Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town (Scottsdale Phoenix, Arizona) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s enough faux-colonial design in the Phoenix area already; Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town is a rakish modern structure that pays tribute to the desert via its sandy color palette and its interiors, which evoke the silhouette of Camelback Mountain in countless ways. The rooms are contemporary and quietly luxurious, while the restaurants and bars include the brasserie-style Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails and the expansive open-air Outrider Rooftop Lounge. Best of all, the location places you amidst the cultural attractions of the authentically walkable Old Town Scottsdale — a rarity in the famously sprawling Phoenix metro area." - Tablet Hotels

The staff here was Awesome, polite & professional Jackie, Matt, Juliana & Brianna! The place is really nice although the walls are a little thin. The negative part I would say is the lobby had no air conditioner!! When you're living in Scottsdale there is no way any hotel should not have the air conditioner functioning in the lobby area. Instead they were fans everywhere. I was told it has been broken for 2 1/2 months. Customers don't want to sit in a room all day they want to enjoy the beauty of the lobby. But unfortunately it was too hot in the lobby to really enjoy. Especially when it's 114° outside. It is not the fault of the workers it is the fault of the corporation. I think the customers have a right to know that when booking. Hilton really needs to get that air conditioner fixed as soon as possible in the lobby to make a awesome stay for the customers.

Hotel location is perfectly walkable to old town. It has underground parking, and everything is first rate from the lobby to the roof pool. Great place to get together. Room was clean, and modern. Everyone was friendly and made you feel valued. I usually think old Scottsdale is crowded, full of drunks on e scooters and hard to find parking. This hotel changes my mind somewhat. Close proximity to a lot.

I am about to check out and I have been so impressed by this hotel. The location is great—museum right next door and walking distance to street with art galleries and restaurants which was fun during the times I wasn’t working. The hotel is very clean and attractive. My room was large and very nice, so I don’t know about some of these complaints about room size.||But what really sets this hotel apart is the customer service. I arrived before check in needing to get ready for a work meeting, and the wonderful front desk staff arranged for me to use the “transfer room” which was a lifesaver. They also helped when I needed a phone charger. Just so friendly and helpful! Restaurant staff were also lovely. ||Highly recommend and will certainly come back when returning to Scottsdale

My wife and I stayed for one night in May 2025 and this Canopy Hilton was amazing! The location is quiet and is in the middle of Old Town Scottsdale. So it is very walkable to lots of local galleries , restaurants and shopping . The rooftop restaurant is set up well and has wonderful views . The hotel room has all the right features to make a stay easy and comfortable with well designed shelving, comfortable bed, and a great shower. We have stayed in a few Canopy Hilton hotels and this one is up to that same high standard!

Google
5/5! We loved this hotel so much. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast at the hotel was also delicious and high quality. You could not get a better location either. The area felt very safe and was walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and the mall. The rooftop lounge and pool were also beautiful with the best view in town!!! The lounge gets very busy at night so I suggest getting a reservation if you want a table, but there is plenty of space to hangout even if there are no tables available. The pool is small with limited seating so if you’d like a chair make sure you get there early if it’s a hot day. I would definitely come stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Scottsdale!

The location of this hotel was great; close to attractions, restaurants and galleries. The exterior of the hotel looked great. The interior of the hotel looked great. That's where the fun stopped... Here is a list of issues we experienced during our four night stay:|1. Air conditioning on first floor (lobby and restaurant) didn't work so they had giant stand-alone units to try to cool the place down. It didn't work.|2. Key cards are required for elevators, which is perfect for security. However, the pads don't always work so you *think* your key card has deactivated itself. You don't find out about this mechanical issue until you mention it at the front desk. |3. The fridge in our room was barely above room temperature, regardless of what we tried.|4. Same fridge was either designed wrong or broken as we had to jimmy levers in the back to get the drawer to close.|5. We asked for housekeeping one day. We did get fresh towels and our bed was made but we weren't given toilet paper or bodywash, both of which nearly out when we got the room. Water glasses were not cleaned but garbage cans were emptied.|6. The hot water was so incredibly hot we determined that there was no cold water in the shower at all. We were nearly scalded with every shower. |I was able to connect with a manager who was very apologetic. She was lovely but the mechanical issues in the hotel made our experience (which wasn't cheap) a serious disappointment.

Great location and enjoyed the amenities at the hotel. Kids like the spacious room and the pool. The open rooftop bar is wonderful and has a great view of old town. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely will go back again if an opportunity knocks.

Google
5 stars all around! I stayed at the Canopy Hotel for my birthday and had the most wonderful experience. The staff was so sweet and accommodating, the rooms were beautiful, spotless, and so comfortable. The outdoor rooftop lounge was absolutely stunning — the perfect place to relax and celebrate. Service was incredible from start to finish. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
My son travels a lot, so he always takes care of booking when he and his family visit. We live in Tucson and decided to meet in Scottsdale for a couple days so we could catch a game and relax. Canopy is a beautiful, boutique hotel in Old Town that make us feel very welcome. My husband and I ended up with a suite and it was very nice. Our room had a party size shower, so if you are inclined to throwing big shower org...er...parties, book a suite, lol. We, however, only used it for showering needs. Our room had a lovely view too. The hotel is within walking distance to many places and right across the street from a museum. You can even rent bicycles at the front desk. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Scottsdale.

Yelp
We revisited this hotel and it was great. The pool is very small (they only have one va adult only va children pool). Bartenders were good. SHOUT OUT to Jacquci she was bay far the BEST. Excellent customer service so she really above and beyond. Location great. We stayed in the suit and it was great. Would recommend.

Yelp
I had a nice stay here. I purchased self-parking through the Hilton app, wasn't sure what to expect. Parking is in a secure garage under the hotel, it's gated with security cameras. Only way to get in is with your room key. I think it was $28/vehicle per night, which to me was well worth it. Parking in the area was 3-hour parking and I have no idea where public parking was. My check-in experience was "ok". I felt the gentleman was talking to me as if I didn't belong there. It wasn't very welcoming, but maybe he needs better training. The hotel is beautiful! And it's so close to the little stores of old town Scottsdale. My room was beyond what I had expected. I should have taken pictures. The hand soaps and shampoos were very healthy, and smelled good! The breakfast place was only available to guests, but you do have to pay for it. Your access key is needed for the elevator and everywhere in the hotel, which I like. I really would like to know what kind of wood the keys are made of! But this hotel was awesome! I'll definitely be back again to try out their premium suites!

Yelp
Clean and convenient! The rooftop was a bit loud with music in evening, but it didn't carry through to 6th floor room. The pool was small, but nice and loungers were comfortable.

Yelp
Very cute hotel! We stayed for Fourth of July weekend and we were pleased with the hotel and the friendly atmosphere. The hotel is close by to lots of great shops and restaurants so the location is very nice! Would return when we choose to visit Scottsdale again!

Yelp
Very nice medium-sized hotel in Old Town Scottsdale that we visited for a few days of spring training baseball and people-watching. Our room was super clean and comfortable, and daily maid service is back. I'd rank this Canopy as "Lexus grade," just one stage below a luxury chain like Waldorf or Ritz-Carlton. As well as being popular with spring training people (walk to Scottsdale Stadium, the spring ballpark of the Giants), it seems to be popular in the "season" with northern folks just getting away from the cold but who aren't up for one of the sprawling resorts a few miles away. There's a small rooftop pool with a sundeck and a couple dozen chairs, and a very popular (with locals as well as tourists) rooftop bar. Most of the bar area seating is by firepits or propane towers to ward off the cool desert evenings. If you're going to go up there for happy hour, or on a weekend evening, be sure to make a reservation online if you want to sit. There's street parking in the area, but we judge it worth using the secured garage, which you can access with your keycard or Hilton app NFC key.

Yelp
10/10 Friendly staff 3 bicycles to borrow. Huge stylish lobby with tons of stylish seating both near the bar and tucked away more privately. Occasional live music. Occasional free apps & booze in the lobby. Clean rooms (we checked the beds). The design is beautiful & convenient. Lots of charging outlets. Smart TV, fridge, coffee station (you may request an electric kettle for tea). Lovely lighting options for the room. Shower was amazing as were the soaps. Be prepared the area has soft water- we initially thought the soap didn't rinse off well but it's the soft water. Extra vanity mirror also on the bathroom counter. Water/ice station up the hall. Rooms were super quiet, no disruption. Beds were comfy and two types of pillows were provided! Only gripe is the platform bed frame pokes out far from the mattress and I hit my shin on it twice causing a massive contusion & bruise. Parking garage is $25/day. Great location for walking Scottsdale. I loved this hotel so much, best stay ever!

Yelp
Stayed here for our Arizona trip. We chose this location because it's one of the safest parts of the town. Phoenix and Tempe are sketchy areas so we wouldn't want to stay out there! Scottsdale and camelback are nice and safe for tourists. Paradise valley is a nice mountain town but a bit far from city life. This Hilton hotel is very different, it's more like an apartment. No services like valet, bell and room service. Room key card to open garage door to park so it's basically just self service! Not even bottle waters for zero waste reasons?! We get a water jar to take water from the lobby. At least they have Nespresso machine. Our junior suite was very nice with a lot of storages. Also very spacious bathroom with a vanity desk. The bed and pillows were so comfortable to sleep in. On site restaurant for breakfast and dinner, roof top bar opens daily till late night. Happy hour in the lobby serves beer and flatbreads. Although the room was nice but I didn't like the self service part. The reason we stay at hotels is for services! We might as well just stay at an Airbnb for half the price! Ps. The late checkout at 1pm was much appreciated!

Yelp
5/5 Everything was top tier eloquent and pleasing! The staff was accommodating, offering a plethora of information about the local establishment surrounding the hotel, even offering an upgraded room! The breakfast in the morning was awesome as well! My room view was beautiful overlooking Old Town Scottsdale, both night time and morning views were breath taking! Definitely will be returning to the large and comfortable King Bed with a LED Light lit bathroom and standing high showers! I'm 6'5" so high ceilings are important to me! I have no complaints about this establishment other than me leaving my gold bracelet behind and room service claiming not to find it's smh. But overall I would definitely recommend and return!

Yelp
Our stay at the hotel started off well--our first night was very pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, just what we had hoped for. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn on the second night when we were abruptly awakened at 2 a.m. by the persistent chirping of the fire alarm. We called the front desk for assistance and were told we could either attempt to remove the battery ourselves or wait for maintenance. Removing the battery would have required us to stand on furniture, which we didn't feel was safe or appropriate. Eventually, a maintenance worker arrived, but by then, our night had been significantly disrupted and we were unable to get proper rest. When checking out, I asked to speak with a manager, but no one was available. I did receive a missed call later that afternoon, but no voicemail was left. When I called back, I was transferred several times before finally speaking with the manager. I was told there was nothing they could do in terms of discounting our disrupted night, but that a follow-up email would be sent. It has now been two days, and I have yet to receive any further communication from the assistant manager. While I understand that issues can arise, the true test of hospitality is how a hotel handles them. In this case, the lack of urgency, poor communication, and overall indifference left a lasting impression. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

Yelp
Had a meeting at this Scottsdale old town Hotel located directly across from the western spirit Museum, the decor and vibe is southwest mid century modern and I absolutely love it, the staff was lovely and accommodating for our meet up . We had light bites and cocktails & I would highly recommend this place. Having some friends come into town and i suggested they stay here , looking forward to having dinner & spending time there !

Yelp
Great location! Within walking distance to old Town and service was great! Clean and spacious rooms...will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Great service, Great Staff. I would recommend the hotel provided water bottles, that is a standard now a days.. the water machine, at the end of the hall with an empty water bottle in the room is weird and low end to me. The bed itself is way too small and short for the actual bedframe, causing me to bruise up my legs everyday. A bell service or bellman would also be a plus. There is no one to greet you when you arrive. Those few improvements, would elevate this place ALOT. The rooftop bar was a plus. The dining in the morning was a plus. The area is great. The most gorgeous museum right across the street. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Given my preferences, I would still recommend it to family and friends..

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel in a perfect Old Town Scottsdale location. I would stay here again and again. Came to town for my BFFs 50th birthday and had a blast. Hotel was so convenient and at night we felt very safe walking around. Comfy rooms, too!

Yelp
First time in Scottsdale and this hotel was the perfect location. You're located right in Old Town so you really don't have to drive anywhere. This hotel was nice, clean, and modern. Rooms were spacious. Parking was right there. It was $25 a night I believe. Customer Service was decent. The staff at the pool were very helpful. Apparently you have to make reservations at the rooftop bar... I did not see any reasoning for that, but maybe it gets busy during certain times. The gym was so-so. They had your standard cardio machines and weights. It was somewhat small, but I guess who is really working out when they're on vacation? The only thing I did not like... the confusion of the late check-out. We booked via The Hotel Collection and you are supposed to get a 4pm check-out (if available). We asked them as soon as we arrived and they said "Yes". But the day before check-out, I spoke to someone and he said he could 1pm, which is fine. But then we had house keeping knocking at our door prior to that (morning). I called the front desk and they said they could only do 12:30pm for a late check-out. So which one was it? Also, we ran out of toilet paper the day of check-out and they said they were going to bring some to our room (after housekeeping had already knocked), but no one came back up. That kind of left a sour taste in my mouth. 4/5 Stars, Great Location

Yelp
Kira was amazing at the pool cabana as a server she was very accommodating and also was the only staff servicing the pool the entire time me and my group was there. She made my friends birthday amazing def would recommend her to anyone who books a cabana!

Yelp
This bartender gave me a great cocktail and guest experience. He was by himself after what they call a (haboob) but he still gave me great service, very personable and attentive. Thank you would come back again!!!!

Yelp
Yes price can be scary, it was my first time in Scottsdale and since I was traveling alone I wanted to be somewhere safe. Location: in the middle of old Scottsdale town , main st and 1st. Staff: I was greeted by Rob, he had a huge smile and nice personality. Made me feel welcome, got me check in quick and answers all my questions. As the day went own, Opie, Abbey and Crystal were also doing front service and all were beyond lovely. Service is phenomenal. I had a charge dispute and crystal fixed it quick. Parking: this was my grrr but even then I didn't lower a star. They charge $22 for overnight parking. I mena come on it can definitely be added to the arm and leg price. They do have free 3hr parking available all @ the hotel. They also have a a restaurant that opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They do not have room service but do have pick up availability from bottom restaurant. The rooftop restaurant is a must check out. Unfortunately when I went no seating available but I managed to seat at bar. No view but blah. You can go early morning and catch the sunrise. No open restaurant but you enjoy the views. Rooms: I got a double queen, one to sleep one for clothes and luggage . Bed was comfortable, comes with plenty of pillows. And comfortable cover. I was surprised to not see a robe or slippers available. Shower and restroom are good size. The vanity is double and good size to put toiletries. They also have a long mirror, however I didn't understand the reason of the middle bar, didn't make sense to me. They do not have an iron but do have a steamer. Water bottle is available to refill. Coffee machine but would suggest to add more creamers with more options. If you get a window view the sun hitting your room room feels good. Of course is optional, if you like you open your curtains. They also have bikes available included with your stay. Overall great spot.

Yelp
If you're looking for the perfect get away spot in Scottsdale, then THIS is the place to be! Location is great....but the customer service was WAY better!! Upon my check in, the staff Samantha & Jena were able to accommodate me by having our room cleaned quickly yet in orderly fashion! The cleaning staff was so amazing as they were friendly, always greeted me with a smile, and was on their "A-Game"! Throughout my stay....I was constantly checked in by the front staff! Ivana always brightened up the lobby with her smile and energy...giving great recommendations on what to do, and the best time to do it! Jena also shined with her personable touch, always having an open arm and follow through! Thank You ALL for the great accommodations, as I couldn't have picked a much better place to stay! I look forward to returning to the Canopy in "Old Town", Scottsdale, AZ! Much Love! AJ Johnson & Family

Yelp
Phenomenal first stay at Canopy Scottsdale! From check-in, the staff were kind and thorough in explaining amenities the hotel had to offer. The design concept of the (Standard King) room was functional and intuitive. Seriously, hooks and light switches exactly where you'd expect them to be. Very spacious room, and the option to further segment with barn doors made it feel even larger. Room was pristinely clean and the bed was a dream. The Canopy brand is clearly Hilton at its boutiquey best, and this will be my permanent stay when visiting Scottsdale.

Yelp
We have learned to stay at the higher end hotels for a better experience when we travel. However, that theory of ours didn't pay off this time. Upon entering we found this location to be very pleasant and welcoming. There were tastings going on with a lovely orangey beer to complement. The checkin was easy and quick. Parking is $25 and it's very secure. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. What is that over the toilet? Strangest picture I've ever seen. We visited the bar and had a very nice conversation with the bar attendant. Last call was at 9pm and we barely made it. Then it came to laying down in the bed. . My feet were higher than my butt and that became a very uncomfortable situation. After tossing for an hour, I ended up sleeping on the chaise. It was also uncomfortable but not as bad as the bed. We mentioned this upon check out and they did give us a small discount. That was appreciated but didn't make up for the night of yuck.

Yelp
My wife and I have loved this hotel since COVID when we took our first VERY SPECIAL venture back out into the world. It was a very special visit and the quality of their space and their hospitality have brought us back again and again. What we LOVE the most about this lovely place is their WONDERFUL people. You can have the best location, the most opulent space, with food and drink to beat the band, but if you don't have a LOVELY human being like Brandon to serve you breakfast, we will not be back. Thank you Brandon and ALL of the people at this VERY SPECIAL place!!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful staycation at the Canopy Hotel. If I had written this review earlier, I could have mentioned the names of all the staff members who made our stay exceptional. We stayed there in December, and the front desk attendant (who was a true gem) made the entire experience great from start to finish. We arrived late, and he suggested The Beverly for food and drinks. He was our guy during the stay, informative, helpful, and funny! If I had written this earlier in the year, I could have shouted him out by name -- from the recommendations to accommodations, everything he suggested fit our vibe perfectly. We had so much fun! The rooftop bar was great, and the rooms were pristine. Growing up in Scottsdale, you don't experience many hotels. It was a fun treat.

Yelp
This hotel was a big disappointment. I paid for a slightly larger room, but the room was directly above the garbage dumpsters and an alley, and each morning the grinding and crashing of garbage trucks woke me up before 7am. My room was also directly across the hall from the ice machine and the elevator---so I had a ton of noise coming from both sides. I was looking forward to relaxing at the rooftop pool, but the space was packed with 20-somethings, and the music on the rooftop was WAY too loud for anyone my age to enjoy it. I asked to use the hotel safe to store an artwork I bought, because the room safes have a warning on them that they are subject to theft themselves, and guests are urged to use the hotel safe for valuables. But the gal at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. One evening when I came for dinner, I asked the bartender if he had the Masters on, and he said he doesn't watch tv because he is working. That began a slow slide down with that dinner crew---they are nice young people, but they talked openly, in earshot, of hangovers, drinking, relationship issues, and finally one suggested that if I ordered another drink I would pay for it the next day. I lost it. They told me I was "projecting on to them." I might have been, but I know what projecting is, and they had been judging their friends in their conversation, and I felt judged as well. It was incredibly inappropriate and upset me to no end. The rest of the staff were very nice, and the lobby is attractive. The room was okay, except for the noise----what sense does it make to charge someone for extra space but then have the stay ruined by constant noise, which included a lot of drunken young people running up and down the halls. I'd really like a partial refund and will be contacting the hotel.

Yelp
Cailyn! You were wonderful. We went to check out the rooftop pool! I am loving all these cute newer hotels! Lobby area is huge. Plenty of space to relax and just enjoy the scene. It's located in the heart of old town! The rooms were homey, cute and chic. I enjoyed my stay, and the staff was pleasant! The pool area loved it! This spot was more of an adult crowd. Super chill and plenty of space to just kick back in the shade or stay in the sun. Lounge chairs are comfortable. I will be back to relax. Whenever I have spare time to relax. The Cabanas are spacious. Great for entertaining with friends and family. The food wasn't bad either. We had wings with fries and a chicken Quesadilla. The Pool Service was okay one day and better the next. Until next time Scotty!

Yelp
Great choice to stay here. I have no complaints, maybe except room service not servicing the room one day. Staff were friendly and welcoming- from front desk, to the lobby restaurant. My room was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the complimentary happy hour offered- it was nice to grab a quick bite (flatbread) and festive shot before stepping out for the evening. I did have breakfast in the lobby restaurant one day- the chicken chilaquiles were FABULOUS. I wouldn't hesitate to get that again if i stayed. Couldn't even finish it the portion was deceivingly big. Walkable area too- historic district with shops and restaurants right behind the hotel and just a block up was a starbucks and walgreens- super convenient. Parking was never an issue and they offer a garage for overnight parking (cannot park overnight on the street which was another small qualm). Overall, very pleased with my stay!

Yelp
Stopped by on a whim and was shown to two comfy chairs overlooking Scottsdale. While the drink menu is unique, we went for our standard Old-Fashion. Wowie! It was the best we have had! $11 per drink. Server was friendly and fun. Book for a sunset experience.

Yelp
A canopy rooftop is a fantastic place for views tourists! But unfortunately, we didn't make reservations, so we could only go to the bar area! The drinks were good but overpriced. I'd come back and make a reservation to enjoy the rooftop on a beautiful day! They also have a good menu that I want to try next time! Since they were so busy, their service wasn't Amazing. I was f disappointed by their service!

Yelp
I stayed here for one night with some friends. We were happy to find that the price wasn't too crazy. We were helped to book the room with the amazing staff who gave information on the food in the hotel and to check out the rooftop bar. The hotel was spotless and had a modern feeling about it. I absolutely loved the decor. Our room was nice and we even had a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in Scottsdale!

Yelp
I'm a Hilton guy, stayed at most of their properties but never a canopy. It won't be my last! We were doing a little southwest swing, planning to visit Scottsdale, Tucson and tombstone. We had 1 night in Scottsdale and 2 in Tucson planned- this becomes relevant in a minute. The hotel is great, parking, rooms, people- all top notch The parking is secure, need a room key to get in, and it's not just little arms but full blown doors so no one is wandering in without a key. You also need the key to work the elevator to get into the hotel. The room was amazing, very spacious and clean. Plenty of amenities and an nespresso maker. They give you a glass bottle and you can fill it from the water machine in the hall as much as you like. I prefer bottle water but this was cool, as you always had access to ice cold water. The tv in the room can be controlled through the Hilton app as well. I expect there will be more to control eventually like lights, AC etc at some point. Bed was comfy and they have little lounge chairs in the room with tables for snacking or whatever. Hilton took away the free breakfast and now gives you a credit. I hate it but whatever. There was bags in the room for breakfast, you just hang it outside the door and for 5 bucks you get a yogurt, refreshing drink and fruit. Great! I thought, expecting yogurt, a smoothie or something and fruit cup or something like that...and put it out for both of us. Well, you got a small yogurt, a bottle of orange juice and an apple. Not quite what I was expecting it technically as described We decided to visit the rooftop lounge for a night cap and it was really cool. Great views, nice tables and fire pits. Really relaxing place to have a drink or two. We checked out and headed to Tucson. The hotel there was so bad, and we were so impressed with the Canopy, we booked a room back here for Sunday and just left the other hotel and came back. Love it here and we'll be back soon!

Yelp
I really love this place. My husband and I stayed here for a few days after visiting family in Tucson. The hotel is very nice, spacious, and clean. Every employee we encountered was super friendly. The location cannot be beat; right in the heart of Old Town. There are so many places within walking distance. The offer parking in the garage, which is charged to your room. I'm not a fan of paying for parking, but it was so nice to have it right there and be able to unload and load the car by the elevators. I'm not sure when my travels will bring me back to Scottsdale. When they do, I will stay here again.

Yelp
We recently spent two nights at this hotel to celebrate a milestone birthday. Everything was top notch! Our room was spotless, well-appointed, quiet and thoughtfully laid out. Management graciously sent a lovely birthday greeting and huge tray of chips and variety of salsas to our room. What an unexpected, delightful surprise! Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed cocktails at the rooftop bar with a fantastic view! On the last morning of our stay, we ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It was delicious! Our server (can't recall her name) went above and beyond with super friendly service and a smile. She deserves kudos from management! This hotel is beautifully appointed and thoughtfully arranged. It's located in Old Town Scottsdale proper and easily walkable to restaurants, museums, and shopping. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to a return stay very soon!!

Yelp
Absolute nightmare, stay away. We booked a three night stay for February 14, 2025 through February 17, 2025. We had to leave one night early for a very serious family emergency. When we checked out and explained the situation, the front desk clerk told me they would make a note so I could get a refund. We pre-paid so I was given a separate number to call because it's apparently handled through a different division. I called that number and they told me to call the specific hotel. I called back the hotel and they told me to deal with the pre-paid customer service, I called them back and they referred me again to the hotel. I went in circles like this for about a dozen calls. Each time, they promised me a refund (which was close to $500). It's now been THREE MONTHS and I'm still getting the run around. I've been promised a refund to my credit card half a dozen times, which never happened. They are either deceptive, incompetent, or likely both. It really soured the whole stay for us. In late April, they promised a check within the next 30 days, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll believe it when I see it after so many unfulfilled promises to refund my credit card. Stay away at all costs.

Yelp
A great feature of Old Town Scottsdale is the lack of super tall buildings. The disappointing feature is there are only a few places with a great night time view, Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town is one of these few places. After dinner and the customary window shopping with gelato in hand, we found our way to the relatively new Hilton. In nosing around, we learned they had a roof top bar. For being downtown, it has a great view. The food choices were extremely limited, but we weren't there for the food but the view. Scottsdale has an incredible climate and atmosphere. There are few places that one can have a good meal, safe and comfortable walking environment, and now a great place for drinks and night-time view. It was very relaxing overlooking all the night time lights and feeling the warm breeze. This will definitely be a place to revisit.

Yelp
We stayed here when we came for a weekend. The rooms were large and clean, the largest hotel room I've seen in a long time. The staff was super nice and helpful in terms of where to go in the area. Shout out to GiGi the waitress at the restaurant who was personable and made for a pleasant breakfast experience and to the front desk attendant, Matthew, who went above and beyond in terms of customer service. He really made our stay special. There is parking in the garage below the hotel for $20/night as well as a rooftop bar with some pretty good cocktails.

Yelp
absolutely abysmal and overpriced. over 700 a night with parking for a room that looked like a glorified holiday inn express. problem one. we checked in around 530pm April 17. the front desk staff seemed uninterested and bored. we asked about parking. the gentleman waved his hand in a general direction outside the hotel and said over there, under the hotel. then began talking to the female co worker at the front desk. we asked again for clarification. the female at the front desk acted exasperated. problem two. the room was ok. however , the mattress does not cover the frame of the bed causing a leg injury during the night. the top sheet had a huge hole at the top. problem three. the male bartender in the restaurant lobby bar was short and condescending. very unwelcoming. there was room service etc. definitely not a 4 star experience. or worth 700. for a king room. the good : the female bartender at the rooftop bar was a pleasure. very cool. the view was nice. the area was quiet. the mattress was comfortable. Over all a complete rip off. We don't mind paying that much for a nice place but, this was not it.

Yelp
The drinks at the rooftop are terrible. I was hoping the margarita was just an isolated case, but the mojito was even worst. Cheap and tasteless.

Yelp
Visited on an overnight stay while in AZ in April 2022.. Hilton offers relatively hip hotel stays. There were two restaurants- one on the first floor and a patio bar upstairs. The room rate was upwards of $330. Personally, hotel features did not equate to that amount. Tru by Hilton is comparably designed for a lot less. Our room was clean and our window faced a building. There is street parking directly in front of the hotel and an underground garage which is well lit. Keycard entry is necessary to enter both garage and hotel garage elevators. We dined at the COBRE kitchen + cocktails. I enjoyed lemon garlic broccolini, fried calamari with romesco dipping sauce, and roasted wild mushroom flatbread. And for breakfast whole wheat toast, eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Both meals were flavorful.

Yelp
Originally chose this hotel due to its Old Town location but fell in love with everything else once I arrived! First, the location is perfect! Walking distance to several restaurants and shoppes. There is a parking garage under the hotel which is very clean and well lit but the tons of free parking all around the hotel, not sure how it works overnight. Security and cleanliness: you need a room key for EVERYTHING which made me feel secure, especially from the garage. The hotel was very clean and the room was perfect with the Hilton cleanliness seal! The room: the room was really large and beautiful! I loved the shower set up and how spacious the room was overall. You could use your phone as a digital key to get into garage, room and as a remote to the TV. Dining: we only ordered drinks from the bar downstairs in the lobby, they were expensive but the bartender was very friendly! There are two restaurants on site though. Overall: we planned to only stay one night and I felt like it was such a waste, why... because this hotel was perfect! I need more time! I definitely enjoyed the time we had but I left wanting more! There is a cool roof bar and lounge we didn't get to partake in, we walked up there quickly and it was really cool! They rent bikes to ride around old Town, I would have loved to have done that as well! The room was so comfortable, I just wish we were in it more! I wouldn't hesitate to ever stay here again or suggest this hotel to anyone staying in Scottsdale!

Yelp
Well if you don't mind not having any water for a shower and no maintenance to deal with it and having to move to the end of the building when you are trying to get ready for a dinner, then you will love this place. I will never stay at Extended Stay America again

Yelp
So I'm pretty impressed. I'm not a hotel buff. I prefer houses for comfort but this was near our event and convenient! Very nice lay out in the lobby. Parking was convenient and secure. It was kind of a pain to scan the room key in the elevator every time but not the end of the world. The rooftop pool was packed so we didn't get to enjoy that but the rooftop deck was cool! The room was spacious and clean. Recommend.

Yelp
I would go somewhere else if I had it to do over. First, the good - my room is beautiful and spacious. It's in a decent location. Secondly, the odd and not quite right - see picture of the art over the toilet (just odd) and the corner of the bathroom, which is dusty and not clean. Also, the odd amount of the hold put on my card ($75 per day) was not told to me at check in. Thirdly, the bad - it is the king one bedroom suite. Apparently there is one like the picture on the website and luckily for me, I got it. My sister also reserved one and got a much less well-appointed room for the same price (almost $600 per night with tax). Just be warned - if you want the fancy room they only have one. The a/c is throttled at 66 F and it does not blow into the bedroom so it is much warmer with no air movement although there is an apparently non- working vent in the bedroom. We called and they said the engineer would fix it remotely. We called 45 minutes later and asked for them to call us when it was done. They said they would. They never did. That might be fair because it never cooled off. Instead, when contacted today they offered fans and got my last name wrong (they typed in half of it). The sheets and linens generally are very average. Not what one would expect at the price point. The mattress is worn (lump in center) and firm. Maybe 3 hours sleep a night for almost $600 per night and they can't even get my last name right. I do not recommend it.

Yelp
I'm a Lifetime Diamond member, I have been to over 1000 Hilton properties and this is one of my absolute favorite hotels. The rooms are great, the decide of the hotel is nice, the roof top bar is amazing. Loved the pool area and even the parking was nice. Sitting on the roof watching the sunset is unbelievable. We ending up watching the sun set and then we watched the downtown Scottsdale night life literally come alive. The views are really nice. Hilton really hit the ball out of the park with this new brand of hotels. This is the 2nd Canopy that I have been to and they both really offer a unique experience.

Yelp
Hotel staff is great except downstairs at the restaurant there is one guy a server who's name is either Andrew or Anthony (i forgot his name). He totally absolutely disrespected my family and i. No need to go into the details online, but watch out for him. Shallow and RUDE guy. He might harass your wife and daughter for bringing in a salad from outside of the hotel... someone needs to tell the management he has got to go. Ruined our family vacation Out of nothing, over nothing. Total nonsense. Trust me when he serves you you'll know exactly who i am referring to. Ask for your servers name before he starts bringing in the waters...

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel with a 360 view on their rooftop bar. The sunset was something to take in this evening .. it breathtaking. The bar area is really great, good service and cocktail selection. Fun place to hang out and enjoy a good drink, food and the views.

Yelp
When we last visited Old Town Scottsdale, we stayed here within its inaugural year. Amid an ever-developing neighborhood, I would say the area has grown in stature as has the hotel. The requisite tourist destination restaurants and bars have been supplemented with markets, museums, shops, and other worthwhile attractions. A year later it has all caught on and the Canopy is no exception while those at the hotel did not let those enhancements go to their collective heads either. The hotel indeed speaks for itself. The staff is cordial and solicitous to a flaw. The food at Cobre is as good as can be. This year the place offers all the amenities and services it offered the traveler (or reveler) as the last plus a nice little vibe. It is quite popular. It is also environmentally conscious. For good or ill do not expect to store away 'souvenirs' of your room. You might go there for the location and wind up staying for the building.

Yelp
Super convenient location. Walkable to many things to do in Scottsdale. Staff was super engaged and friendly at the front desk, coffee bar in the morning, the rooftop bar as well as the lobby bar. Room was clean, well-stocked, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. I slept better this weekend than I have in a long time. Would definitely stay here again, nice touch to have a glass bottle in the room to fill down the hall with a filtered water machine. Like not adding to the number of bottle recycled.

Yelp
This hotel is located right in Old Town Scottsdale. The western museum is right next to the hotel, and restaurants are within walking distance. This is a great location if you plan on staying in old town Scottsdale. The Canopy hotel has a fun roof top where you can have your favorite drinks and food with a nice view of Old Town. The pool is also next to the bar and is gated, as to separate the bar from the pool. In order to access all these amenities, you will need your hotel key. The elevator will not allow you to go anywhere without your key. You also need your key to go inside the pool. Another perk, you can rent their bikes for up to two hours at no cost! All you have to do is sign a waiver where it states you are responsable for the bike. We biked the whole old town. There are bike lanes so it is super safe. On the lobby area, there is another bar and restaurant. We had breakfast at this restaurant, but it was not very good. On a good note, the coffee was very good. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in old town Scottsdale.
