I had the pleasure of dining at Canis Restaurant in Gdańsk’s Old Town, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the outset, the service was impeccable. Our waiter, Nikodem, provided thoughtful recommendations, including the weekend special, while our runner, Janek, ensured every detail was attended to with genuine care and professionalism. The atmosphere was enchanting, with live piano and singing creating an elegant, intimate backdrop that perfectly complemented the evening. We began with an appetizer of beef tartare, crowned with a delicate egg yolk and crisped beef chip, accompanied by a selection of bread, ham, and a mustard-butter spread. Each element was executed with precision, both in flavor and presentation. For the main course, I savored the Wagyu burger, rich, tender, and flawlessly prepared, showcasing the quality of ingredients and culinary expertise. The meal was beautifully paired with a glass of Marine Della Valpolicella 2019 from Italy, which enhanced the flavors and rounded out the dining experience. Every dish was a testament to meticulous attention to detail, balancing visual elegance with exquisite taste. One of the most interesting discoveries in months. A relaxed, yet tasteful and cosy environment. Waiters 100 out of 10, I sat there and couldn't get enough of how pleasant and helpful they were, information, recommendations. Menus and knowledge of wine is commendable. Food - I liked everything I tasted. It's definitely a very worthwhile place to visit. I will be back many times myself. Good luck to the whole team!

Excellent food, wine and especially service which was truely professional on every level yet entertaining , generous and warm. The prices are high by Polish standards but you can be sure that you will get your moneys worth... The exception perhaps being the wagu steaks which , as one would expect you'd have to sell a kidney to afford. None the less the Polish sirloin and the venison steaks were great... the added treat of the various bowls of side dishes ( the fries are to die for) was a lot of fun and each was delicious. When our excellent waiter Nick offered to shave some fresh truffle on the steaks ( on the house!) we of course accepted happily... Very good gin and tonics made from a local producer were a nice way to start off the meal and our Rioja , though spendy was nicely decanted and very drinkable. I can't imagine a better meal in Gdansk.

Fantastic spot with great food and huge wine selection. Service was really amazing! Waiter actually spoke to us about metal music and what concerts are coming up in Poland. The Canis starter platter was great with some swordfish ceviche, vine leaves with beyond meat which were so good, and some other tasty tidbits. For main my wife had a salad which was ok but lettuce was a little soggy and missing that crunch. My tenderloin was perfectly cooked and our friends halibut was really amazing. Had a whole bottle of nebbiollo wine which was super nice and light. Passed on dessert this time since we were stuffed but would love to visit again. Highly recommend for a night out with friends.

Everything was super tasty and interesting! Service was great, very professional and explanatory. Nice live music from 7pm onwards. A pleasant experience. Highly recommend. Kudos to the employees and employers.

Beautiful place with a great ambiance and excellent service. We were served by a young man named Tobias, who was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. A truly enjoyable experience!

A night to remember: wonderful welcome from the staff, helpful recommendations for food and wine (extensive selection for all budgets) absolutely delicious vegan dumplings. Fantastic party atmosphere that all the diners present joined in with. Not to be missed. 🥰🥳

We had our wedding dinner and celebration at CANIS Restaurant, and everything was simply phenomenal! The food was outstanding – every dish was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Even with 77 guests, the kitchen managed everything flawlessly. Our guests are still talking about the duck — soft as butter and absolutely delicious! We couldn’t be happier. The atmosphere, food, and service were all top-notch. I highly recommend CANIS to anyone looking for a place with exceptional cuisine and a truly wonderful team.
