Cantina Lx

The atmosphere was pleasant and the drinks were good. However, the “seasonal fruit platter” was disappointing—it was just oxidized pineapple with some eyes still left in. The salad didn’t seem fresh and even had a hair in it. The burger, while not terrible, was undercooked and served with low-quality chips. Service was friendly but noticeably slow, probably because the staff seemed overwhelmed. On the plus side, the salad was deducted from the bill without any hassle. Overall, not a terrible experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

I had the roasted octopus, and it was absolutely perfect — tender, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting! But what truly made me smile was how much my little daughter enjoyed her meal. She's a very picky eater and rarely finishes a plate at any restaurant. At La Cantina, we ordered the traditional sausage for her — and to my surprise, she ate the entire dish with great appetite and joy. She simply wouldn’t stop eating! It made me so happy. Everything was clean, well-organized, and the atmosphere was both cozy and artistic. The staff were kind and welcoming. I sincerely thank everyone who made our experience so lovely. When a picky child finishes her plate, you know the food is exceptional. La Cantina is truly a gem in LX Factory. 🌿

Good atmosphere and great service. The place looks industrial and blend in with the alternative feeling of LX. Food was ok, veal burger tasted healthy, a bit dry perhaps (too lean?). The fish fillet was well cooked and tasty. Crispy skin was perfect and the potatoes broccoli side was also tasty.

wow, unexpectedly great food in lx factory and reasonably priced as well! got the oven baked seabass and it was so generous in portion, salt crust was very salty but it was nice paired with the fresh flaky fish. my partner said the pork ribs were amazing, fall off the bone! would recommend both dishes and they were around 15€ for each!

The place was very quiet compared to neighbouring restaurants, which should have given a clue to the problems we were about to have. The service was slow and poorly communicated with us and the kitchen. The veal is definitely not a dish you want to select. It was tough, and did not taste or smell like a well butchered product. Avoid and go to any of the nearby restaurants.

What a special place! I immediately fell in love with the interior. All the history that got preserved there. It’s very unique and you should really explore it. The food is good but not outstanding. Their special is a wood fire oven. Prices are quite high for what they serve. Service is not really attentive and also not as cordial as you would expect in Portugal. That's why I only rated it 4 stars. But overall definitely a place to try.

A very nice place! We were immediately hit by the location, it was so rustic and typical.. we really liked it. We both tried fish, the food was good and abundant and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful

We had lunch here, and the food and service were fine overall. The thing that made me write this review is the following incident: me and my family went here, and ordered food. I specifically asked for the vegetarian burger, but recieved a meaty one. It was not my problem, because there was a miscommunication, that happens. They apologized, and got me the food I asked for, and we paid and went away. After we went out, I looked at the (little too high) bill, and noticed, that they made us pay for the burger I did not order as well. I felt taken advantage of, because we are visitors, and if it is a restaurant policy, I feel like they still should have let me know.

Cantina - the go-to restaurant in LX Factory! The food is varied but all excellent and with a Portuguese flair that makes it special. The service is knowledgeable and helpful, and always prompt (in two visits so far....). This restaurant has history! It was the cantina of the original LX Factory, and the firewood oven is original to the cantina. It produces absolutely excellent shrimp, steak, sausages, and fish! You will enjoy your meal here!

Food was good here. Service was great. Not a bad spot for dinner with a 3yr old and infant. Ambiance was great. Had the octopus which was cooked nicely. Vegetarian options for my better half worked nicely.

Take your time, it takes a while. The food is great here, service is slow because there so many people and food is made with great care. Awesome vibe and ambiance in the middle of a cute art district ( with the best chocolate cake) I ordered the shrimp very tasty, vegetable soup - lentil ( very delicate) octopus delicioso and the robalo a bit salty for me, but my man loved it. Great place to talk and spend some time with your loved ones.

My husband and I agreed that we had the best meal we've had in Europe here at LX Cantina. We had the beef steak and the beef shoulder, both delicious dishes. However, along with the issue with the dessert, something they did to us made me very upset...thus the 3 stars. The waitress was nice. She spoke and understood English so ordering was easy. Our order was simple; 1 beef steak, 1 beef shoulder, 2 glasses of sangria and 2 sodas. Service was really slow but the waitress was apologetic and we were understanding. We sipped our STRONG sangrias (1 white, 1 red...the white was better here) while we waited. At the start if our meal, she brought to us (and to the family next to us) each a basket of bread with olive oil and a small bowl of olives. The problem came with the bill. She had charged us for the bread and olives (almost 5€). Not cool. Also, while eating my dessert (apple tart with vanilla ice cream) I took a bite that had a very clear Roquefort (bleu) cheese taste to it. I stopped another waiter and asked him if this dish had any such ingredient in it. Confirming my belief, he said that it did not! So... either something was rotten in it -or- maybe they sliced cheese for the cheese platter with the same knife they sliced the apple tart with. Also not cool.

Trendy place. Food was underwhelming and both the cod and beef was over cooked. Service was extremely slow and it wasn't because it was busy.

Free small salad bar. Food is cooking in a fire oven so takes a little longer but very good. Free WiFi. Relaxing atmosphere

Cool place with a good vibe, but my wife and I were both underwhelmed by the food (beef shoulder for me and quinoa for her)
