Canmore Downtown Hostel

This hostel is probably the nicest & newest facility I’ve ever stayed in. Very impressed with the cleanliness. I stayed in an all female dorm with bathroom & shower. The hostel is in a shopping center & convenient food options & right next to a bus stop. The busses are free around Canmore as well! My only concern was another female in the dorm’s lack of consideration. She took a shower for nearly an hour around 5am when the rest of us were trying to get our day started. Gotta be considerate when staying in a shared living space!

I stayed here for CAD 73 per night per person, and while it is on the higher side for a hostel, the quality definitely matched the price. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the overall standard of the place attracted guests who respected the space and atmosphere. The dorms were well set up with curtains on all beds for privacy and large lockable cupboards for storage, though you need to bring your own lock. Fresh linen and towels were provided, but guests are expected to make their own beds and return everything to a washing bin at checkout. The kitchen was one of the best I’ve seen in a hostel—fully equipped with multiple sinks, a large fridge, plenty of appliances, and even an air fryer. Bathrooms were unisex but always available, very clean, and had consistently hot showers. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the common room was spacious with lots of seating, making it easy to relax or socialize. Free parking was available outside, and the Wi-Fi worked without issues. Overall, this hostel was a great experience, and I would absolutely stay here again. The higher nightly rate was well worth it for the comfort and quality provided.

Great Hostel! It was a bit overpriced in summer like all the other hostels here in Canada, but overall, it was a great place to stay. The kitchen had everything you needed and clean. There are privacy curtains for each bed, which is amazing. The communal area is super nice with lots of light, lots of plugs to charge electronics, seats, and beautiful views of the mountains.

The hostel is in a fab location. It's surrounded by stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. The rooms are great and very clean. The beds are really comfortable. Toilets and kitchen areas are spotless and really clean. The showers have hot water and are powerful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Thank you Canmore downtown Hostel for a great stay!

Perfect spot for budget travelers heading to Banff! While it’s about an hour from Banff, the location in Canmore is both central and unique. The dorms are very clean, with fresh sheets and pillow covers provided for each guest. The hostel also offers a well-equipped common kitchen and a recreational area with plenty of board games. Guests here are respectful, making it a comfortable stay. Bathrooms are spotless and well maintained. Overall, an excellent choice for solo travelers or anyone on a budget.

Outstanding stay at a very well-kept hostel. Very clean and had a great atmosphere overall. Extremely helpful staff. Did not get a name of the staff on reception midday Saturday 23rd August but she did a great job!

The hostel is strategically located in the town of Canmore. The unit I was at has a wide window, giving a good view of the mountain and the town center activity. It is also close to a bus stop and surrounded by business establishment. Free parking as well. Now, for the unit, it is very clean with it's own bathroom and shower. The bed is wide and comfortable. The closet is big enough to store a luggage. The kitchen is clean with plenty of appliances to use if more people are using it. My impression is that this is a well-thought plan, very organized and the management care for the comfort of the guests. I will gladly stay again here in the nearest future.

Great hostel. Neat. Clean. Comfortable beddings. Other guests are considerate. Only thing to note is that most people (including us) started their day early. So you will have people moving around closing doors, openning bags and using toilets from about 6:30am. Bus stop right next door.
