Candy's Old Fashion Burgers

First time here heard they got great burgers and it’s true! Great fast friendly service and the burgers really tasty and the place is clean so are the restrooms

I have been coming out to Candy's for over twelve years now and the food never disappoints. If you have to be downtown I highly recommend this place. The food is excellent and the prices are very fair compared to other places downtown. The workers are really nice and always helpful. I know they will be moving into a new building soon near the governors mansion but that will not stop me from having their amazing food lol. My favorites are the bacon cheese burger combo and the fried chicken Cesar salad. 😋

Wow, what a setback. I ordered food for the first time here, and although the burger is small, it was tasty. I did not get the tots I clearly ordered (see pic). Disappointed. Don't tie the bag as if it's complete. It's not the consumer's job to ensure all items are in the bag. It's the restaurants responsibility. Should I trust this place to give me my food? Time will tell. Strike one.

Not your typical burger spot! I love the old school vibe this place has! This is some of the best food in the downtown area! Not very big so I don't suggest having a large group of people. Burgers aren't the only thing on the menu! They have something tasty and delicious for everyone! The chicken fried steak is one of my favorites, along with their amazing onion rings! Must try!

We were driving downtown & wanted to find a good burger. We searched restaurants, chose cuisine & picked hamburgers. Candy’s came up so we decided to try it out. As many times as I’ve driven down this street I’ve never seen this place. Parking isn’t the easiest, but what parking downtown is? The woman at the register that took our order was friendly & told us we order, go find a table & then they will bring our food out to us. Meanwhile, we enjoyed the atmosphere. They have an old radio as the cash register table, a bunch of memorabilia on the walls & 80’s tunes playing. When all the food came out we realized we ordered too much. Their basket of fries & rings are bigger than other places. We got the double cheeseburger & the Roy L Rogers burger, which was filled with much more bacon than I expected (had to be at least 6 slices of bacon on it) so I ended up sharing some of it. The burger really hit the spot! Good burgers, fresh basket of hot fries & a basket of onion rings, who could ask for a better lunch. Everything was delicious!

Menu had plenty of options including the most important(Diet Dr.Pepper) and all the employees seemed nice. Very cute place and they also had Cholula at every table!

This place is really nice, The service fast, friendly and attentive. The menu is clear and makes it simple to compose your meal. My burger was good and balanced. I have a preference over smaller but thicker patties while this was thin and spread out like in smash burgers. It was well-seasoned and the dressing was not overpowering. Fries were nice but onion rings were definitely better!

So glad Candy's moved to a bigger location at Plaza de Armas. More seating and we didn't have to wait in line on the street. Food is the same-- fried everything but seems like prices may have gone up a bit (who hasn't?). Good for the occasional burger or po'boy.
