"One thing you’ll likely notice when walking the streets of Cuzco is how many places advertise pizza. If you’re dying for a slice, there’s no better spot than La Cantina. Primarily a wine bar—bottles of all-Italian vintages line the walls—this place also happens to serve the best pizza in town, with a delicately thin crust topped with ingredients like authentic salami, prosciutto, arugula, olives, a variety of cheeses, and more. You’ll also find imported meat and cheese plates, lasagna, bruschetta, and salads. If you’re lucky, there’s tiramisu at the meal’s end, plus artisanal limoncello. Go for the wine, but be sure to try the food while you’re there."

Tucked away on Calle Saphy in Cusco, La Cantina Vinoteca is the city’s first Italian wine bar, offering an intimate setting that transports you straight to the heart of Italy. The atmosphere is nothing short of enchanting, with a rustic elegance that invites you to unwind and savor the moment. It's always a warm welcoming when walking through the front doors. If you are looking for a warm and inviting atmosphere, it's hard to find better places in Cusco. With an impressive and well thought out wine menu, Rafaelle is always there to help you decide. The wine pairs well with a selection of pizza, lasagna, and custom cheese/meat boards. The food is fresh, and a single pizza is perfect for two. They also accept credit cards or cash.

I had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional Italian restaurant and it was an unforgettable experience. The cozy ambiance created the perfect backdrop for a delightful evening. Rafael, the owner, and the entire staff were not only friendly but also incredibly nice, making us feel right at home. Rafael's expertise shone through as he suggested a brilliant pairing for the extraordinary dishes, all crafted with fresh ingredients imported from Italy. The flavors were truly authentic and transported us to Italy with every bite. The wine selection was nothing short of spectacular, enhancing the culinary journey even further. And for those seeking a perfect post-meal touch, the options for digestifs like Amaro were a delightful surprise. Rafael's class and knowledge were evident in every aspect of our visit, adding an extra layer of sophistication to the evening. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough - it's a must-visit for anyone looking for an Italian dining experience that's truly top-notch.

What a delight surprise was the cantina! An extensive wine list from Italy at a decent price for a restaurant! The highlight for us was the food! The lasagnas were sizzling and superb! The bruschetta was also very tasty. All portions were also decent sized!

This place in the heart of Cusco Peru and found on Calle Saphy; La Cantina Vino Italiano is an Italian wine bar like no other! Raffaelle, the owner greeted us as walked in without reservations, and the staff quickly pivoted to find us a warm table out of the rain. "Where are you from and how did you find us, he's asked?" I respond, "We found you online and took a chance"...the conversation ensued... As we settle into the warm atmosphere and culturally diverse clientele, I feel so comfortable and at home. Our servers are so patient with our terrible Spanish as they respond with the best English they can muster. We meander through the menu, the first 12 pages being a best of wine list from Italy, "All Killer, no Filler" We start with a couple glasses of wine and some Bruschetta along with the Tavola Mista plate of choice cheeses and meats...We eat, we drink, we laugh we engage with another table of varying clientele and discover some new "instant"friends from Brazil. Raffaelle, checks in on us, offers some digestif, a homemade limoncello and finally we leave thinking we underpaid for this experience. I see why this place has stayed open and then expanded in it's 12 years and counting. A fresh idea for Cusco that's slowly catching on!! Myself and family highly recommend this place
