Cantina La Mascota

This place is absolutely fantastic! The food and service were phenomenal. I had the chamorro and it was absolutely falling apart and delicious, the beams and guacamole that came with it were great too, now the roasted garlic escabeche had something about it that just made the whole meal perfect! An absolute treat! If you're in CDMX it's a must! Great spot!

The waiter was very helpful with our order and gave excellent recommendations. I highly suggest trying the cabrito al horno espaldilla (roasted goat) paired with a michelada. The ambience is 10/10—authentic, unpretentious, and untouched by forced modernity.

Authentic Mexican bar. Saw this on somebody feed Phil. Loved the experience. Went for an afternoon beer. It’s so raw and unassuming but that’s exactly what you’d want from a place like this

The margarita tasted of sewage at the time. I didn’t drink half of it and ate the rest of the food. Having traced my movements back I now have severe food poisoning and have been passing buckets for the past 2 days. Avoid avoid avoid

Great place and service and food the only minor setback would be the pushy for tips waiters , make sure to bring cash for the tips.

What a let down. Margarita was terrible, mole negro was hideous, smelt like marmite and chocolate was mixed together, served with rubbish cheese and raw onions. Utterly disappointing

Had a pleasure of discovering this place for a fine breakfast. My huevas divorciadas were simply excellent, so were my husband's mole enchiladas. The service is extremely attentive, it was obvious that our satisfaction was highly important to the staff. They were kind enough to keep bringing local treats which were very appreciated by us, first time Mexico city tourists. The older gentleman speaks English, which also helped a lot. Definitely coming back to this place.

Wonderful dining experience!

This is an old school place. You will see people who have been coming for years. The food is very good classic food. We had the cabrito en el horno. It's not cheap like tacos, but middle of the road for a restaurant. Drinks look good,the white wine I had was good. Go when you want to experience the past with good quality.

This is an extremely pricey cantina. Even though pricey, the waiter added a tequila drink to our bill. Although our apartment is close, we won't return. A disappointing experience.

Spent the whole day going to museums and the evening chilling here. Great food and a good liquor selection. Generous mezcal pours and very cold beers.
