Amazing exhibition space! I went to see the Nick Brandt Exhibition late one afternoon and the place was deserted but still an impressive building. (The exhibition was good too - if you are in Ljubljana before it ends in September, go and have a look)

Opened in 1980, this is Slovenia’s largest cultural and arts centre, serving as a key venue for performing arts, exhibitions, film, literature, academic events, and international conferences. It stands as one of Ljubljana’s foremost hubs of culture and intellectual life. The centre is named after Ivan Cankar, Slovenia’s national writer and prominent public intellectual. Major national ensembles—including the Slovenian National Theatre, the Philharmonic, and the Ballet—frequently perform here. It also hosts high-profile international events such as the Ljubljana International Film Festival (LIFFe), literary festivals, academic symposia, and EU-level political gatherings.

We had the chance to see 'the day may break' exposition by Nick Brandt. Very though-provoking. And afterwards, attend a jazz concert the last day of Ljubljanas jazz festival. Great!! Lovely and very kind receptionist

We had a very beautiful evening here with the Fotona family celebrating its 60th anniversary. Surprised to have witnessed the Slovenian president giving speech at this special occasion. A very unforgettable memory!

Cultural congress and performance centre. There is reach music and art programme. Worth to go and visit performances! Buy the tickets on line or next to the entrance door. Nice place to drink tea or sampaign.

Very good venue, clean facilities and underground parking in the immediate vicinity. Although it’s a bit pricey it comes handy in case of bad weather. Went to see the show, organised well. Comfortable seats and good atmosphere. There’s a bar outside to refresh yourself in the breaks.
