Cantera Diez Hotel Boutique

Please take care of your cars when you leave them at this hotel, unfortunately they damaged my car, it seems this happened in the parking where they park the cars and the hotel didn’t responded to the damage. I stayed on weekend of December 5th and 6th 2025. The general manager Moises Gutierrez had the worst attitude and has no manager skills. Days after, the general manager Camila Arriaga wrote me saying that in the cameras it doesn’t show when the car was damaged so they will not assume responsibility for my car. I didn’t lie because my car is new and had no scratches or damage so I was really upset and now I will have to pay for something they did. I am very disappointed with the hotel and how they didn’t assume the responsibility as you are confident that your car will stay safe with them and this is not what happened. Please don’t trust them or be very careful when you give your car to note is without any damages.

Came here with my husband for the first time and we had an incredible experience. Right when we walked in we were given complimentary champagne. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm, charming and luxe. Our room was spotless and the decor was beyond what we imagined. Sheets, toiletries, slippers, robes, etc. were very nice. The staff was attentive, kind, and extremely helpful. Definitely 5 star. Will continue to stay here in the future!!

Great spot, with phenomenal service and attentive staff. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. Great rooftop and centrally located. The hotel is secure and located near many shops and restaurants. i can not say enough about the staff and how great and welcoming they are ! Must stay if you are in town.

Prime location to stay in downtown Morelia. We stayed in the basic room, but we should’ve just paid the upgrade for a suite. Basic room doesn’t have a windows, and I wish the showers had some type of privacy. Other than that service was top notch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We fould the staff so very friendly from the moment we arrived. Learning the history of the building, wandering the halls and sitting in the enclosed patio to soak up the atmosphere were part of the charm of our stay. The view from the terrace of the cathedral is unparralled! The rooms are extremely comfortable, with a perfect blend of old-world feel with up-to-date luxury. Everything from start to finish was just WOW!

What a bad experience at their restaurant. Doesn´t even deserve one star. After ordering and telling the waiter that I am quiet hungry and looking forward to my dish, they fully equipped my table with plates and cutlery. My drink came after 10 minuntes... so far so good. I am a very patient person. After 45 to 60 minutes the waiter came back and asked, if I am waiting for something. Whaaaat? - Oh, the waiter forgot to order. ... and that was that. No excuse, no saying like, do you want a coffee while waiting. Cannot judge the foood, because it never came.... --

Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a bit more than a week, one word review: MAJESTIC. This hotel is in an ideal location, our room faced the beautiful Cathedral. Staff makes you feel like you’re at home. The bell boy, Hugo, goes out of his way to assure a comfortable stay. They have a binder of services that includes travel guides, spa service, room services, golf ling recommendations, and even a pillow service!! 5-star experience, will definitely come back every time I am in Morelia.

The hotel was lovely the from the beginning when we walked in the person at the front desk was very accommodating very sweet. We were brought up to our room and treated look like royalty. The room was a little odd with a shower behind the bed, but other than that it was beautiful. We had a big patio that faces the cathedral that was absolutely beautiful in the morning this where we had a small glitch, we ordered room service, coffee and pan dulce and we received a coffee that was completely water down horrible it was not even drinkable and the assortment of sweet breads that we received were very stale. Unfortunately it cost us of us $30 for something that we could’ve gone anywhere and gotten for under five but good coffee and good sweet bread that was a little bit of a glitch to the whole good experience that we had.

Lovely Hotel! If you are looking to stay here for one night or two weeks, the staff was amazing. They meet my sister and I needs everyday. Appreciate Kat on her great customer service and the support given on our stay. If in Morelia again, I am sure this Hotel will be my first choice. I cannot reiterate the wonderful the staff was!! Thank you! Thank You! Thank you!!! Thank you for making our stay the best in Morelia.

This review is for the restaurant only (NOT the hotel)... I was in Morelia with my mom and a friend one Saturday in August of this year and found out that they do a fireworks show at Catedral (the main church in Morelia) on Saturdays, and we decided to have dinner at the Portales right across from it when we stumbled upon Cantera Diez. I know street food in Michoacán is amazing, but I still don't expect much from restaurants, but as far as restaurants go Cantera exceeded my expectations. The food is great, the drinks are delicious and fresh, the service is courteous, and the view of the cathedral is good. I made a quick stop in Morelia today before heading to the airport and decided I needed to go back to this place, and I'm still happy I did.

This is nice hotel in town square Moralia City Mexico and this place have a good location for walk to everywhere around that's mean restaurant, Bar, Nightclubs and shopping area. One thing I don't like it a bathroom Coz so naked. Lol but that good for couple not good for friend. :)

This place is fantastic! The staff was VERY helpful and the location of the Hotel is phenomenal. Right in front of the Cathedral. I'm surprised they didn't have people who spoke anything other than Spanish. I speak French, Farsi, English, I can get by in Spanish and Italian but they only had hispanophones. So they lost half a point there. So this is really a 4.5 The restaurant's food was delicious, very reasonably priced, and very clean when we went. The hotel staff puts out fruit infused water out in the common area which is just a sublime place to just HANG OUT... I never just hang out when I'm traveling, but this place was worth it. Cantera Diez. My fiancée and I miss you and can't wait to come visit you again.

Had a great time in Morelia. Came for my father in laws wedding. The food at the hotel was fantastic and a great price considering the exchange rate for the dollar. The cocktails were incredible but a little short on the booze. By the end of our 5 day trip I had switched to drinking cerveza. The staff was very accommodating: brought us anything we needed upon request and allowed us to have a private rooftop massage and dinner. Hotel is right across the street from the cathedral. Great people watching.

Do not order steak and you will be fine. Typical Mexican menu, drinks are good.

Good location. Filthy restaurant. A broom and a dirty bucket next to our table. Fair wine list. The problem is that the wines listed are not available. Mc Donald's alike napkins. No bread, salsas or butter like in the rest of restaurants in Mexico. We did not tried the food because we walked away after being waiting 15 minutes for the waiter to return to our table. Many better options nearby.
