Opinion: What will Singapore's bar scene look like in the near future? - SilverKris

"A micro mezcal-focused spot tucked down a tiny alley and housed in a garage-sized space barely larger than a storage unit, delivering an intimate, focused drinking experience centered on mezcal in a compact, authentic setting." - Charlene Fang & Rachel Eva Lim

A cozy and stylish bar with an impressive selection of spirits and creative cocktails. The atmosphere is warm and intimate — perfect for a relaxed evening or casual night out. I tried their Signature of the Week, which was beautifully balanced and full of character. The texture of the foam on top added a nice touch and made the drink even more enjoyable. The bartenders were friendly, skilled, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can really taste the craftsmanship in every sip. Would definitely come back to try more of their weekly specials! 🍸

Awesome!! Standing room garage bar that fits 20 people. Come on earlier side. Delicious drinks. Jus amazing. Super cool vibe. It started as a pop up 6 + years ago and still going strong .. must come here if visiting from out of town.

I love fun and funky drinks and a friend took me here to try the Pav Ok special of the week - super nice drink and I love it when bartenders have fun with their drinks. Tiny stand-up bar for about 8 people. Shout out to Sammy for her good vibes. First time trying mezcal and would drink again.

Love this place. The drink was nice, and they even described to me the ingredients and taste felt like. We went there just before xmas and the atmosphere was so good. Cons: its a small place and not much seat but it doesnt mean you cant enjoy the vibe!

Can you believe that this tiny garage in an alleyway, in the middle of Sydney, is an agave bar?! ⁣ ⁣ Cantina OK! is so cosy that it can only fit 20 people standing, no seats at all! Plus they were recently voted as the best tequila bar in Australia by Australian Bartender. Cocktails went for a standard price of AUD25 and there’s usually a weekly special on the menu too.⁣ ⁣ 💜 𝗪𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐎𝐊!⁣ This had a really nice mouthfeel because of the blackberry sorbet, quite a palatable cocktail but the burnt chilli oil left quite a slimey aftertaste⁣ ⁣ 🌶️ 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐎𝐊!⁣ A proper spicy margarita with a bit more smokiness from the mezcal. Not too spicy, very well balanced, and had a bit of a herbal flavours coming from the yuzushu⁣ ⁣ 🥥 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐊!⁣ A classic sour with a creamy foam, but with a kick from the tequila and interesting textures from coconut jelly and sago⁣ ⁣ 🩵 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐳 𝐎𝐊! ⁣ This was their special for that week and it was an interesting concept as we could take sips from 2 drinks to play around with the flavours. ⁣ The blue slushie drink was creamy from vanilla tequila and had a bit of warmth from the ginger bitters, while the clear drink in the shot glass was fizzy, tangy and punchy⁣ ⁣ Highly recommend to visit since there are quite a few good bars around

Wyatt is without a doubt, one of the best bartenders in the world. All 3 gents working here were world class–do yourself a favor and stop in! This is the Golden Gai of Burning Man of Sydney. Unbelievable atmosphere and already the highlight of our trip! Try Now!

Google
Such a cool atmosphere, the cocktails were amazing, we tried their weekly special and the spicy margaritas - both were delicious. Drinks are about $25 each but worth it. It isn’t very spacious (but thats the whole vibe) so if you are hard of hearing or claustrophobic probably not the best spot! Attached some pictures of the vibes you will get.

Google
Incredibly cool bar. Shout out to staff members Jordan and Wyatt who were great at explaining the drinks and were very friendly. One of the most unique bars I’ve been to in my life. Hope to return when in Sydney.

Yelp
When I say I have never been to a hole in the wall bar (In the best way possible) trust me I haven't experienced anything like Cantina OK. When I got there I thought I was at the wrong place because it is a tiny spot in an alleyway. I'm not making this up Once the guys told me that I made it to the right spot I was extremely happy to see what they had to offer. First of all, they are a tequila bar "My favorite" so the cocktails are all tequila based. I had a few of their specials, one tasting like tomato which was insane and then the house Margarita and a few others. I will NEVER forget my time at Cantina OK. The bartender gave me a postcard with a nice note on it to end my night. I absolutely love this bar

Yelp
I try to be one of those people who doesn't fall for the hype, doesn't look at lists as the be all, end all of food and drinks but I'm not going to lie, I look at the lists and I try to visit a place if I'm in the place it's at. Cantina Ok! is clearly on one of these big lists. It doesn't help that my favorite liquor is mezcal either. I had to stop in. And oooooohhhhh I'm glad that I did. We pulled up around 455pm, 5 min before opening and were the only people there. They were just opening the garage door but they made sure to great us immediately (we weren't waiting near but they knew why we were there) and told us to come on in. The service here is impeccable. They ask your name and actually use it. They have actual conversations with you, about whatever topic lands. We got so much great visitor information from each person working. Ending up having one of the best meals in Melbourne because of it. The space is really small, standing room only. And if you're there long enough, you can see a line forming outside. After our second drink, we didn't want to take up more space so we decided to head out, but we never felt forced or like we should leave. I could come here after work everyday and have a Spicy Ok! I'm going to dream of that drink forever.

Yelp
I popped in here an hour after it opened one Friday and was clad I kept up the search for this place. It is a little hard to find, but just look down the alley and there it is! I was super impressed by the friendly service and the fact that both bartenders took time to call my by name and talk to me. I also chatted with a lovely couple from Melbourne who passed on some food and drink recommendations for the next part of me trip. This will be on my list of must sees for anyone heading to Sydney.

Yelp
Was recommended this bar by another bar tender in CBD. One of the coolest vibes I've experienced. Great drinks make sure to try the special. Worth the "hype" as the other reviews might say. Bar tenders will learn you name and make it part of their night to chat. Absolute hole in the wall which makes it better.

Yelp
Specializes in tequila and mezcale drinks. They were so smooth and well balanced! The meringue one was like drinking a nice soda! The bar itself is tiny but was an awesome experience. Bar tenders super friendly and chatty!

Yelp
Love everything about this place! As Americans, we are true margarita critics but the bartenders were able to really impress us! You will only find standing room and walk up service at this bar which is tucked away into an alley in the CBD of Sydney but don't let that discourage you. This is THE place for mezcal and I enjoyed watching the bartenders work their magic. Very experimental and playful cocktails with a true balance to the flavors and presentation. I would go here again and again

Yelp
Cantina OK, an offshoot of Tio's, is located at the end of a laneway and was, literally, a single car garage. Yep, it's really that small. The bar takes up almost have the space, the rest is standing room and there is no outdoor seating. Not a place for a drawn out session, more a margarita mercy dash. And on the topic of margaritas, these ones are very good. You get the added theatre of a large block of ice being shaved to fill the glass before the margarita mixture is poured over the top. They make 100's each night. Delicious. While that's all well and good, this place is really a mecca for all things mezcal, tequila's smokier, more interesting cousin. The guys go to Mexico each year and spend weeks sampling and curating a selection to bring back to Australia for your tasting pleasure. I don't think there is another bar in Australia with such a commitment to agave. Unfortunately good quality mezcal is not cheap, but you should definitely give it a go. The staff know their stuff, and can help you with your choice.

Yelp
amazing service. the bartenders were incredibly friendly and greeted us on arrival. introduced themselves and asked our names also. such a beautiful spot for groups under 3. the bartenders make conversation with you if you are alone which i think is amazing and super inviting. highly recommend

Yelp
A nice stop and go tequila-based watering hole. Great drinks. A bit hidden, but that seems to be the theme of most awesome Sydney bars. A++ would drink here again.

Yelp
Decent bar in CBD but it's quite hidden in an alleyway. They only have standing areas around the bar, and it was quite busy so was really cramped trying to fit a group of 7-8 inside, so don't come here expecting to sit down. I think this bar is known for their tequila shots but I went with one of their recommend beers. The beer I got was more malty than the ones that I usually drink, but had a nice rich flavor. Unfortunately I had a bit too much to drink before coming to this bar so it was a bit hard to stomach down all the alcohol.
