Great food! If I ever have a chance to eat the jambalaya again, I will absolutely do it. Great service and good gluten-free options. And the house wine was great also.

Risotto needed more rice but it was very yummy. Definitely an entree on its own and not a side. Wedding soup and bread were delicious! Portions are very big.

Food: Freshly made and fantastic flavors! I was going to order Shrimp Scampi but the staff sold me the Linguini Jambalaya and the spicy sauce is just amazing! Stuffed mushroom is juicy and tasty. Service: our server is a Mexican lady and she was super nice. Her colleague forgot our stuffed mushroom order so our entree was ready but she still came and informed us in time. Very warm and welcoming. Recommend getting reservations ahead cuz they are popular and busy! Ambiance: cheerfully elegant. Very suitable for a light date, family/friend gathering or a day to celebrate with good food and vibe!

It was only by luck that my family and I stopped in on the way to Idyllwild and we were NOT disappointed. Carb overload with knots and cheesy bread for appetizers and don’t get me started on their Wedding Soup. The baked ziti, chicken Alfredo, and pizza were also delicious. We’ll be going back one more time before we head back home to Sacramento. Do not sleep on this place!

Nice Italian place with a good variety menu featuring many traditional dishes. We were there with a group of 8 on a busy night but the staff was amazing despite the crowd and made us fee at home and never rushed. The place is small so get reservations on popular nights!

I asked for a table for 2. We get taken to a booth at the back section of the booths. Restaurant is not crowded at all, I think it was around 4:00 p.m. today. I tell the guy I prefer a table, than a booth. He tells me that there's no table available for two people. I look towards the back room and the table is available. I tell him never mind and we turn around to leave. He says, "oh I do have a table available." To late, we are leaving. You guys aren't the only Italian restaurant. We have been going there for years. They have really good Wedding Soup, but we will no longer be going there. I know there is an Italian restaurant on Mountain in Upland, we will go try it out.

The family and I stumbled upon this restaurant while in the neighborhood. We arrived just before the dinner rush. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. I requested a table with chairs, but all were reserved. I told the hostess that we would like to try the booth for comfortability. The hostess was very nice and pointed us to a very comfy booth that would accommodate us just fine. Our server was also very nice and attentive. We started with the Calamari and Bread Knots. My hubby ordered Sampler Platter with Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Fettuccine Alfredo. The kids had Shrimp Alfredo and the kids' spaghetti. I had the Lasagna. All entrees had generous servings. We all had leftovers. Everything was delicious, and everyone was happy and full.

Excellent food. Even more excellent service and atmosphere. This family owned Italian restaurant has it all! They are extremely accommodating and kind, ensuring you truly enjoy your experience. Above all, they have some very tasty food! We truly enjoyed our pastas, and especially the bruschetta and mashed potatoes! The serving sizes are large, which will fill you up. Very fair pricing as well! This is our new spot to go for Italian food and 100% recommend it to everyone!

Yelp
I absolutely love Cannataros. For many years, it's been a local favorite family owned Italian place. Great food, but please know it's not a pretentious place. If you're a dandy gentrified nouveau riche kinda person who swears by Eataly or North Italian.... Then Cannataros isn't for you. Whether lunch or dinner, you can sit down, have great no-nonsense Italian with fast attentive service at a great price even during inflationary times! If it isn't already, Cannataro's should be one of your favorites in the Chino and surrounding areas.

Yelp
The food presentation was honestly nice everything looked really good when it came out. But sadly the taste didn't match the visuals. We ordered the Little Italy pizza which was super cheesy and loaded with tomatoes but not much flavor beyond that. The Linguini Pescatore was the biggest letdown. It was bland with zero seasoning. I actually had to go home and add salt, pepper, and tomato sauce just to make it edible. They did give complimentary garlic bread and wedding soup, which was a nice gesture, but the soup was way too salty. I don't mind paying more especially being in Chino. But if the food is going to be on the pricier side, it should at least taste good. Overall everything looked better than it tasted. I don't think I will come back again as there are more better Italian restaurants that are good !

Yelp
We came here a few nights ago for dinner. The server lady was very nice. This restaurant is always clean and the artwork is pretty. The food was excellent. We ate a lot of stuff. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it came with a house salad. My daughter ordered baked ziti and it was smack a lacking. It came with a pasta fagioli. My daughter has like this soup ever since she was younger. We did order bruschetta as an appetizer and we also got free bread, so we hit bread Heaven tonight. We also had jalapeno potato wedges. Everything tasted really good. We can't wait to go back again as they have many choices on the menu.

Yelp
Our favorite little Italian spot! Low key family style environment with a homely feel! The food consistent per usual and very tasty! This is my wife and mother in laws favorite spot when in Chino! Service is there. You never have to wait but it isn't lightning either! If u have time to sit and enjoy a moment with ur party this is a cool fresh kitchen that will make ur tummy happy so u don't leave hungry! Portions are very good. We always plan on asking for a box! Thank u for a great Sunday Supper! See u soon!

Yelp
Open only 20 years? How can that be? I feel like we've been coming here forever. And it never fails us. Tonight's meal was superb. As always, I tend to lean towards their Chicken Marsala, but tonight's was by far the best I've ever eaten anywhere. They accommodated me by switching the pasta side for sauteed spinach. Definitely do this! It's unbelievably heavenly. I do believe the portion sizes were even bigger than I remember, too. Enough leftovers to have at least one more meal. Mr. B's Clam Linguini is his go-to dish here. There are so many chopped clams in a beautiful sauce. You can't go wrong. And then there is the buttery toasted garlic bread. Crunchy crust , soft in the middle. A complete temptation, and by far the best for sopping up that amazing Marsala sauce. Our entire family swears by Cannataros. Beautiful food, superb service, delightful ambiance, great nostalgic music playing softly in the background. Thank you for giving us such consistent, wonderful memories!

Yelp
Stopped by for some late dinner with my husband. Stuffed mushrooms as the appetizer. Delicious! We got complimentary garlic bread, very buttery. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza in medium for the both of us but it was a lot. I should have ordered the small. The pizza was so good! I can't wait to come back and try their other pizzas. My husband ordered the carnivore pasta and it came with a soup. He picked the chili and it was hearty good! Overall my experience was great. The servers were fast and patient :)

Yelp
Love the food and service. Way much better than any other franchise restaurants. This is a real Italian restaurant. You must have the tiramisu.

Yelp
This was The second time that I went to Cannataro's restaurant... The first time i wasthere was a very good experience. It was very delicious. The second time I was craving for calamari So I ordered Appetizer medley which was calamari and mozzarella sticks .... so so so disappointed with the calamari. It was so overcooked crunchy like eating CHICHARON... I don't know what happened to that. It was an Italian restaurant and I know Italians know how to cook their calamari .... to the owner of the restaurant please try your Calamari and you will know what I'm talking about ....Way way overcooked
google avatar

Yelp
Creamy, rich, and just the right amount of garlicky the fettuccine Alfredo was comfort food at its best. The sauce wasn't too heavy, and the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. I added grilled chicken, which was juicy and well seasoned. Cozy vibe inside, and they didn't rush us even though it got a bit busy.

Yelp
I'd never been to the physical restaurant before but ordered delivery from there several times. The place is warm and cozy. There are lots of booths which I love. Seems like it's been there such a long time. It's in a small strip mall and there was adequate parking. We were quoted a wait of 15 min but we were seated as soon as a table became available. Our server was reserved and forgot a couple of things. She offered red or white sauce for our calamari and I told her I wanted both. She didn't bring both out and when I asked her for the white sauce, it took a while. Not to mention, she charged me for it but didn't tell me there would be an additional charge. The food. Wow!! The house bread is so flavorful and buttery!! We ordered calamari, garlic knots, salmon Alfredo and carbonate. All of it was so so so yummy! The pasta is al dente and the sauce so delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly! One of my favorite spots for Italian. I'll definitely be back and may even be tempted to try something new rather than just getting my original order.

Yelp
Another great dinner at Cannataro's! I tried the wedding soup for the first time and it was delicious!! It was cozy, comforting, and full of flavor--perfect start to the meal. I also had the chicken piccata and absolutely loved it! Tender chicken, creamy lemon wine sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. Great service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. A local gem!

Yelp
I was told that Cannataro's took requests for pizzas so I wanted to see how close they could approximate a New Haven-style White Clam Pie. The answer? Pretty damn close. The clams were of a good size and they practically put heaps of it on the pie, The olive oil served as a perfect light sauce. I could taste the romano and red pepper. I think the only big detour was the crust. The typical apizza is much thinner, but still a bit chewy. This was chewy, but almost overly so for a white clam pizza. But damn it was 80-85% there. It would be unfair to request them to revolutionize their crust just for one specialty request, but if they did, they'd be right there as some of the best pies of the style. Big props to the place for even indulging my off-book ask. I have nothing but respect that is even willing to go that extra mile for a customer. It's definitely raised their status in my book for doing that for me. The butter cake was a good capper too. It was the perfect size--light and sweet enough without being overbearing. I loved it.

Yelp
This place holds a special place in my heart as it was my first date spot with my now wife. Everytime we go we are able to try something new that we enjoy, but we also stick to some things that are consistently good. Their hot sausage add one to any pasta dish is to die for. We also enjoy their stuffed mushrooms as well as the wedding soup option that comes with the meal. If you order out, ordering directly from the restaurant you get the soup or salad that you would not get ordering from a third party delivery place. The staff is always kind despite always being really busy. I am so glad they are opened on Sundays now as we use to crave coming here on Sundays only to find out it was closed. Definitely a nice budget mom and pop Italian Restaurant that I recommend to family and friends.

Yelp
A lovely and cozy Italian spot! Was home visiting for the weekend and we happened upon this place thanks to Yelp! PARKING: Plenty of space in this small plaza off the freeway. AMBIANCE: It's a cute restaurant with booths and tables. There were a few large parties so that's nice they can accommodate that. It has a small area for waiting inside so it can get a bit crowded but otherwise cozy Italian is the vibe. FOOD: We ordered the calamari and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. Calamari was light and crispy with marinara sauce and overall a solid dish. The mushrooms were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. It was stuffed with meat so a little heavier than what I anticipated. I ordered the Rigatoni which was so good. Creamy sauce with a good helping of sausage and spinach. It was a pretty large portion too. My family ordered the Pomodoro with shrimp which was light and flavourful especially with the tomatoes. We love a good tomato moment. We also had the Linguini Pescatore which was very good. The seafood was cooked well and generous, and the sauce was so tasty. All the pastas were cooked well, nothing overcooked. Come hungry because the pastas came with your choice of soup or salad and they gave us garlic bread. SERVICE: We got our food SO quickly. Speedy service. Attentive waitress who refilled my drink and checked in on us a couple times throughout the dinner. No helicopter servers here. Really friendly overall. OVERALL: What a SOLID Italian spot with large portions and delicious food. Definitely coming back for more but I have to finish all my leftovers first.

Yelp
Tasty Italian food. But it took forever to get our drink orders in after sitting down, and the food did take a while, longer than usual. But the pepperoni pizza was the highlight. Their meat sauce spaghetti is average... I've had better. Their garlic bread was decent.

Yelp
I've been here 3 times & each time I've been here it's amazing! Everything is fantastic!. I've ordered something different each time, & it was all great. The service is also great! The waitresses are kind, very friendly, & attentive! The restaurant itself self has a very Italian & romantic ambiance! Super cute for your next date night! The picture we uploaded everything was gone. We totally forgot to take a picture!

Yelp
Such a great local family owned Italian spot! Who doesn't love carb galore? Service is amazing, very relaxing and perfect for a romantic date night. They unfortunately need to train their staff to pack to-go orders better. We've order to-go twice and both times something happened. Our first take out order we had a large order and had 4 soups. They stacked all the soups on top of one another, by the time we got home one of the lids cracked and the entire bag was filled with soup. Luckily the bag seams weren't coming apart otherwise we would have a puddle of soup in the car. Stuffed Mushrooms- amazing, broiled to perfection giving the cheese a crisp layer. Linguine Carbonara- hands down the best I've ever had and I don't like bacon. I love that they add mushrooms and they're cooked just right. Chicken wasn't dry.

Yelp
My only complaint is that I live over two hours from this place. The food is incredible it is exactly what I think of when I think old school Italian American. The service team were super friendly and polite the ambiance was perfect for the meal experience. If this were closer I would definitely be a regular. Good food, service and prices

Yelp
My wife and I decided on Italian cuisine tonight for dinner. Cannataros is one of our go to hot spots. The food is consistently great, the service is great and the ambiance is family friendly...makes you feel like you're being treated to a home style Italian family meal. If you're in the area and would like to try some great Italian cuisine, please consider trying Cannataros. They're also known for their delicious pizzas too!

Yelp
We ordered a few trays for my daughter's birthday party.. we had the regular lasagna, veggie lasagna, and the antipasto salad. If you love lots of cheese, go for the regular lasagna.. I tend to pig out so I served a large plate and a separate plate of the antipasto with some ranch dressing.. it was so filling I needed a nap afterwards lol.. so glad there were leftovers! The veggie lasagna has tons of vegetables.. yea that was good too.. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
We were greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. The ambiance is warm and cozy. Soft lighting and lots of booths and tables throughout. Our server checked on us frequently and was efficiently friendly. Complimentary bread was tasty with lots of butter just how I like it! We started with the appetizer sampler which probably could have been a meal by itself (huge). Ordered a bottle of chianti that wasn't listed on the menu and we enjoyed it especially given the great price ($32). My wife had the eggplant Parmesan and I ordered the spaghetti carnivore. Each entree came with a soup or salad so we got one of each. The pasta fagioli soup was nice. Would order it again. My wife's dish was pretty good, but having just made the same dish recently, I am pretty sure they skipped the step of salting the eggplant for at least 1.5hrs. This draws the moisture out and softens the eggplant flavor a bit. It was still good, just not what my wife was expecting. The spaghetti was decent. I thought the sauce was going to be more meaty but it seemed more like a regular tomato sauce to me. Portions were huge so you will definitely leave feeling satiated. We enjoyed our experience overall, but temper your expectations and don't expect authentic Italian fare and your score will probably be closer to 5 stars.

Yelp
I recommend this restaurant really good food and service. Good pastas, pizzas and appetizers.

Yelp
I always come here with my husband and family and today I got pasta and wedding soup and I found this in my soup almost chocked

Yelp
The food is delicious. Service is great. Ambiance is nice. Music playing is refreshing & relaxing. The prices are reasonable beyond our surprise for such a great meal. My husband and I have come here three times. They never disappoint. A must try.

Yelp
Food excellent lasagna the best, sorry Ruth but my lasagna had plenty of meat. Service excellent, very intentive. Ambiance exceptional, low lit lighting, lite music in the background.

Yelp
Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I was so excited to try this place on a diet cheat day. You would think everything is great if you are starving... Starter: The eggplant starter was good, but did not have parsley as pictured and barely any parm cheese. Thank goodness they have some on the table. The marinara sauce tastes like the paste has not been cooked out correctly. It seems like a doctored-up canned sauce. We had to ask our server for bread. Everybody else around us got bread served right away with their drinks. He brought drinks, then our starter, and then then soup and salad, but still no bread. When we asked for some, he responded, "Oh, you want bread?" I don't know why, but he brought us chopped up pieces of bread. When we asked for seconds, from another server, we got normal pieces like those of other people around us. The minestrone soup tasted like canned tomato soup with added enhancements. Not good at all. It reminded me of hospital cafeteria soup. My husband ordered lasagne. Barely any cheese and it was barely melted and pale. Not an attractive dish at all. The temp was really suffering. The linguine with clam sauce tasted like canned clams -- almost like a canned tuna consistency -- and there was no garlic flavor or fragrant scent at all. The wine flavor was absent. My fault for not asking if they use fresh clams or not. The sauce was gummy too. I asked our server for a side of sauteed garlic in hopes of giving it some flavor, and he came back with flavorless minced jarred garlic that had been barely heated in oil. HOW CAN YOU be an Italian restaurant and not use real garlic cloves? That alone makes a dish stand out. I should have know that we should leave when I did not smell that familiar aroma. This is a really cute place and the people working there are super nice, but the cooking is not very good at all. I wonder when the last time was that the owner tried the food being served. I'm positive they would not like being served chopped up bread and flavorless lukewarm food.
google avatar

Casey I.

Yelp
I went for a party, so we sat in the back of the restaurant. The waiter was nice and polite. The price was fair. The food portion was decent. The sauce was a little too rich and heavy. I felt a little sick with the richness and oiliness of the sauce. I didn't like the sausage, it was grainy tasting.
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Good sign when you show up on a Tuesday night and it's busy. Ordered their Strawberry margarita which was light and delicious. The Pasta e fagioli may be a bit salty for some but I found it tasty and ate it all up. I really enjoyed the Linguine Pescatore and substituted out the marinara for a light garlic butter sauce. The sauce was delicious and the seafood was cooked perfectly. Service was fantastic. Definitely recommend this spot when you're craving Italian food.

Yelp
1st time here and very Impressed. Very short wait time for a Friday night. Cozy comfortable mom and pop feel inside. My family went a little overboard ordering way more than we could possibly eat in one sitting. The menu was so amazing it was difficult not to try it all. Everything was delicious service was fast and friendly. Prices are more than reasonable with nice portions. We will definitely come back and try the entire menu.

Yelp
Just ordered from Uber Eats ... almost $100 later, we get cold slop! Chicken Marsala soup and Gnocchi mush in watery something! Disgusting! So mad!!! Don't go to or order from this restaurant! Awful!!

Yelp
We were in the area and looking for a nice place for a late lunch. We came in and there were some patrons waiting for to go orders. It took a little longer than expected to be seated even though there appeared to be plenty of tables available. Once seated our server took our drink and appetizer order and a few minutes later brought our warm buttery garlic bread. We had the mushrooms which were very good but different than what we've had before. My partner had the lasagna which was really delicious. I had the chicken and vegetable salad. It was different but good. Overall, we found the food was decent. The service was great and staff was friendly. It's out of our way so I don't think we would return unless we are in the area again.

Yelp
We had the strangest experience on Thursday, May 22 at 3 pm. I arrived about 5-10 minutes before my friend and I was seated at a booth near the front area. Our waiter asked for my drink order and I only had water due to being on a strong antibiotic so no alcohol. My friend arrived and within 2 minutes of her sitting down the waiter was asking for our meal order. I asked if there were any specials and he said no. I asked about happy hour specials and at first he said no and then said oh 50% off of appetizers. I ordered two appetizers and my friend had a pasta dish. We were visiting and the restaurant was not busy and there were no people waiting to be seated. We paid our bill and continued to visit. We had not even been there 2 hours but the waiter came up and asked us to leave as they needed the booth. We were floored. It wasn't like there were no other booths available. It was so disappointing as my friend loves the place but after that she said she is never going back there as what they did was so unprofessional and disrespectful.

Yelp
It's been many years since I first reviewed this establishment. After Covid, I have dined here a couple of times and the service was good as well as the food. My husband and I really enjoy the pasta and usually order take out. I want to update my review because the food is delicious and the service has improved tremendously since my previous review.

Yelp
Good food, really enjoyed their Berry Salad and Chicken Picatta. Yummy garlic bread!! Very nice and friendly staff . Highly recommended.

Yelp
The food wasn't amazing but it was good. The service was awesome! The prices were reasonable and the menu was large. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Absolutely worst server I've ever had. The old lady w the blonde hair definitely needs to be taught a lesson. Came here for a celebratory lunch for passing my exam. Waitress talked to the table next to us for 5+ minutes while we were ready. Talked to us in a very condescending tone and fast pace, making it hard to understand. Never once said thank you or anything nice. Brought out our soup and almost spilled, just said "Oops" and then dropped it on our table and left. Basically just dropped the basket of bread as well without saying a word. All while talking all happy to the table of white people right next to us. I'm not one to make assumptions, but did feel racially profiled for doing absolutely nothing. Will never be coming back and would not recommend that server to anyone. This is my first 1 star review on this app, sucks because the other employees at the restaurant were nice, but all it takes is one person to ruin the reputation of a restaurant!

Yelp
No complaints at all. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Cute atmosphere even for kids. The soup was deeelish and the garlic bread was yummy.

Yelp
Update: Well today I found out that thanks to a glitch in the GrubHub system on this restaurants end, the pricing was wrong. They called me and told me. Which not only left my friends party without food. But took over an hour of my day to resolve with this restaurant and GrubHub. At least I get a refund.. at least that's what I've been told by GrubHub. So an update to my review they charge between $1 and $3.50 per topping. Over their $17.99 build your own pizza pricing. I was told that the pizza I ordered before would be $70 per Pizza. Not including tax or other fees on GrubHub. Do not order from GrubHub. Let's face it times have changed. Getting what you pay for is getting harder and harder. Most places give you the least amount they can get away with. This is definitely not one of those places This is the place where they say build your own and give you a ton of toppings to choose from and allow you to put as many on as you want for the same price. No per topping cost like the rest. Unfortunately, the pictures don't show how large this pizza is and there's no way for me to show you how heavy it is. But I chose to have almost every topping put on and they added everyone of my choices. Mushroom, onion, black olive, green pepper, sun dried tomato, fresh garlic, artichoke hearts, pineapple, fresh spinach, pepperoni, Italian, sausage, hot sausage, capicola, pastrami, canadian bacon and homemade meatball. Plus cheese. On a thick crust. Maybe not something everyone would like, but I know every time I get to order a pizza like this. It makes me feel like a King. And an Extra Large pizza for $17.99 with that many toppings. By far the best deal I've ever found and quickly became my Favorite pizza place and they deliver to your house. If you're an Amazon prime member go to your GrubHub they have specials sometimes where they give you money off helps you with the price . But honestly, worth every dime. Tastes even better than it looks. Feed yourself for a few days or feed your entire family either way you'll be happy you ordered from here. I know every time I have.. I am. Highly recommended

Yelp
Food ,ambience and servíce was excellent! I had spaghetti with meat balls is was amazing. My husband had carbonara pasta it was also so good. I also love love the soups. Tiramisu is the best tiramisu I've ever had, a must try for dessert. Prices are fair. You won't be disappointed. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Yelp
This is not our first time here so that's why we keep coming back. Always impressed with the great friendly service and good food. Just walking into the restaurant the smells reminds me of Italy. They have great lunch specials and have fast service. Will be back again

Yelp
I hate to leave a bad review but twice I've ordered for delivery and both times the food just wasn't good. The food quality is bad, especially for what they're charging. We just recently ordered to give this place a second chance, I ordered the Italian wedding soup and the grilled chicken and vegetable salad. Husband ordered lemon chicken with pasta and a side of the sausage. My soup was ice cold. It's like they just poured the refrigerated soup into a container without heating it up and sent it off. So I microwaved it. There were huge chunks of chicken breast in it, I've never had Italian wedding soup with chicken. There were 2 tiny meatballs. There was zero flavor, it tasted like water. The salad was weird. It was a bed of lettuce, and frozen veggies that were obviously microwaved (so soggy) with a ton of mozzarella cheese thrown on top. The chicken did have decent flavor though. Husband said his food was alright, just not worth the price. The first time we ordered I got the spaghetti, and it just tasted like jarred sauce on pasta. I just don't think it's worth the money and not worth a third try.

Yelp
My family and I have come here several times and service was always good. Today, however, service is awful and pizza was horrible! First, waitlist said 5 minutes, but we waited 35 minutes to be seated. Second, after getting a table, we were ignored. The people who came after us were greeted and orders taken. Then, our server got our drinks wrong and the plates were dirty and greasy. Finally, when our pizza arrived, the crust in the center was burnt. Inedible!

Yelp
Perfect ambiance! Perfect dining experience! Great Service! Authentic Italian cooking! I would recommend this Hidden Gem of Chino! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The best Italian. Calzones are fantastic, anything with their sausage is good. Amazing garlic knots and Alfredo too. I've taken many people here and no complaints.

Yelp
Pretty good food with decent sized portions. Went for wife's dinner and they did not ddisappoint.
