I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The rooms were only semi-clean at best, which was already a disappointment upon arrival. Housekeeping didn’t come until around 3pm, a terrible time for anyone who spends the morning and early afternoon exploring the city. After hours of walking, most travelers want to return to a clean, refreshed room, not one that’s just being serviced.
The bathrooms in the lobby were in very poor condition, clogged, dirty, and frankly unpleasant to use. For a property that charges what it does, I expected much higher standards of basic cleanliness and maintenance.
Breakfast was another letdown. At £26 per person, the offering was very average and nowhere near worth the price. There are plenty of cafes in the city that serve far better food for much less. The bartenders were pleasant and friendly.
Overall, I’d say this hotel needs significant improvement in cleanliness, scheduling, and value for money. The only good thing was the location. We stayed at Hilton canopies in the past and had great experiences, unfortunately would not recommend this location.
