Incredible array of candy - literally like an explosion! So much to see and decide on what to leave with! The selection of chocolate, fudge (currently by 2lbs get 2lbs free) and taffy is outstanding... like a sugar overload. Above all, strangely enough is that the stuffed toys are all awesome - really different and fun items that I haven't seen elsewhere. Staff was nice and location was clean. Recommended.

Google
Decent selection of candy. Prices are pretty high I guess we go for the “experience” Very boring for a place so colorful and fun looking. Zombified cashier w hardly any personality or people skills. Def won’t go back. Could have done self checkout and gotten much more courteous service:)

Google
The young ladies behind the counter were AWESOME!! When my little one decided to make her great escape she took off running and ended at a dead end behind their cash register 😨 They graciously took the incident all in stride. They were really nice and eager to assist. The store itself was immaculately cleaned there were no boxes of inventory waiting to be put away. The isle were clear and easily accessible. I purchased salt water taffy and peanut butter fudge along with with toys for the escape artist. The taffy was great but the peanut butter fudge didn’t make it to the truck. It was gone on arrival. Great was an understatement!!!! I would come back just for the fudge. There are a plenty of candy kitchens in OC but I will always find this particular location to shop at. Thanks ladies!!!!

Google
When in Rehobeth, you HAVE to stop at one of the Candy Kitchen locations! You can’t go wrong with any of the treats! Plenty of parking on the coastal highway location and the staff are super friendly and efficient.

Google
So friendly and for what we paid for it was not too expensive. Definitely a great store to visit if you're on vacation.

Google
Candy was DELICIOUS. Some of the best gummy candy I’ve had in a while. Prices were very high but honestly, worth it.

Google
Always a fan of candy Kitchen! The fudge is so good and they have a big variety of candy too! There are also toys as well. Can't wait to come back!

Dylan

Google
Always has a great selection of candy and plushes! The lights may blind you for a little bit but the candy should help!

Yelp
This chain is great. We saw several stores just driving around. The fudge is yummy. There are frequent sales (BOGO or B2G2). There are nostalgia candies and newer flavors. The extreme sours were great. The prices are similar to Disney, they can charge what they want. There are cute stuffed animals and toys if you don't want to just get sugar.

Yelp
(This visit was made during the times of Covidious last month. When things return to a look of normality - your experience likely will vary.) If you've ever been to OCMD then you know of the three headed monster that has squeezed a lot of other competitors out of the way. It's The Dough Roller, Dumser's and Candy Kitchen. In particular CK as they seemingly have locations everywhere both on the boardwalk, on Coastal Highway on 50 and in Delaware. They're impossible to ignore. We come down here in the offseason when the boardwalk locations are closed and because this location is close to where we usually stay (and is open year round) this is where we stop. A few random thoughts: Compared to Shriver's on the boardwalk in OCNJ this place/chain has a few drawbacks. At Shriver's they still have open self serve candy bins where you can (with a glove on) pick whatever variety of things you want. Here that's impossible as everything is behind the counter and the fudge that is upfront in the display is not even what they're actually selling. If you want a pound of X the employee gets that from Tupperware bins on a back shelf. In terms of price the whole needing a coupon for the buy 2 pounds get one free (fudge) is silly as that deal is going on seemingly every time we're there the same as the buy two boxes of taffy and get one free "deal". Is it really a deal if it's always available? I get it that since I've never been in season things might be different but in the off season it's always available. The price per pound for a single pound is a ripoff but if you have a need for three then I suppose it's somewhat ok. In terms of taste...I don't know. I'm not really a chocolate person but to me the stuff here tastes, meh. It's decent but not outstanding and the thing that I do like (the fruit slices) are some kind of generic-o 4th party brand that are usually old, hard and stuck to the plastic wrap. In the future when we're back in town I'm sure we'll stop here again although it's mostly out of convenience and the lack of choices versus that the products are outstanding.

Yelp
This place is horribly run. My family walked in and we had 6 miserable looking teenagers just stare at us the entire time. Zero acknowledgment of our existence until about 15 minutes later when this jackass comes up as says "what do you want?" Just so dang rude! I couldn't believe it and in most cases I would have let that kid have it but my 2 little girls were excited about getting candy I didn't want to ruin the day. Every person there was doing absolutely nothing but staring at either us or just the wall in front of them. But there's more. A lady I presume was the manager came out and loudly yelled at them to get to work. They all rolled their eyes and started pretending to do things. What a joke of an establishment!!! I've been in business for 20 years and if I was the owner I would clean house and hire people that knew how to treat their customers. The candy was amazing but with the attitudes and how this place was run, I'll never go back to this horrid place.

Yelp
A wide variety of candy and sweets! You can probably every candy and sweet here. They have many locations so you can always go get candy! I ordered the chocolate covered gummy bears and a the fruit slices. Both are my favorite and go to!

Yelp
A pound of salt water taffy, 6 chocolate covered Oreos, and 2 gourmet pretzels for about $32 and the customer service was good. Friendly associate and she accommodated my special bagging request. Also was patient with me while I decided what I wanted. This location is open year round.

Yelp
Stopped in here earlier today before I left Ocean City Maryland to pick up some fudge. I'm glad I stopped in because there is a deal going on right now for buy 1 lb get 1 free. I had a coupon for buy 2 lbs get 1 free but when I went in it had a even better deal going on . So I ended up buying 2 lbs and got 2 lbs for free. The cashiers was nice and served me quick. I would go back again next year when I return to visit Ocean City again. I give the service and fudge 5 stars

Yelp
This particular Candy Kitchen had great choices of candy and cute stuffed toys. It also sells fudge. It was open until 11 pm and we were on vacation, and decided after a late dinner, to go to this Candy Kitchen. There are a few Candy Kitchens in the area. We entered the store around 9:10 pm, my receipt is timed for 9:28 pm. The staff had sour looks on their faces, didn't appear to hear my questions, so I had to ask twice, and in general were all apathetic, and it was as if they're doing the customer a favor in helping us. We were not rude nor loud nor obnoxious, just merely giving them business in buying what they had to sell. They're lucky we didn't just replace all our items and walk out. I even asked to confirm whether they were closing soon and the employee hesitated to tell me no. I couldn't get out of there fast enough with their looks and attitudes and I'm sure they were glad to see us go, but that's ok as we won't return to this particular store.

Yelp
Driving along Ocean City and all you see are bunch of gigantic pink sign that reads CANDY KITCHEN. I do love candy and this of course peaked my interest. I asked N (N's a native to Maryland) what was this place all about and N replied it's not good. *sigh* How could a place that has more than 7 stores along Coastal Highway be bad? On our last day, while T, N and C were all at the beach...I decided to drive along and check this place out. This place looked way cuter on the outside than it was in the inside. I was hoping I would find some cute things to bring back to my friends instead this place was just a lower and poorer version of Dylan's Candy. I didn't want to buy any Salt Water Taffy since 1. I personally hate them. 2. We currently already have one from Cape Code and Block Island - so no more taffy. So I thought perhaps I should look at the chocolates...the chocolate here looked old and stale. Gross. I don't want to buy something just to get something for the sake of it. This place is for suckers.

Yelp
We visited Candy Kitchen on the Ocean City, MD boardwalk in April 2017 and really enjoyed their large variety of candy. I ended up getting some cotton candy and we ended up also getting a little decorative pillow of what looked like a pink "poop" emoji. It's very silly and still sitting in our living room. There are tons of Candy Kitchen locations all across Ocean City, MD. You can't miss it!

Yelp
My daughter LOVES this place and we go every year while on vacation. There is a nice variety to choose from but very pricey. There are so many locations in Ocean City and I do feel this one is cleaner than most. The staff are not overly friendly though.

Yelp
What a joke of an establishment. Me and my sister went in to get some chocolate covered strawberries for our mom and us. We only wanted 3 strawberries and I asked how much a typical strawberry. The girl was must've been foreign because she acted like she didn't understand a word we said. She proceeded to call a guy over who said a quarter pound, i replied with "a strawberry is a quarter pound?!" And he looked at me annoyed and rudely said that I needed to buy a minimum of 1/4 pound (the strawberries aren't that large). I ended up leaving because the staff was rude and made me feel as if my business was an inconvenience to them. Will definitely not be returning.

Yelp
If I could would give a zero. Horrible and nonexistent customer service. Was there to buy candy and stuffed animals for Xmas for 5 children. Two young ladies just hide in corner no acknowledgement of my wife and I whatever. I am a customer! See ya CC never again.

Yelp
This place is sad and it upsets me. It is so hard to find good local salt water taffy and candy kitchen is trying to take those businesses over. So overpriced and you cant even make your own assortment of candy. It's like candy jail.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Rude staff that had their backs turned for most of my visit. I felt like I was imposing on their conversation when I asked to be helped. I wanted to try the rocky road fudge but was told I had to order a quarter pound of it. Now I know why I was not allowed to try it first. It was old, stale and hard as a rock. There are way to many candy shops at the beach to choose from to be given such bad service and old stale fudge. I went here because it was right across from my hotel. Next time I will get in my car and drive elsewhere.

Yelp
Oh my, i just love this store. every time i walk in it truly takes me back to my childhood! the smells of all the candy and the boxes of taffy piled high, peanut butter, chocolate, assortments, gummy bears, sour hard candies, sour gummies... you name it and this place has it.... truffles, chocolate, pretzels submerged in chocolat, large jaw breakers! I am a sucker for the salt water taffy, i love that stuff and do not have the chance to get it alot. So when i make it to the ocean this is definately a must stop for me
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty chocolates but overpriced. The kid behind the counter woke up 10 minutes beforehand it seemed.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
This place is my enemy lol. As soon as you wlak in you can smell the scent of freshly made chocolate and candies. My favorite treat is the rice krispie treat covered in chocolate and sprinkles. I wish i had bought more of those. So good They also have a make your own sundae bar that I did not try but looked delicious.

Yelp
All the bright, pastel colors certainly catch people's attention while cruisin' down the Coastal Hwy, but don't equate that with the quality of the candy. I'd rather buy my favorite Lindt Lindor truffles from the local CVS store. This is honestly just a mini Willy Wonka magical candyland playground for the kids to look around. Nothin' special

Walleye W.

Yelp
The White chocolate covered pretzels are good but the rest is just ok. It's a shame they make you place a minimum order by weight for all your bulk candy. Do yourself a favor and walk or take the tram to the South end of the boardwalk and look for a company with a green and white sign over this place
google avatar

Ryanne I.

Yelp
Incredibly overpriced. $47 for 1 total pound of candy. It was NOT even fresh. The only reason I'm giving them two stars, is because the service was quick and polite. Otherwise, I'd go to Wawa.

Yelp
Very unfriendly. Had about five people working and standing there just looking at us. We were the only ones in the store. Very disinterested in us as customers.

Janice T.

Yelp
Candycandycandy! Disappointed...I love candy and sweets stores...so is the sucker bf...but, I was let down..maybe I'm too spoiled with Edward Marc chocolatier inside the Pentagon.chocolate covered pretzels in bag tasted stale, almond crunch bar- stale, sea salt caramels (usually my favorite)-hard....bf didn't like his sour apple laces in the bag.... Was disappointed...thought I was gonna have a Dylan's experience..

Yelp
This place is so overpriced!!! My husband and I got cones. Because the one flavor my husband wanted was a bit hard, he did not receive a full dip, when asked about it the employee just looked at us and handed him the cone. We should have just left at that point. 10 bucks for 2 skimpy cones. We won't go back.

Yelp
This place was well lit, clean, and staffed by some friendly kids. The candy selection was decent and the prices didn't seem too bad to me. I just wish the taffy was made without hydrogenated oils!! Overall an A-OK experience.

Sarah L.

Yelp
There are about a million of these stores in Ocean City. If you want expensive vacation candy, this place is sufficient. A warning to parents, these stores are also full of small, overpriced plush toys on floor-level shelves. I would call it tantrum bait. If you are after salt water taffy, they have it here, but it isn't very flavorful or fresh. There were a few flavors that we could not pinpoint, and my in-laws insisted that they were not flavored. If you want good salt water taffy, I recommend Dolle's. It's on the boardwalk, and well worth the trip. Their taffy was soft and very flavorful.

Yelp
The kids love this place. There seems to be one every 500 feet. They have a wonderful selection of candy at fairly reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely bring the kids for a stop by

Steve H.

Yelp
Ordered two candies quarter pound each. Both are $4.55 for a quarter pound so one would expect $9 and change. No, $12.50; employees are told to add just a little, you can see how this adds to profit quickly and in big numbers

Katherine T.

Yelp
Waited my whole vacation to come here especially since it's the biggest candy kitchen here & was very disappointed! I understand we walked in pretty late (around 10:30ish) I asked one of the workers if my daughter (4yo) can use the bathroom she was undecided & told me she didn't know if it was cleaned so she sent me to a different girl who very rudely told me it's closed & went about her cleaning my daughter kept asking me for the bathroom when another attendant a little more pleasant said it's around the corner (she didn't know they already told me it's closed) so she tried to make an excuse for them saying "oh yea after 10:15 they close it". Everyone there was too busy doing closing procedures to even pay attention to us. I assure you this will be my very first & last time here. P.s. They are also overpriced! I rather spend my money at a more friendly place.

Kaylah C.

Yelp
There are several Candy Kitchen locations along the boardwalk, but this was the largest one we saw. Great service and variety! Their merchandise wasn't too expensive, but certainly not cheap. I was able to get several things to take home for friends and family. :)

Wendy D.

Yelp
As there are a thousand of these stores in ocean city maryland the one at 5301 Coastal Hwy is the worse. ABSOLUTEY no customer service. Walked in noone else in the store but me and abt 4 people behind the counter. Not one of them said hello to me and when i then spoke to them abt 5 mins later only 1 person spoke and the another one started laughing. I was in that store by myself with no other customers for 15 min and still not one person behing the counter still said anything and as i left still no one said anything..WOW!!!!!

Marge F.

Yelp
Very expensive. We weren't able to get a selection of fudge had to be a big piece of the flavor not at all like the Jersey Shore. And the taste was nothing to write home about

Louis M.

Yelp
I will never visit another candy kitchen again. For over seventeen years we have visited the Delaware and Maryland shore. When we leave we always stop at a candy kitchen to load up. This time an unpleasant woman scolded me because my eight year old and four year old had the audacity to request something that was against corporate policy. They wanted their own bag of candy that did not quite reach a quarter pound. Heaven forbid. I offered a solution.. Combine them and give me an empty bag and I will separate. This terrible request will apparently run the company into the ground. She made it quite clear I was going to create anarchy and perhaps the ruin of her employer. The lady behind me in line was as shocked as I was at this terrible employees response to my kids request. Shame on candy kitchen for teaching their employees that a complete lack of respect is the way to treat customers.
