A beautiful place inside and out that has great food and well made, lovely drinks in faux crystal glasses...I broke my eating wings at a party rule there and I'm definitely going back to have lunch. The waitresses are very nice and such a welcoming atmosphere ⭐ I do have to say that I'm not sure why it seems to be a challenge for CV restaurants to get the Risoij filling quite the right consistency...

My wife and I went here because the other restaurant we wanted to try was closed. Never had cape verdean food before so we were nervous but we were pleasantly surprised. Got some empanada appetizers that were good, and I shrimp dish for our main. Nothing crazy good but a nice , light and flavorful late night dinner.

We just went for an appetizer. It was great service. We will come again

Authentic restaurant. People that eat there seems to know each other. Friendly atmosphere. I had the octopus with the house sauce. It was superb! Fresh and tasty. I'll definitely come back

First time experience a Cape Verde restaurant and it was very tasty.

Been to Cantinho too many times to count; it's a short walk from my house and is Cape Verdean restaurant with CV cuisine. Lately renovated, it looks so beautiful, with outdoor seating and a rooftop bar (though i haven't seen the roof open for business yet). Went for dinner with hubby on Saturday night around 6:30; was not busy and was sat right away without reservations. Food was great; only issues were that an item in menu we wanted wasn't available but still listed on menu. Also service was very slow; our waitress was also working the bar and kept forgetting us. I had to flag down other waitresses and also walk to bar to ask for our bill/pay. If it wasn't for this i would have given them more stars. I will still go back, hopefully service gets better but i'm kin of used it in the CV community

What a great place for this Irish girl to have traditional Cape Verdean dinner. Everyone was so welcoming and the food was out of this world. My husband could read the menu in Creole and I got to read it in English. If you like to try traditional means and great drinks This is the place for you

I've been coming here for years on in. 2024 upgrade is awesome but the service is horrible. I ordered online when I arrived my food was not ready, in fact my order was never put in. At this point I places another order inside with the bartender. waited 30 mins just to find out once again my order was not placed in. Great Food but Horrible service. I've came here many times on different days of the week but TUESDAYS will not be the day I will dine at this restaurant.

A hidden treasure. Don't let the plain exterior dissuade you. Great Portugués and Cape Verdean food awaits inside w modern clean atmosphere and very friendly prompt service. I had the chicken covered with shrimp -- delicious. Very pleasant walk from residential Oak Hill neighborhood of Pawtucket.

The food and portions were amazing, it was my first time trying CV food and I loved it.

I went to an event hosted here recently and was very happy with the food. It tasted delicious, whole, and like real Cape Verdean food, the way my Mom makes. Definitely recommend this place.

They need to get rid of a servant that has really bad customer service (Mimi) she is very ignorant and needs to pay more attention to her customers. As im trying to get her attention to pay my bill, she is ignoring me and talking to her coworkers about irrelevant things, took my credit card from me and didn't even say anything in response. Only word i got from her for the hour that i was there was "thank you" as im walking out the door. Business is good with good food. She made it less worth then it really is.

I don't know what the other reviewers of this are thinking, the music for this place is WAY too loud, and the cops have been called there several times. I used to live down the street and have seen more than one fight going on. If you want Portuguese food, go to New Bedford.

Where to begin... 730-Rez-13 ppl- empty restaurant. Overwhelmed waitress w zero experience. 30 min for drinks 45 for apps. 930pm half the dinners served. 950 pm a few more dinners served. Some were cold some were wrong. Awful experience.

The restaurant did not really seem 'Portuguese'. There were about 5 Portuguese items on the menu. There was an event happening when we were there so we ate from a buffet, which was disappointing.

I actually really like this place. They fixed up nicely and it has a solid ethnic feel to it. The food was very good. I had the red snapper... I'd definitely come back. They also have a live band too!

Came in for the Sunday brunch and service was terrible. Had to wait several occasions for clean plates and food to be available. Ordered toast and was told they couldn't make it due to being busy.

Cantinho serves delicious, authentic REAL CAPE VERDEAN FOOD. I love the bitoque. I eat here with my family all the time. The staff is friendly, and I love the live music.

What a great find. Nice friendly people, the music & food was good. I ordered the cachupa (to go) but stayed until close due to the fun I was having. You'll enjoy the music even more if you can dance cape Verdean style otherwise don't even try an get on the dance floor :-)
