cozy guest lounge. Mid-afternoon when we returned from a day of moving about Cape Cod, Angelo had a goody bag of freshly baked, and again, unique goodies( for our stay biscotti's with a polenta spin and second day a cinnamon pound cake). The location is also the perfect base to explore Cape Cod. Marco was warm and friendly, with lots of useful knowledge about the area. Angelo was in the kitchen spinning those great breakfast and afternoon treats. In short, these gents, made you feel better than at home. The sociable breakfast staff was a great way to start the day and the housekeepers kept the room spotless. Thank you Marco, Angelo and staff for making our stay truly remarkable. My wife and I whole heartily recommend.

The care Marco and Angelo take is outstanding. Luxurious bed linens, delicious breakfasts, cupboards stocked with teas, coffees, and lovely dishes, a refrig stocked with sodas, a little freezer stocked with ice cream, fresh-baked sensational cookies every day. The gardens are tended, the common areas are cozy. Can’t say enough about Candleberry. I’ve already signed up for my summer 2025 stay!

We recently stayed at The Candleberry Inn for a short stay to attend a wedding at the Ocean’s Edge Resort just down the road. So happy we did. Our stay couldn’t have been better. Everyone we met was so welcoming and warm. Rooms were spotless and charming. Attention to detail throughout was notable. And finally, the breakfast was amazing! We will definitely be back. A true representation of Cape Cod charm!

We've stayed at numerous Bed and Breakfasts over the years and recently saw that the Candleberry was rated #1 in America, so we figured we'd give it a try. And so very glad that we did. The attention to detail they provide in everything they do, is unmatched. Both of the made from scratch breakfast and afternoon baked treats, are out of this world delicious. We can't wait to plan our next visit to the Candleberry Inn!

We could not have been happier staying at the Candleberry Inn. Marco and Angelo along with their staff have created a peaceful haven which we were loath to leave. From the cozy living room filled with books, games, magazines, with coffee, tea, and soft drinks available all day, to the freshly ironed sheets waiting to lull us to sleep, we wanted for nothing. ||Their passion for hospitality is present in their attention to every detail including Angelo’s delicious breakfasts and home-made afternoon treats, Marco’s gracious and welcoming presence, and the staff’s commitment to making our stay, in a word, perfect. Truly the very best inn we’ve had the opportunity to visit.

My husband and I traveled to Candleberry Inn on Cape Cod to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary last week. This is the third year in which we traveled to the romantic and tranquil Inn graciously owned and operated by Marco and Angelo, and we have already booked our reservation to return for our anniversary next year!||Our room (#7 in the Carriage House) was impeccable and inviting, the breakfasts and treats prepared daily by Angelo were amazing and deserving of a five star rating themselves (the pouched egg entrée accompanying thinly sliced pork loin in a tomato sauce with crispy toast was my personal favorite for breakfast and the lemon ricotta cookies were to die for), and Marco was incredibly attentive to every detail to ensure our stay was special, including making dinner reservations for us and sharing information about the Cape. Staff, from the servers to housekeeping, did an outstanding job in making our experience at the Inn outstanding. ||We had a wonderful evening around a fire pit at the Inn which we shared with another couple staying at the Inn for their eighth year. The longevity in which guests have been returning to the Inn does say something about the incredible experience one has when staying at the Candleberry Inn! ||Something of note … My husband found the bed so comfortable that he purchased the sheets for our home!||I strongly recommend the Candleberry Inn for any occasion! Just maybe we will run into each other at breakfast or in the gardens!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Candleberry Inn. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious! There are plenty of activities for all ages on the cape and close by to the Inn. Highly recommend the Inn - we will return!

Yelp
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Candleberry Inn, and we can confidently say it was one of the most delightful experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by gracious host, Marco, whose warmth and hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. The staff's attentiveness was remarkable, ensuring that every need was met with genuine care and a smile. The ambiance of the inn is simply enchanting. The perfect landscaping surrounding the inn is a testament to the owners' attention to detail, with lush gardens and meticulously designed pathways that create a picturesque and inviting atmosphere. Beautiful sounds of nature surround the property, creating a serene backdrop that perfectly complements the impeccable taste showcased in every detail of the decor. Personal touches, such as hand-written notes and thoughtfully curated local artwork, made our stay feel uniquely special. Every detail, was thoughtfully considered, creating an experience that felt both personalized and magical. Our room was a stunning blend of elegance and comfort, complete with upscale toiletries in the bathroom, luxurious bed linens, and plush towels that added an extra touch of indulgence to our experience. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we were greeted by the delightful scent of fresh linens and subtle hints of essential oils, creating a calming, aromatherapy moment that made us feel immediately relaxed. This property is a true sanctuary for relaxation. It felt like we had stepped into a dreamlike storybook, where every corner held a new charm. One of the many highlights of our stay was the delicious homemade breakfast made by Angelo, which featured not only an array of artisanal bakery treats but also savory options that were simply mouthwatering. The staff even remembered our coffee preferences, ensuring that each cup was just to our liking. Each meal was served with adorable serving dishes that made the presentation feel like a work of art, enhancing the overall dining experience. From the hand-peeled roasted tomatoes, which added a burst of flavor that perfectly complemented the meal, to the delightful lime zest sugar topping, that provided the perfect balance of sweetness and citrusy brightness. Breakfast was visually stunning and incredibly flavorful, showcasing the care that went into every dish. The Candleberry Inn is a Diamond that exceeds expectations in every way. The combination of gracious hosts, caring staff, impeccable attention to detail, and a beautiful setting makes it a must-visit destination. You will want for nothing when you stay here and will leave feeling truly pampered. We can't wait to return for another enchanting getaway! Thank you Marco, Angelo and Staff. Brava & much love.

Yelp
It would be a travesty to not rate this charming inn anything but 5-stars. And here is why. First of all the inn is beautiful, well appointed, and the building and grounds are well manicured and taken care. Second, the innkeepers themselves are very friendly and accommodating. Marco, Angelo and Steffi are delights to be around and talk to. They are more than willing to share their insights into activities on the Cape and places to visit. They are fonts of knowledge. As well as fun to talk to. Third the breakfasts are exceptional. Angelo is the master chef behind a varied and healthy breakfast. It was a treat each morning we stayed. A fruit course followed by the main breakfast. Fourth, speaking of treats. Each afternoon a small box labeled with our names with a bake good of some sort was waiting for us in the inn. They were delicious and much looked forward to. Fifth, the sleeping room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a small but adequate bathroom. We had access to an outdoor veranda/porch sitting area, which we took advantage of each day. This small inn is a real treasure in Brewster. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
It was so amazing to return to Candleberry and be blown away a second time. Marco and Angelo are both amazing innkeepers and gentleman. The property is absolutely immaculate and everything is so well kept. Our room was made daily. Each day the breakfast were as high end and as a 5 star luxury resort. We can't leave out saying thank you to Stephanie. She is an absolute angel and a ball of happy energy. We already booked next year to return and are counting the days. There is nothing left to desire or ask for when you stay here. It is a true visit with historic luxury.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We originally chose this venue based on its location and charm. The Innkeepers, Marco and Angelo, have created the most beautiful bed and breakfast experience. Their warmth and hospitality combined with beautifully decorated rooms, main house, and delicious menus far exceeded our expectations. The main house is filled with beautiful art and decor that perfectly matches the ambiance of the area and is complete with personalized touches that make the guests feel right at home.

Yelp
This B & B is one of the best that I have found. The owners work hard to enable their guests to relax in comfort. The rooms are beautifully decorated, immaculate and very comfortable. The surrounding lawns and gardens are lush, full of blooming plants and inviting. You are near several interesting sites within walking distance: including the Brewster General Store, and the Brewster Bookstore (well-worth a visit). The owners give very good dining advice. If you rise early, you can drive to a beach, return and enjoy an outstanding breakfast adjusted ( within reason) to your dietary preferences. A visit to the Candleberry Inn fells like a little vacation in Paradise.

Yelp
candleberry inn was incredible- it felt very central to anything we might want to do on the cape and the service is unmatched! marco and angelo truly make you feel like family. the food is absolutely delicious and the beds/rooms were so comfy! 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Outstanding Inn! Marco and Angelo have perfected the bed-and-breakfast experience. We felt like royalty at Candleberry for our 25th anniversary. The room was gorgeous and peaceful. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. You will not get a better breakfast than at Candleberry. I am gluten-free, and they accommodated me in the most delicious way! Even the afternoon treats were labeled "gluten free" to put me at ease. Thank you Marco, Angelo, and Stephanie! This was an anniversary to remember. We will return!

Yelp
Do you like having some of the friendliest Innkeepers, delicious breakfast (complementary with your reservation), proximity to the beach (12 minute walk), beach towels and beach chairs, free pastries provided during the afternoon, showering yourself in Malin+Goetz bath products, all while staying in a historical yet updated inn? If the answer is YES then I would highly recommend choosing the Candleberry Inn. Marco and Angelo were very accommodating to say the least. We started our mornings with a wonderful complementary multi-course breakfast that often exceeded our expectations (and more often than not, better than food that we've had on the rest of the Cape). In the afternoons we enjoyed free pastries also made by Angelo. The best part about this trip was that this high level of service was still made possible during COVID-19. Candleberry Inn has done the necessary precautions to make sure that we felt safe during COVID-19, such as: requiring masks outside of the room, allowing dining to be socially distant from other guests, and providing individually wrapped bags of ice and water bottles. We would definitely return again.

Yelp
The Innkeepers truly have put thought into every tiny detail and comfortable amenity to make your stay here feel like home from the chilled filtered water placed in your room's refrigerator every day to the home-baked treats every afternoon. The two-course breakfast each morning was nothing short of perfection. (Well done, Angelo, you successfully sold my husband on poached eggs, and that was not an easy task.) The inn's grounds are lush and green, and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons enjoying wine (from the Truro winery) by the outdoor fire. Marco, you were so friendly and welcoming, taking care to show us every amenity, advise us on sites around the Cape, and greeting us every morning for breakfast. You are a delight. You and Angelo have undoubtedly created an inn that allowed my husband and I to just be together with no kids and no worries. You really have thought of everything. Thank you (and your friendly staff!) for your gracious hospitality and for far exceeding our expectations.

Rick C.

Yelp
If we could, we would give the Candleberry Inn a rating greater than five stars. Marco and Angelo are the most accommodating hosts any guests could ever hope for. The room and amenities were superb. Marco assured us that if there was anything we needed that was not already provided he would see that it was. But there was nothing lacking. Everything was perfect. It is no surprise to us that every review is a five star review. Lynne and Rick

Yelp
Our babymoon here could not have been more perfect! My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in the Carriage House and had the absolute best time here. Not only was the room exceptionally clean and comfortable, with meticulous attention to detail in the daily housekeeping, but the food was outrageously good. With a gluten intolerance, my husband is always a bit underwhelmed and disappointed by the limited options he has, but Marco and Angelo were exceptionally accommodating and made him alternative treats and breakfast dishes that were above and beyond all expectations, even better than some dedicated gluten-free bakeries we've tried! The service, the food, the rooms, the ambiance... not a single detail was overlooked by these owners. It was so incredible that we already booked our next trip here and plan to make this an annual vacation. We can't possibly recommend this place highly enough!! Marco & Angelo, thank you, THANK YOU for giving us the absolute best experience we could have ever dreamed of. See you next year!

Lola B.

Yelp
The very best! The property is gorgeous and meticulously managed by Marco and Angelo. The rooms are beautiful with high end linens and spa products. You are welcomed into the Inn with your own package of delicious baked goods each afternoon that are personalized with your names. The breakfast is outstanding. Fresh pineapple shaved ice with shaved lime and a wonderful sausage breakfast burrito and Day one and on the second day, grilled red ruby grapefruit with berries accompanied by fluffy Apple blueberry pancakes with bacon. Marco and Angelo are the most gracious hosts and it is truly a privilege to be their guest!!

Yelp
Stayed August 30th thru September 5th, 2020. We knew we were in for an amazing stay, despite Covid-19, from the moment we received an email to download the app that gave us all the info we needed... Procedures put in place to assure everyone's safety, info about the area, and almost everything you could possibly want to know was in the app. We arrived just about check-in time and Marco, one of the owners, greeted us warmly, gave us the tour of the property & the amenities, and handed us our keys... super easy - super smooth check-in. The property is beautiful and impeccably maintained... plenty of places to just sit and relax (while practicing social-distancing, of course), crack open the delicious bottle of wine we were provided by our hosts, or eat our always delicious daily afternoon "sweet treats". Daily breakfast was amazing... a different fresh fruit course every morning followed by a main course alternating between sweet and savory (poached eggs, pancakes, breakfast burrito, french toast, etc). The daily breakfast offerings were so well planned out, we didn't deviate off the menu once except one of us wanted scrambled eggs instead of poached... a request met with a "SURE!... whatever you want" response from Marco who also oversees breakfast service while his partner Angelo is in the kitchen churning out recipes handed down from his mom. We always left the table full and satisfied. Accommodations are amazingly clean and equally comfortable. The king-sized bed put us to sleep in short order, the towels are thick and soft, and the spa robes were a welcome surprise. Because of the pandemic, towel change service is by "request" only (basically you throw the towels you'd like changed into a large laundry bag and leave it inside the room next to the door). The inn is, in my opinion, one of the best areas on the Cape... centrally located to Cape Cod's best things to see & do. Terrific restaurants, a liquor store/deli, general store, ice-cream shop are all within walking distance. TIP: Stick with Angelo & Marco's local restaurant recommendations... we deviated once, and big surprise... we were not happy. Truro is an easy 30 minute drive, Provincetown 40 minutes, and Hyannis to catch the ferries to Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket about 20. A 2 minute car ride or 15 minute walk gets you to Breakwater Beach on Cape Cod Bay. Marco and Angelo provided beach chairs & beach towels so that was thankfully, a couple more things we didn't have to pack. We didn't bring or rent bicycles, but the Cape Cod Rail Trail and a bike rental shop are right in their neck of the woods too. We'll definitely be back to the Candleberry Inn. All the five-star reviews are well-earned. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Having cancelled our tour of the northern lakes of Italy due to Covid19, my wife suggested a Cape Cod vacation combined with a road trip up to the Cape. Armed with that request, I began searching for an Inn that offered an upscale, yet informal, comfortable atmosphere in and around the Brewster, Mass area. Frankly, it did not take long to begin focusing on The Candleberry Inn, 1882 Main St, Brewster, Mass. After digesting the many photos of the Inn's offerings, I knew we would be in for a treat if we booked within the Carriage House adjacent to the main building. We did, in fact, get that booking much to my liking! This particular room (No. 1) is situated directly at the front of the Carriage House, grade level with no steps or stairs needed to enter. There are other rooms within the Carriage House and main building as well. Following a lovely drive from our home in northern NJ, we easily found the Inn (with the aid of GPS) and, within several hours, turned into their manicured hedge-lined drive and parked within the generous parking area only several yards from the Guest Entrance. Our initial impressions included admiring the lush gardens and blooms that surrounded the main building and grounds. We arrived somewhat later than planned and were greeted, however, by one of the Owners, Marco who warmly welcomed us to the Inn providing an introduction. At this time, we sensed that we were in for a treat for selecting The Candleberry Inn for our stay at the Cape! After settling in, we explored our room and were delighted to find the private patio beyond the double French doors off of the bedroom. The private bath was found to be extremely generous in size and very well equipped with many spare, thick thirsty towels of all sizes including a good selection of bath and shower care products. We believe the bed in our room was a California King size and the room was sized accordingly. At breakfast time, we then experienced the culinary skills of Marco's partner and co-owner, Angelo, who prepared sumptuous 3 course dishes normally found in a very upscale restaurant. Comfortable tables and chairs were set out on the outdoor patio for breakfast. Again, the table settings reflected that of a grand estate from yesteryear, a real treat! Juices of several varieties were offered as well as an endless pot of coffee. It must be pointed out that a different hot breakfast fare was presented to us every morning, all quite delicious! Our hosts did not hesitate to take the time to chat with us each morning, a nice touch indeed. Every evening, Angelo prepares a surprise bakery treat, packaged within a neat "gift" bag with the guests names shown on the bag. We simply picked up our bag and enjoyed Angelo's creation each evening with a beverage. We brought some home as we had accumulated one or two bags during the week. Although many brochures were available for touring, Marco provided us with several interesting suggestions for getting out and about with the car. We found a special beach nearby, several restaurants just down the road and, one or two very high-end places in close-by towns. Each of those car rides brought us through the classic New England countryside passing General Stores and specialty shops, cruising the back roads of Brewster which were curved and winding as we explored the area from one end of the Cape to the other with beautiful sunny weather following us each day. Returning to the Inn each evening, we found the Carriage House to be peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the lush greenery just beyond the private patio and watched as playful chipmunks scurried in and about the dense vegetation beyond. Many hummingbird feeding stations were seen in and around the Inn as the height of colorful flowering stems attracted their amazing ability to stay aloft in one spot. We enjoyed each and every day and evening while being guests at The Candleberry Inn. Our hosts, Marco and Angelo, including their wonderful breakfast staff, created a seamless atmosphere which made us feel welcomed and comfortable during our entire stay. The Candleberry Inn is certainly recommended as a Go-To destination should your travels bring you to Brewster Mass or to the surrounding area!

Yelp
Most amazing B&B experience! The rooms are beautiful, clean, and luxurious. Very nice touches with the daily baked goods and wonderful breakfasts. Definitely recommend!

Emily C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I did a weekend getaway to the Cape and stayed at this lovely B&B and we had the BEST time! The inn itself is so cute, well-kept, and very homey. The grounds are gorgeous and our stay in the Highlands room was exactly what we wanted. Everything was very clean, sanitized and expectations were clearly stated. The inn is also in a great location in Brewster and walking distance to the library and general store. We love the beaches in Brewster and all of our favorites were a short drive away. The innkeepers, Marco and Angelo, are very kind, caring, and professional hosts. They still made us feel welcome and were very personable even with all the extensive measures they have to take to take care of the safety of themselves and their guests. They also sent us a new app prior to our stay to help us read about different measures and accommodations we'd expect--this was a very comprehensible and succinct way to receive information ahead of time. Something that Marco and Angelo did that was above and beyond was send us a text around 10:30pm when they noticed a light in our car was left on. They saved us from a dead car battery in the morning which we thought was very considerate of them! The homemade breakfasts and afternoon sweets are delicious! Breakfast was on the garden patio and it's such a magical place to have breakfast in the morning. Even though the inn is on a main road on the Cape (route 6A) the garden patio provided enough coverage because of the luscious plants and flowers. (Would totally recommend drinking the Brewster Sunrise!) The afternoon snacks were delicious and we were excited everyday to see what yummy treats we'd get in the afternoon (they changed everyday). They also packaged these in their own individual containers and wrote any allergy information on these packages which I appreciated as I have a nut allergy. Although we didn't take advantage of this, there were beach chairs and towels we could use. Everything was clearly labeled what things were sanitized and where to put used items. This is all being said while in the midst of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, but we STILL had an amazing time because of the thoughtfulness of Marco and Angelo. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this and will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
What can I say about the Candleberry Inn? WOW! FANTASTIC! WONDERFUL! Everything is perfect from the grounds, the room, the breakfast and our innkeepers Marco and Angelo. We stayed in the see breeze room in the carriage house. There is an outside deck on the back of this building that we were able to enjoy for several evenings while we were there. Our room was very comfortable and included a small refrigerator. Each room has its own bathroom, no shared bathrooms. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There is a lovely patio in the back where you can have coffee and sit and watch the birds. There are several restaurants that are within walking distance along with a late night bar. It's also centrally located for leisurely drives to different towns on the Cape. If you want the beach, you can either walk or drive to it. I'm not going to tell you what was served for breakfast except you won't go away hungry. I'm also pretty sure that Angelo or Marco can get you anything you need. If you are looking for a home away from home, this is it. I always end my reviews with the question, "would I come back here?" Not only would I come back here- I don't want to leave.

Chet M.

Yelp
Another Update & ANOTHER 5 Stars... Consistently the best on the Cape, yet somehow year after year Marco and Angelo make it even better! The only place worth staying on the Cape- hands down.

Nathan D.

Yelp
Once convinced that babymoons are a real thing. The wife and I set out to find the perfect weeklong getaway location on the Cape. I wanted a historic feel and she wanted easy access to the local beaches and dinning. Next was to find a location that during a pandemic would be able to accommodate all of our wants and dreams. The Candleberry Inn in Brewster ended up being the perfect location for us. The Inn is perfectly set back from the main road in town. It is a short walk to the local creamery, general store, or restaurants. We spent days at the local beach. Make sure to buy your local beach parking pass before heading to the one of the Brewster beaches. The Inn keepers Marco and Angelo provided us with all the necessary information to have a successful trip. We arrived a little after 3 PM on the day of check-in. We were met at the door by Marco. Who graciously explained the abbreviated check-in policy. He showed us around the home and then to our room for the week. Upon entering we were surprised to find a beautiful note and present for our soon to arrive baby girl. That note and the stuffed owl set the perfect tone for our week at the Candleberry Inn. The house is beautiful and well-appointed throughout. The room we stayed in was located on the first floor. The wife loved not having to climb stairs with only 5 weeks to go. The room was clean. Shower was hot! The bedding was very comfortable. The in-room AC unit did an amazing job keeping the room comfy during the warm summer nights. The Inn provides chairs and towels for guests to use at the local beaches. If you are bringing a bike there are bike racks for use in the back of the property. The property has beautiful flower beds and a well-manicured lawn with adirondack chairs. Perfect for afternoon tea or the adult beverage of your choice. We spent an afternoon playing cards relaxing in the sun. One of the best moments of our trip. It was so relaxing and refreshing. Every afternoon you will find a perfectly boxed treat for you to snack. When we were there they had the different baked goods on the table for 3 PM. A delicious little snack between lunch and dinner. I'm telling you. You will not want to leave once you arrive! The reason you'll come back. Breakfast. The food prepared by Angelo is fantastic. The rooms are comfy sure. But the food is perfect. From the aforementioned mid day snacks to the breakfast. Every day for 5 days we were greeted with a new and tasty creation by Angelo. It is worth mentioning that the wife and I are both "breakfast people". We are both not looking forward to having to say goodbye today to our great hosts. I'm really not looking forward to going back to making my own breakfast every AM. I wonder what it would cost to hire a cook... I digress. It's worth also mentioning that our trip was in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. Which presented extra concerns for my wife and I. Marco and Angelo were amazingly helpful throughout our stay. When we booked they assuaged all fears related to our stay with them. Our trip ended up being everything we had hoped for. A huge thank you to Marco and Angelo for providing my wife and I a memorable babymoon!

Yelp
My Dad and I came up to the Cape for a long weekend. Marco and Angelo were the most welcoming, hospitable innkeepers. They had suggestions on where to eat dinner whenever we asked, they welcomed us with open arms and we felt at home immediately. Breakfast was my favorite part of my stay at Candleberry. Angelo made the most gourmet breakfast I have ever had. Five stars! The first thing I tasted was my fruit course on the first morning: grapefruit, sprinkled with fresh grated ginger and topped with a little brown sugar and broiled. Absolutely scrumptious. They were so accommodating. I called to book a month in advance and Marco asked if there were any food allergies for either my Dad or me; I am lactose intolerant but mostly just make do with taking a Lactaid pill but since I mentioned it, Marco and Angelo stocked their kitchen with Almond milk for my coffee and for food they made for breakfast. There are always little baked goods, usually still warm and steaming, on the complimentary tea/coffee cradenza in the living room. I loved the cookies -a peanut/chocolate chip treat. And the cinnamon coffee cake. The room was very comfortable. I am a picky sleeper (I did end up bringing my own pillow out of habit) but I slept extremely well (it's that Cape Cod air, perhaps!) My Dad noted that his bed was very "springy". We stayed in a Carriage House room with two double beds, equipped with a refrigerator, which was handy for leftovers from our various restaurants we went to. I would come back and stay here again in a heartbeat. I rave about this place to anyone who will listen. My Dad and I still look back at our time here with great fondness, including the very enjoyable conversations we had with Marco and Angelo. What wonderful people/innkeepers. I really look forward to coming back here.

Yelp
Outstanding. This charming and historic property is lovingly and meticulously maintained. The perfect place to unwind. When I think of thoughtful service I will be reminded of the Candleberry Inn staff. I don't want to give away all the niceties and culinary delights offered to each guest so suffice to say that you will not be disappointed. PS. Have breakfast on the outdoor patio . Cate and Steve

Yelp
Even a FIVE STAR rating doesn't adequately describe this excellent bed and breakfast! The Innkeepers at Candleberry have an eye for detail and create a warm and comfortable environment. From the beautifully landscaped grounds, outdoor sitting areas, and gardens to the comfortable and clean guest rooms; you will be impressed. Let's talk breakfast. For the early risers, a well stocked / coffee and tea bar is always available just off the main parlor. The dining area is arranged for casual conversation with the other guests or quiet privacy, your choice. In mild weather you can choose to dine on the patio as well. There are several choices that remain a constant on the menu, but I always go with the special of the day. You can tell just by the way each course is plated, that it will be great. Fresh fruit skewers to start, family recipe omelette, and home baked (still warm!) muffin will get your day started off right. This place is a gem. Don't even think twice, you won't be disappointed. PS I think if you call ahead they can arrange good weather. It worked for me.

Yelp
This Inn is amazing! The innkeepers are genuine very kind people and the room was extremely clean and very pretty definitely will be coming again.

Yelp
What an amazing place, experience, meal, and location! My husband and I visited for the weekend for a wedding nearby and we wished we could stay MUCH longer! There are not words enough to describe Marco, Angelo, and the rest of the staff. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable as well. The location is great and they really keep the property in pristine condition - The landscape is gorgeous and the smell of the flowers every morning was so wonderful to wake up to. Angelo and Marco sure know how to cook up a great breakfast, too! My husband is a chef at a prominent restaurant in Chicago so sufficed to say his palate is not always easy to please, but Angelo and Marco really put together some thoughtful dishes. We really enjoyed spending the mornings in the intimate dining room and sharing conversation with everyone - My husband really splurged on the coffee and homemade cookies :) We unfortunately do not get out to the Cape as much as we'd like, but this may be more of a reason to make it happen more often. We will definitely go back and stay here. We can't thank everyone there enough for such a perfect and memorable stay!

Yelp
Marco and Angelo are gracious hosts, welcoming all to their lovely bed and breakfast. Our room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. The main house is lovingly maintained with beautiful antiques, but we were encouraged to enjoy the common spaces and relax with coffee and homemade treats every afternoon. Our breakfasts were delicious! And the grounds were spectacular!! All the spring flowers were in bloom which added to the elegance of this historic Inn. We look forward to visiting again. Yelp
This bed and breakfast is excellent for food, service and atmosphere. Marco and Angelo are the best in making you feel as if you are their only guests. The breakfast not only satisfies the taste buds but the presentation is like something out of a gourmet food magazine. Oh and the afternoon "delight" surprises of cookies, brownies and cinnamon swirl butter cakes were a real treat in the afternoon. The bedrooms are comfy , cozy and include wireless phone chargers and up to date bathrooms. Our garden room had a cozy patio surrounded by trees and comfortable seating outside. The Brewster flats are only a short 5 mins away and if you check the schedule of the tides, you can see the sun set over the flats and capture nature at its best. The grounds of the Candleberry Inn envelope the house with blooming hydrangeas and mature trees that house melodious bird songs. We love you Marco and Angelo! Thank you for such warm hospitality and making our stay one to remember! Kathy and Susan. Room #1

Yelp
This place is perfect! Attention to details in everything. Marco is very pleasant and accommodating. He made us feel welcomed. Angelo is a great chef he made delicious breakfast and freshly baked afternoon treats. What more could you ask for?! We would definitely stay here again. Thank You!

Yelp
My husband and I just returned from our favorite place on the Cape, the Candleberry Inn in Brewster. If you love historic B&B's, do yourself a favor and make a reservation today. The hosts, Marco and Angelo, make us feel like the Inn is our second home and treat everyone like family. This year -- our fifth stay at the Candleberry -- we found a delicious homemade cupcake in our room to celebrate our anniversary and my husband's retirement. Warm touches like this one are typical of Marco and Angelo's hospitality and beckon us to return again and again. Their five star hospitality is matched by the Inn's five star food offerings. Angelo is an aptly named chef and baker-- the Angel of the kitchen. His delicious creations are so beautifully plated that you hate to eat them. Artfully arranged fruit dishes precede the main course and are served either inside or out, depending on your choice. (I like to eat outside where their luscious gardens spill over the edges of the covered patio.) Each meal Angelo makes is a gustatory treat, from the savory breakfasts to sinfully good midafternoon treats of cookies, brownies, or cakes. Offerings are generous and leave us so pleasantly sated that we rarely bother eating lunch. Marco is the "face of the place," so to speak. No one makes us feel more welcome than Marco each time we visit. He's patient and kind, and he generously gives of himself in any way we need. He personally inspects each room before our arrival to make sure everything is up to his standards, from the linens to the sparkle on the "jewelry" (the hardware in the bathrooms:-). He also keeps the morning breakfast running smoothly and always stops to chat with us despite being busy. The two men complement one another perfectly and make the Candleberry our Cape Place to Be. This year we were surprised to find that all the rooms had new bathrooms installed. Each now has tastefully tiled floors and showers, and some even have soaking tubs! I love staying in an historic home but I am grateful for modern conveniences too. Although the Inn is one of the oldest buildings in Brewster, it has every amenity necessary for 21st century living. The Inn's setting is perfect too. Everything you want or need is a short drive away, and the Brewster location is free of the commercialism that mars other sections of the Cape. Attractive old churches and homes line the streets, a cemetery with gravestones going back to the 1700's lends itself to strolls, or if you miss shopping, you can get ice cream at the Brewster Scoop or browse in the Brewster General Store, a local institution that has been selling everything from candy to lamp parts since 1866. Benches outside the store create a sort of town square where people gather to chat or relax and enjoy their surroundings. If you could remove the cars from the equation, you could easily imagine yourself living in an earlier, less hectic time. The Candleberry is also within walking distance of a local beach and within driving distance of several other Cape beaches. Personally we love the nearby Brewster Flats because of the spectacular sunsets and the expanse of open beach during low tide. If you like big, crashing waves, though, the National Seashore is a mere 20 minute drive away. Brewster is central to everything. I could go on about the immense pleasure I take from my stays at the Candleberry Inn forever, but you really need to experience it for yourself. My descriptions are poor substitutes for the real thing. My husband and I are already planning a return trip. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We booked this place on a whim for a one night getaway on Cape Cod, but we were not prepared for how truly amazing it would be! Although the Inn itself is beautiful and immaculate, what makes it truly special is its two owners, Marco and Angelo! They are such genuine people and made us feel special and pampered. There is a beautiful little beach just a 10 minute walk away, and there are a few great restaurants also in walking distance. We can't wait to be back and are already planning our next stay!

Yelp
This was a much needed getaway for my husband and I. I was a little wary traveling for the first time since the pandemic, but the staff went above and beyond to make this stay really comfortable and made sure everything met up to safety standards. Nothing was compromised, and everything was perfect from the daily breakfasts to the amenities, to the rooms. I will definitely bee visiting next time I'm in Cape Cod and highly recommend to anyone else looking!

Yelp
Wow great place well Maintained. Clean and attention to every detail. These guys run a tight ship. Covid-19 compliant and so friendly. Rooms were well stocked great towels very clean comfortable private. Would highly recommend. Exceeded my expectations. Breakfast were expertly prepared and presentation was beautiful and unique.

Yelp
The breakfast made fresh every day was truly a godsend. It really made the place feel like home. We stayed in Seabreeze, one of the rooms on the upper level, and had a porch right outside it that we shared with the only other room on that floor, which was perfect because we often had it all to ourselves! The staff was so kind and friendly. I think about this B&B often and highly recommend it to those looking for a beautiful, quiet, relaxing spot to call home when you're in Cape Cod!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here one night on the cape. It is so quaint and beautiful. We wished we could stay longer. Marco and Angelo are wonderful inn keepers and hosts. Breakfast was perfect and the inn is cozy. Angelo baked fresh biscotti and brownies for us to enjoy. Our room was beautiful and perfect for two people (room 5). Free parking. Brewster is a cute place to stay. We drove up to PTown for the night and Angelo gave us great local recommendations for food and drinks there. We are planning our next stay and hope to return soon!

Yelp
Our weekend at Candleberry Inn was absolutely wonderful. Marco made us feel welcome before we even arrived as he helped us arrange for a late evening arrival. We stayed in the Garden Suite which was beautiful. We appreciated all the small touches throughout the weekend. The staff at the inn did a fantastic job of making us feel safe. They only sat a certain number of tables (outside in the beautiful garden) for breakfast, and you could see how often they wiped down common touch points. The breakfasts themselves were also amazing! Would happily return!!

Yelp
The innkeepers Marco and Angelo make this gorgeous bed and breakfast the perfect place to stay. From the amazing breakfasts every morning, daily treats, sparkling clean rooms, and beautiful grounds they truly go above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and they even called the restaurant they recommended to get us a special table. I cannot recommend staying here enough

Yelp
Unsurpassed! Candleberry's hosts, Marco and Angelo, offer everything that sets a B&B stay apart from a hotel: passionate attention to detail and a genuine love of people. After a wonderful three-night stay, my husband and I nearly cried when we said goodbye to them. First, the inn itself: the building and the grounds are immaculate yet welcoming. Our room (Breezing Up) was airy and beautifully decorated. The furnishings and wonderful wide-planked floor were a constant reminder the inn was originally built as a captain's house. As for creature comforts, it was easily the most thoughtfully-appointed room I've stayed in, with superb linens, comfy reading chairs, a quiet A/C unit, and other thoughtful touches. If you prefer details to surprises, check out the "Spoilers" section below. Be sure to walk the grounds. We stayed in late June, when the hydrangeas, roses, and lilies were blooming, but the gardens will be delightful in any season. The boxwood looks like something from an enchanted forest. There's ample parking as well. Now to the most important element in a B&B: the hosts. Marco and Angelo are generous of spirit and love what they do. That spirit shows in the extraordinary breakfast (our three meals exceeded anything I've had in a Four Seasons hotel) and the over-the-top attention to detail. Angelo works his wizardry in the kitchen while Marco attends to your every need with expertise and kindness. Their warmth came through in spite of the required masks. And if you're worried about COVID, they have taken every step to ensure everyone's safety, including that of their staff. Spoiler Alert! Do not read if you like pleasant surprises! You'll find two superb local chocolates in your room upon arrival. Angelo makes cookies from scratch every day, presented in a brown bag on the dining room table in the afternoon. The room offers two guest robes, two luggage racks, a high-quality close-up mirror, and fabulous towels (including two black washcloths for guilt-free makeup removal). Outlets abound, easily accessible from each side of the bed. Breakfast is an experience! First, Marco brings each person his or her own coffee carafe, which I love, and describes the two-course breakfast of the day. Fruit--in innovative, unique combinations--comes first, then something hot and satisfying. Each course is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate, prepared with utmost care, and served with grace. We were lucky. Because of COVID, the inn wasn't completely full, and that allowed us extra time with Marco and Angelo. It sounds corny, but we felt we were leaving two friends behind when we said goodbye.

Yelp
Once again, a fantastic stay at the Candleberry Inn. I visited the 2nd week of July, at the height of summer Cape Cod vacation season. While the Inn was full, I still felt like the same high standards of service and friendliness from Marco, Angelo and their staff that I've experienced before. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks were as great as ever, and the tips for restaurants, beaches, sites, activities, and shops were spot on. I am heading back in the fall for a stay and cannot wait.

Yelp
Desperately looking for a change of scenery and relaxation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, my fiance and I decided upon a trip to the Cape. We chose Brewster for a variety of reasons, including the history, the beaches, and the lush greenery. All those things we were hoping for were incredible, but our stay at the Candleberry is what will drive us to revisit. Marco and Angelo went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and ensure us that nothing would be compromised in the way of safety. Upon our arrival, Marco already knew who we were without having to share our names. He shows genuine interest in your stay and he and Angelo go out of their way to interact with and get to know the guests. The inn grounds are impeccably kept, and the breakfast is incredible. Marco and Angelo truly thought of everything when it came to our stay (tide schedules, lists of COVID compliant restaurants, the personalized service). Marco and Angelo truly make you feel like you are guests in their own home and it's unarguably clear that they love what they do. Exceeded our expectations!

Yelp
I traveled with my husband for a weekend of R & R on Cape Cod and had a delightful experience at the Candleberry Inn. The innkeepers, Marco and Angelo are the most gracious hosts and have everything so well thought out. Upon our arrival, we felt instantly at home. The Inn: The Inn is set back from the main road and is surrounded by a sprawling lawn, flowers and trees. As you enter the Inn the beautiful open layout invites you to immediately relax. The Inn was once own by a New England Sea Captain and the historical charm is well preserved within the Inn with a lovely balance of well- appointed New England décor combined with Modern facilities. The Breakfast: EXCELLENT! The Fluffy blueberry pancakes served with grilled Grapefruit was a great treat! And the Zucchini Frittata [the InnKeepers Mother's secret recipe] was beyond delicious! And I have to say my favorite was the Cranberry muffins! Buttery and moist, these fruity muffins had a light custard centered and topped with a crumbly brown sugar streusel. Omg Truly delicious. The also offer a uniquely deliciously morning juice blend: called the Brewster Sunrise ! Also the Inn serves perfectly brewed Coffee with Breakfast. And then they also offer a Coffee bar, so we could make our own coffee throughout the day. They craft their menu daily and each new dish is a work of art! The Room: We stayed in the Seacroft Suite which was comfortable in every way. We had our own thermostat so we were able to control the weather, in our room The bed was extremely comfortable (and the shower pressure was perfect) Each room is unique with it's own character and charm. My husband and I kept saying how great this place would be for a Wedding. The Inn sits on 2 acres of gorgeous landscaped lawn and gardens, perfect place for a Wedding tent and to accommodate many guests. And the Rooms with the adjacent patios or Carriage house would be a perfect spot for any Bride-to-be and her bridesmaid entourage to get ready for the big day. Also, the Inn sits surrounded by 3 lovely New England churches. The Area: Just a short walk to restaurants, the town and the beaches. We dined at The Brewster Chowder House every night! We could not get enough of their Chowder, Wow - the best we've ever had. The General Store right up the street is something you must explore. It's full of New England treasures. And very close to Provincetown: The Inn is about 45 minutes from PTown so we took a day trip out there and had a great day exploring all the shops. On our way back we stopped at gorgeous Breakwater Beach, which is located just down the road from the Inn! Overall, this is a Beautiful Cape Cod Inn. Lovely and amazing InnKeepers! We felt totally restored and refreshed upon our return to NYC. A Great place to go and get away from it all. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This was our favorite place we stayed on the East Coast during our 2 week vacation. Marco and Angelo are the absolute best! They made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. It felt as though we were visiting family. We stayed in the highland room, which was spacious, spotless and comfortable. It met all our needs. The bathroom in that room is on the small side (we were told that prior to booking), but it was functional. The real treat is the delicious breakfast prepared by Angelo. We stayed 3 days and were served French toast, frittatas and pancakes. Each breakfast starts with fresh fruit with different sauces drizzled on top. It is outstanding! We highly recommend staying here and hope to be back one day if we're in the East Coast.

Yelp
Our two day stay at the Candleberry Inn was wonderful, again. This time we stayed in the "Beach Rose" room which was beautiful. Comfortable queen bed. Very nice newly renovated bathroom with a new soaking bath. We normally use the shower in hotels and BnB's, but this was new, very clean and very nice. The room was exceptionally clean everywhere. The breakfasts were fabulous and not the usual fare. It changes so it would be difficult to predict what is being served, but both breakfasts were just fabulous. There were individually marked and boxed snacks (due to COVID, so no self-serve food) that were equally fantastic. The food is prepared by the owners and is just wonderful. The owners and staff are very attentive and caring, and the entire staff make the stay very pleasant. The grounds are very well maintained and have a wonderful variety of flowering shrubs and trees. The location is about centrally placed which gives easy access to everything Cape Cod has to offer (by car). The closest beach is maybe a 10 minute walk, which if you are up to it is very nice. Of course you have to walk by a wonderful General Store on the way, so good luck avoiding the temptation to browse and shop.

Yelp
The absolute best place to stay mid-Cape Cod! The hosts have thought of every details and it shows in the room comfort and style. The breakfast is first rate. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The staff is attentive and kind. The location is convenient to o beaches and shooed and the town of Brewster is my favorite on the Cape! We will be back over and over again!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed here after he rode in the PMC. Marco and Angelo are amazing! They have created such a beautiful space and we were already talking about coming back on our drive home. The rooms are beautiful- and the beds so comfortable. I loved everything down to the products in the bathroom. The house was originally built in the 1700s and they have kept the historic nature in tact while still providing modern comforts of charging stands by the bed and central AC. The grounds are stunning and we enjoyed coffee on the Adirondack chairs in the morning and then an outstanding breakfast cooked by Angelo. We took advantage of the chairs and towels they offered to take to the beach and it couldn't have been more convenient. I have already recommended this BnB to others and definitely hope to return!

Yelp
My family and I had the best experience. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The breakfast is to die for. Definitely recommend

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon while in Cape Cod. Everything was outstanding. Marco and Angelo are excellent hosts and truly made us feel at home. They had no issues accommodating my wife's allergies. Every meal was made from scratch and we had gluten free waffles for the first time in years! Our room was spotless and the rest of the property was sanitized and cleaned according to covid policies. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends/family. TripAdvisor rated this the #1 Bed & Breakfast on the Cape, and we wholeheartedly agree!

Yelp
There is a reason that all the reviews below are 5 stars. And they are all accurate! I concur completely. The Candleberry Inn is a great BnB in a more quiet area on the cape. Was a good getaway weekend from it all. Innkeepers Marco and Angelo are tremendous hosts. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a good one. The house is updated, very clean, and our room (the Rose room) was a great size and very cute. Overall such a comfortable and fun experience. Not to mention that the breakfasts are fantastic! Some of the best BnB breakfasts we have ever had. They also have coffee and tea available all day, and baked goods in the afternoon. We will be back. Thank you Marco and Angelo!

Yelp
Beautiful location - absolutely gorgeous grounds with plenty of parking and shade. Went in early July, and all the flowers were blooming. Cute interior and backyard as well. Garden suite in the carriage house was stunning; a little pricy but tons of space, a two-person jacuzzi, and our own porch and porch furniture! Plus mini-fridge, microwave, bath towels...luxury. Also, a 12-minute walk to a small beach (Breakwater Beach); wish there were more sidewalks, but its not very well traveled so the beach wasn't super crowded. Tides go in and out 2 miles, so lots of ankle-deep warm water filled with snails and hermit crabs to inspect! Service was top-notch; arrived a few hours early but room was already made up. Beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and regular umbrellas all by the door and ready to go. Fresh-baked goods (omg delicious lemon cookies) and a Keurig + tea options constantly available. Angelo was a gem and always so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, like seriously, some of the best pancakes ever (apple-shredded with homemade whipped cream?). The couple next to us was veg and were accommodated with veggie patties instead of bacon. Pro tip: sometimes they'll have single nights available, which they list on airbnb. I found through airbnb and then booked directly with them to avoid the fees.

Yelp
My husband and I spent our 40th anniversary weekend at the Inn and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Inn is lovely; interior and the grounds.Marco and Angelo are the nicest of people and excellent innkeepers. They spent time helping us to find the best eateries in the area , we had some great chats... We were greeted with a personalized welcome note, some champagne in our room, chocolates, homebaked goodies- made especially gluten free for me. We stayed in room 6, the Seacroft Suite. Beautifully appointed yet comfortable and welcoming.,and the innkeepers were very attentive to cleaning ,masking, gloving, social distance guidance given they were just reopening after the COVID closure. We felt so safe while continuing to radiate " Welcome" . The human warmth permeated the masks. The breakfasts were gourmet for certain and the delicious tastes and aromas were enhanced as we were served on the lovely terrace overlooking the lawn and gardens. We hope to return in the Fall. Don't hesitate to visit these lovely people and place...

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this B&B. It exceeded my expectations and then some! The house is on a large property that is beautifully kept with gardens and different areas you can sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and flowers. The building is older and as the historic, Cape Cod charm, but is immaculately kept. Every area is clean and well kept. The owners, Marco and Angelo, are outstanding. Marco was right there to welcome us when we got there and knew who we were before we even told him our names. He showed us around and brought us right to our room which was very cute and comfortable. I can't wait to go back again and spend more time there!
