We had an amazing day at Canyon de la Vieja! Our adventure included horseback riding, tubing down the Colorado River, ziplining, and finishing it all off with a relaxing soak in the hot springs. Our guides, Alex and his friend, were incredibly friendly and hardworking. They went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and having fun—helping us whenever we got stuck tubing, making sure we got on and off the horses safely, and keeping everything smooth during ziplining. One unforgettable moment was when a European tourist lost both her and her son’s phones in the river after their waterproof case snapped off. Alex didn’t hesitate—he spent a great deal of time searching the river until he found it. The joy on everyone’s faces when he returned with the phones was priceless, and it showed how much he genuinely cared. The tubing and ziplining through the canyon were absolutely exhilarating, and ending the day with a swim in the hot springs was the perfect way to relax. Highly recommend this tour—it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Exactly what you would expect from a hotel in the Costa Rican rainforest. The pool, pool bar, and restaurant were all well maintained. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We were here on a student tour so it was very crowded with students. The buffet dinners were surprisingly very tasty and breakfast had a nice view of the river. The AC units worked very well and bathroom/shower was decent for this type of hotel stay. Don't expect luxury, but it was a nice place to stay for a few days on tour.

Was a welcome change from the hotel that ChatGPT referred is to originally which was an hour and forty minutes from where we wanted to be. Everything was easily accessible located between Liberia and Rincon de La Vieja (only -15 minutes from the park). Also located on a beautiful river where you can dive off cliffs into the river. Food was good and the buffet was amazing.

It is in a stunning jungle forest with hot springs, spa, pool and bar, restaurants, tubing, zip lining and horseback riding, with breakfast included. The staff ensured the safety of everyone and we had a fantastic time! This lodge is perfectly located close to the Liberia airport. I look forward to returning!

We only took advantage of the white-water rafting, and had a great time! We went in 2-person inflatable kayaks (the guide and guest). We went during low water season, but it was still loads of fun. Our guides were very nice and accommodating. The tour normally lasts 1.5 hours and very scenic. We stopped at a swimming hole with a rope swing which was refreshing. If you don’t want to raft, there is also a tubing option that covers much of the same route. There is horseback riding and zip lining that goes through the canyon over the river. Afterwards we had a good buffet-style lunch with healthy options. There are accommodations, but I can’t comment on those.

The cabins are cute and clean. I don't really care about the furnishings as long as they are comfortable. They were. Cleanliness is the most important thing to me and these cabins were clean!! | |I enjoyed sitting on my little porch listening to the birds. It is a very peaceful setting. I did go horseback riding. That ride was about 1.5 hours. It was a gorgeous ride. I also took advantage of the pool which was well maintained. ||The manager and staff were extremely helpful as I was in need of medical attention. The maids helped me calm down and contacted the front office for assistance. This was inspite of a languge barrier. They took care of me until I was transported to a local hospital. I cannot say enough about the staff. I am impressed and if I ever have the opportunity to go back to this lodge I will. ||Thank you for doing something so well!

We had a fun day here. They have river tubing, horseback riding, zip lining, mud bath and hot springs all on the same property which was very convenient. This is a great place to go and get a lot of things accomplished in one day

Disappointing. Cabins full of large ants and ant larvae. Daily chemical spraying doesn’t help, except create more of a mess. Cabins otherwise quite dated, but large and with AC. The setting, along the river, is nice and the hot springs provide relief. The private hanging bridge is a nice touch. Rafting and tubing weren’t possible due to rainfall in the mountains. Breakfast was mediocre, and service poor. Food and drinks in wet bar and restaurant quite decent value for money. Renovating accommodations and upgrading breakfast would go a long way!
