"Cañón de la Zorra (Fox Canyon) and its 40-foot waterfall are just north of Santiago, a sleepy yet charming colonial-style town 35 miles north of San José del Cabo, across the Tropic of Cancer. The hike to the waterfall takes you through oases with endemic plants and gives you glimpses into a Baja outback that existed before the region became a popular tourism destination. There’s a great area for swimming as you admire the waterfall and multicolored granite cliffs. Tip: On your trip back to Los Cabos, stop by the Agua Caliente, Santa Rita, and El Chorro hot springs about five miles south of Santiago."

Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. Nice hike to the waterfall. Lots of animals around and it was a nice, cool swim at the base. Bring water or drinks. Nice place to chill for an afternoon.

Surprising little desert oasis! Fun to swim under the waterfall and see the animals nestled way out in the desert. Worth the short drive outside Santiago 👍🏼

Beautiful spot, it’s $12.50USD to get in when I went. Warm water, and they even have cool animals at the entrance like a peacock and box turtles!

Great canyon with some moderate to difficult paths. It is one of the few local places where you can go swimming in a river and being under the waterfall is awesome.

Beautiful canyon and swimming hole/waterfall. The water is cool and clear. Climbers can find ways to jump in from above.

This place is totally awesome. A short 5mind hike from the national park .. down a steep stairs and you will reach this fresh waterfall. 1/3 of it is under 6ft deep.. then a steel drop. A great area for jumping down short or high rocks. You can also join resort tours and drive a UTV (Utility terrain vehicle) through the desert .. the experience is awesome.. zip through soft sand, rivers, regular sand road. A great family tour or bachelors party excursion. (Hint, dare the bachelor to jump down the waterfall)

Wonderful experience! The hike to the waterfall from the ecological center is not too long but it is very steep. Probably a 20 minute walk down with a series of long steps carved into the cliff. The water is cool and unbelievably clear. After swimming and exploring a while we walked up the steps and over to the longer trail that circles up to the pools that feed into the waterfall. We had this area all to ourselves. It was such a peaceful oasis. The trail to the pools is covered in loose sand/rock so you may slide a little. Just remember to keep your hands at your side and don't grab onto a cactus when you start to slide. Lesson learned the hard way.
