All day breakfast place in downtown Cairns. Open from 6am to 2pm 7 days a week. I'm not getting up for a 6am breakfast but I went with 2 friends who were keen for breakfast at a normal lunchtime. The food was good as was the portion size. "All good" from that point of view. I didn't like the service. There were too many people serving (three) and they all kept on checking if we wanted to order or if we had any questions. Overkill. One server assigned to a table and asking the questions would have been good but all 3 were doing the same thing. The inside of the restaurant is nicely presented and invokes the name of the cafe -- Candy's. They have a few tables for outside al fresco dining, too if that's your thing.

Great little cafe in the heart of the city!! The food was pretty good and the portion sizes were great too, was quite difficult to finish the eggs Benedict! A few gluten free options and super friendly staff. I absolutely enjoyed my experience here and cannot wait to share it with my friends and family.

We had an amazing experience thanks to David’s exceptional customer service. He was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly. His attention to detail, patience, and willingness to help truly made a difference. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and attentive, and we truly appreciate the effort he put into making our experience a great one. We recommend David for his outstanding service—thank you!

I regularly eat at this cafe. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. Prices are also very reasonable especially as the portions are quite generous. The Salt n Pepper Calamari and The Moroccan Lamb salad are both delicious and full of flavour.

Lovely spot for breakfast. We ordered the 3 eggs Benedict with bacon and the Canadian pancakes both great 👌 Hubby loved the cappuccino and the ice coffee was perfect (not pictured).

Had the High Tea at the Candy Cafe and an iced coffee - everything was delicious! 10/10 must try if you’re in Cairns City.

Great Cafe. Friendly staff, and delicious food at reasonable prices. The Toby's estate coffee is done really well, and they do a great almond milk flat white. There is plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating also. There is ample street parking, but no dedicated parking. Would recommend for a good coffee or great brunch.

Yelp
Can't fault it. Lovely ham, cheese, tomato toastie. A bit overpriced at $10 though. Double shot flat white was great. A range of newspapers to read and inside or outside seating. I'd go back.

Yelp
I enjoyed a fabulous salad for lunch here today. The staff were marvellously flexible and responsive. I was able to order a blend of two salads on the menu, to match my dietary needs. That was really appreciated and the result was fantastic. Lovely fresh ingredients and beautifully presented - Green Salad with Avocado and Haloumi. I enjoyed it. The place is nice and the service is really marvellous. Although other cafes on this strip seem busier, I'm very happy I chose to eat here, it has a great vibe. Thank you.

Yelp
Cannot pick out a single fault with my experience dining at The Candy Cafe. The food was some of the best i've ever had and took next to no time to come out, the staff were helpful and friendly, the cafe was set at the perfect temperature and takeaway bags were supplied for you to take your leftovers in. Definitely recommend and will be going back. 10/10.

Yelp
Great brekky and coffee in Cairns. This place was my fave and visited every day. Awesome staff who were happy to give me advise on what nightlife to attend and was not disappointed with the food. Although the duck wasn't my best choice for brekky one day and that is my fault.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had coffee and breakfast here while staying in Cairns: I had a bowl of granola (which came with yogurt, dried fruit, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, arnica, and milk on the slide). My boyfriend had the smashed avocado and poached egg on bread. We both had iced lattes and EVERYTHING tasted great. The restaurant was clean and a town favorite. Well staffed and friendly environment.

Yelp
Simple burgers with great flavour and homemade relish. Excellent personalised service. Very welcoming!

Yelp
We are vegetarians and came in for a weeknight breakfast. We got the avocado and pumpkin toast. The bread was thick cut sourdough which was pan fried perfectly (perfectly crisp on the edges, soft on the inside). The avocado toast was delicious; poached egg was a nice touch. The real hit was the pumpkin toast though - the pumpkin mix was perfectly creamy and minimally spiced (the pumpkin flavor carried the dish, not the spices), topped with mandolin'd radishes, pepitas and perfectly pan seared halloumi and a pouched egg. We can only hope to recreate this ourselves at home. Bravo.

Yelp
Average breakfast fare with decent coffee. Lunch options look appetising. Falls short of other options in Cairns
