Went here as a valentine's lunch and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delectable.
The staff was very attentive and gave us free bottled water.
The entrées (queijo de Nisa and croquetes com mostarda trufada) were quite good, but the star of the show were the main plates, red curry duck rice and codfish with explosive olives. They were both to die for, but the duck took the trophy home. It was succulent, tender, fragrant, and everything one could ask for, and the curry was deep yet smooth with a spice blend that brought it to a whole new level. The rice was the "simple" part, and yet somehow cooked to perfection and perfectly umami tasting, yet simple enough to contrast with the rich curry sauce. The eggplant and shallot in the sauce added to the experience with some variety and sweetness. The cod was equally well put together, beautifully cooked, tender and silky and with a contrasting crunchy mix of cabbage, green beans and croutons.
To finish, we had the chocolate cake with strawberry sorbet, which didn't blow us away. It was quite straight forward, a semi wet chocolate cake with some nice homemade-like real strawberry sorbet, but was still quite good and finished what was a great meal. Great experience. We booked with The Fork for 30% discount on food, and they forgot to put in the discount, but promptly corrected the bill once we brought it to their attention. Would definitely come back
