Food was very unique. There was a salty and sweet option and both were definitely those things. I found the sweet option a bit over powering, but my husband loved the savory option. What an exceptional find Canegue Café turned out to be a full sensory experience. We were lucky to get the insider tip. The four of us sampled both the salty and the sweet options and were blown away. The flavour combinations were bold yet refined. Meeting Oliver, the mind behind it all, was a treat. He radiated passion and you taste that in every cup and plate. The coconut bullet coffee had just the right nuance and made a lasting impression. Add the unique beachfront-vibe location in El Zonte and you’ve got something truly special. Highly recommended to everyone.

Lovely little cafe and brunch spot in El Zonte. It’s a beach spot so expect sand and wood tables. Cash only. They offer one sweet and one savoury option. It’s a little more expensive than local/típico food but worth it.

The food is sooooo delicious. The views upstairs are amazing. If you come here with a friend, just order both savory and sweet and share. Highly recommend!

Awesome food, super cool people, big portions, amazing coffee, all in a beautiful location. There is nothing bad to say about this place. Great way to start your day in El Zonte!

Absolutely loved our meals here! I got the salty and my husband got the sweet — the salty was extremely good. The ingredients all paired well together, taste was top notch, and serving size was perfect. My husband said his sweet meal was good (he’s not a foodie so I’d imagine it was actually amazing). & then to our surprise there was a rooftop deck to eat on where we had an ocean view! Service was quick and they took our order right at 1 when they said they were closing which was very nice! Highly recommend! Just know that the menu changes weekly so you’ll have to come to see what they’re cooking up!

Honestly the best brunch in town. Oli the chef is so passionate and creative it make you want to go everyday! The plates are insanely flavorful and filled with hearty ingredients perfect for a pre or post surf ! 110% would recommend, you won't be disappointed.

My favorite spot to get brunch in El Zonte! Coffee and food are both fantastic and I love the rotating menu, always such a nice surprise! And I really appreciate their clean / quality ingredients (like high quality oils and butter). Oli is an awesome person both in and out of the water -- a great surfer, super friendly and does such a good job running the cafe! A must-visit spot when in El Zonte.
