Cantacuzino Castle

Absolutely stunning views of the mountains and the castle itself is well worth a visit. The guided tour is quick although it has alot of information about the history and theres a lovely cafe outside where you can also walk freely through the courtyard and castle grounds. Very scenic and plenty of great photo opportunities.

The view from the castle is absolutely amazing — one of the best mountain views I’ve ever seen! The guided tour was great; even though there isn’t a huge amount of information about the castle itself, the guide explained everything very thoroughly and with great attention. It was quite crowded (probably because of the Wednesday series filming), and the weather was cold and rainy, but honestly, that breathtaking view made it totally worth it! 🏰🌧️🌄

The castle itself is fairly small but cool and the tour was informative but a bit slow paced. If you’re not really into the history, I would recommend just strolling the grounds at your own pace and then having a nice cold beer at the cafe outside. Plenty of outdoor patio seating with extremely beautiful views of the mountains nearby. Quite the spot to relax and enjoy being alive 🙏

Great Experience lovely place but If you’re visiting because of the Wednesday series, please note that the filming took place only outside the palace. The tour focuses on the palace itself, so it may not match what you saw in the show

Beautiful location with stunning view of Mountains. The tour inside is well worth doing even if you don't speak Romanian as there is an app to translate the key information. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning. Great for Wednesday fans but even if you're not it is stunning and not to be missed. Parking within the gates is a major bonus and the restaurant is very good.

Much calmer and less touristy compared to the other attractions nearby. You can park nearby for free, but you have to pay to visit the castle. Very beautiful, with some gorgeous views of the mountains tho.

A nice castle that in addition to it's history also was used to shoot the series Wensday (Adams family followup), this makes the place to be crazy existing for teenagers :) The place has a castle with a large outside area you can go through, internal area that can be entered only with the guided tour, a secret room which is the room similar to the Wensday series room, a Lego room which is basically a Lego commercial. The full tour will take you around 2 hours. The prise for the full visit is high and for our 2 adults + 2 children cost 325. I think that the internal tour is not worth the money, you just wait while the guide speaks in Romanian while reading some info in the preferred language. This setup definitely is not working well for children. The castle can be visited during rain, but does require some outside walking, so heavy rain might be a problem.

I do agree with the reviews that say the entrance fee is a bit pricey but it’s a beautiful place. The scenery is also beautiful. You should go here at least once in your life.
