Canna Campsite

The location of the campsite is amazing. You're free to pick a spot to camp, whether that's inside the fence or outside of it. We chose to stay on top of a nearby hill, with a magnificent view of Canna and Sanday. There are (clean) toilets and showers at the campsite, plus a cooking shack with a gas stove, pans, plates and cutlery, mugs, an honesty box, and a water tap. It also has a timetable for the ferry, plus a handy map of the island. Isebail picked up our luggage at the pier, which meant we could leisurely walk to the campsite after arrival — a nice walk past the community shop, the cafe, Canna House, etc. She brought us breakfast (ordered separately) on the last day and went out of her way to make sure it was vegan, with fresh fruit and a bottle of oat milk. After that she also took our luggage back to the pier, which meant a lovely, easy walk for us again.

We stayed in the cabin which is one of the most picturesque and unique locations. The host was wonderful. I’d recommend some supplies for the first night and asking for the breakfast basket every day… if only for the granola which is world leading!

Had a fantastic time in the puffin pod complemented with lovely views. We had a nice breakfast basket, the facilities were nice and the location was perfect. The cook shack was also a nice addition and well supplied. Highly recommend!

I had an incredible experience staying at this campsite with my two daughters in July. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay, from exploring the beautiful surroundings to relaxing in the comfort of our camping pods. The campsite facilities were excellent, providing us with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable camping trip. The hot shower was a real treat, especially after a day of exploring the outdoors. We stayed in one of their charming camping pods, which exceeded our expectations. The pods were well-equipped with modern amenities, including comfortable beds that ensured a good night's sleep. The thoughtful inclusion of a gas burner and an abundance of pots and pans in the cook shed made meal preparation a breeze. What stood out for us was the campsite's dog-friendly atmosphere. We were able to bring our furry companion along and explore the many scenic walking trails nearby. The proximity to the beach was another highlight. The beach with its beautiful white sands left an unforgettable impression on us. We also enjoyed exploring the rocky shoreline with its hidden coves. Overall, this campsite provided the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and natural beauty. It truly made our holiday one we will not forget. We highly recommend this campsite to anyone seeking a serene escape surrounded by breathtaking views and the soothing sound of the ocean. We can't wait to return to this haven of tranquility.

Wonderful two nights stay in the puffin pod! Clean and comfy bed(with the additional option of duvet and pillow), well maintained toilet and nice hot shower in the campsite! Oh, did I forget to mention that view:D Wished I could have stayed for longer!

I stayed in the caravan on Sanday for a couple of nights and Ishibel transported my large bag to and from the ferry. The caravan is warm and cosy and had everything I needed. The breakfast basket is the perfect start to the day before exploring the islands. |This is the second time I have stayed here and there will be a third! |

The view is fabulous, the pods are comfortable,the kitchen is well equiped as the bathroom. Wifi is also good at the common house. You should enjoy your trip there.
