Canton Waterfront Park

Canton Waterfront Park is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore! I usually come here for WTMD’s First Thursday concerts, and it’s always such a great experience. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, the views of the water are beautiful, and the live music makes it even better. It’s the perfect place to spend an evening with friends, grab some food from the vendors, and enjoy the energy of the crowd. Highly recommend checking it out, especially during the First Thursday events!

Great place by the Baltimore harbor to see the water. There's all kind geese, ducks, seagulls and pigeons here. The water taxi stops here and can take you across and back. It's also the beginning of the red brick 'boardwalk' that goes all the way past the aquarium and to the other side.

9/11/2024 I happen to end up here after eating breakfast in the area and it was so relaxing and peaceful. The weather was perfect and so was the scenery, the only issue I had was none of the bathrooms was open even though the workers said it was recently fixed and someone else had to come open them. There's plenty of parking and a boat ramp it's also a great place to do some jogging or just walking.

If not for the people who didn't take all of their belongings with them when they left, and the ice cream truck man who gives people whatever type of nuts he chooses for their sundae, it would have been a perfect day on the water. Oh! Restrooms could use better lighting and the mirrors need to be replaced because you can't see in them. Probably a coat of fresh paint and having someone clean them in the beginning of the day Saturday and Sunday and more trash cans. Is glad to see for the most part people are using them.

It cost just $3 to drive in. Went there to represent ONE MORE ONE LESS MENTORING INC & Zenith mental health and autism services at a fishing clinic with LABF ( LUCKY AND BLESSED FISHING) We had a fantastic day with special need families and other sponsors. It's a great place to ca.pout, cookout, fish, commune and just enjoy nature as you fish!!!

It's a beautiful place to picnic, with wide open spaces and tree cover. You can pick up the free Harbor Connector to get to Locust Point, or the "pay" water taxi. First Thursdays concerts take place here in the summer. There is also a boat ramp if u want to put your boat in and spend a day on the water.

No matter what season this simple park doesn't disappoint. Nice views plenty of parking and most importantly my dog enjoys the area to sniff!

This was my second time watching a movie @ Canton Waterfront Park and again it was awesome. The movie was Beetlejuice 2 and the weather was just right for the evening.My grandkids loved it. I didn't particularly like the food truck option but next time I'll order pizza( cheaper option) for kids but all in all my grands are ready to go back next year

This park is substantively removed from anything that might be called Inner Harbor, but offers some interesting opportunities to view the fort and some of this ships coming through the waterway. It has a Korean War Memorial, some seating, and some pretty sketchy bathrooms, which I guess are better than nothing. One can walk continuously in either direction, and a dock for the water taxi which I've never used is at the waterside. The immediate area around the park had plenty to offer.

I live on the other side of the pond, so usually visit this park for a festival. I wish I lived closer because it seems like a nice place to be regularly active, walking, running, picnicking... Anyway, I've been to countless festivals here. Beer and music, and they've all been great. Sometimes it rains the day before I visit and the ground is gross and mucky but that's just nature being nature. It's fall now and past DST, so I think festivals are over for this year but I am looking forward to the festival season next year!

In addition to the word "Zoom", I'd like to add "picnics" to my 2020 vernacular. I don't think I've ever gone on as many picnics - heck, even said the word picnic - as many times as I have this year. Canton Waterfront Park is the perfect location for a socially-distanced one. There is plenty of green open space, trees for shade, and benches. You get great views of the water, dog watching, and just some good fresh air. You'll see people reading, fishing, running, recording vlogs (yep! lol), just about anything. We were able to easily grab street parking mid-day Sunday. It's hard to wrap my head around summer being over, but that means we'll just have some cool early-fall days to enjoy the outside.

While not the largest park in the area, Canton Waterfront Park is a great little park! It has access to the waterfront promenade and great views of the harbor. If you're in the area, include it in your walk or run!

You want a relaxing park with great views...???!!!?? Well look no further! This park has such amazing sun sets. There are several benches for you to take a moment and just allow it all to sink in. You will See a good amount of people biking, running or walking. The first time I was here due to a rave being held here. It was so lovely and open. While running through the area I realized there are some great areas to go and grab some food, there's plenty of areas to look at the water, and as I said before areas just to sit and relax. The landscape looks nice and the trash is very minimal, which is so nice especially for appeal but also because some people do bring their dogs. It's a switch of pace from all the fast moving of downtown. This is such a lovely park and I think if you need somewhere to just relax m, this is truly somewhere I would recommend!!

I was here for the VIP Baltimore Seafood Festival. I have to say we started off on the wrong track. This event started at 12 noon. We didn't arrive till around 1:15 or so. They still had a line which moved pretty fast. If you were VIP you received a bracelet. They had a tent that looked like any other white tent towards the back so that wasn't saying much. You received a glass and a swag bag and a ticket for your crabs from Captain James. Which was good crabs but the lady there was rude! She kept screaming out VIP Only!! So when l showed her my bracelet she looked at me like l was crazy and said l need tickets only . step to the side. How rude! They need to teach those volunteers some manners. If she was a volunteer. If it was only for VIP then that's where they should have been located. Then l wouldn't have to tote a half of dozen crabs back to the VIP tent. I'm just saying.. The crabs were good though despite that. The unlimited drinks was also good and refreshing. Which was located near the VIP tent. I think they should have offered a separate porta potty for VIP but that wasn't an option. We stood in the same long line as others. I think the maryland seafood festival in Annapolis Md is way more organized than this one. They still have some things to figure out. Overall l gave it three stars because l did enjoy myself and the weather was great. With a beautiful view of the Water.

Great park to have a picnic or just enjoy the views. During COVID people have been rude and leaving behind so much trash but other than that it's a great park and has great views of the water, boats, etc. We like to pick up food and eat it at the park, makes for a great little date.

Visited for the fleet week airshow which was free and awesome. Very nice waterfront park. I saw only one truck which sold ice cream and water and he was quite busy with the airshow crowds. There are a few nearby restaurants which could be used for takeout and taken to the park. There are bathroom facilities but very small with only 2 stalls. Huge lines formed at the airshow but 2 is probably fine for everyday use. Overall a very nice tree lined, waterfront park with great parking.

This is probably one of my favorite places in the city. Im honestly surprised it took me this long to write the review. In every city i live i like to find my special place that i go to think, to journal, to just kind of get away from the day and for Baltimore City this is it! its serene since its near the water, generally quiet and when there isnt an event held here i can always set up a good seat in the shade to read a good book or get caught up on podcast. The events here are always great, from the festivals to the yoga to the first thursdays there is something going on thats worth going to.

This was my second time on this side of the harbor! I came for Baltimore Seafood Festival and Canton Waterfront Park is beautiful. Some of the best sunsets I've ever seen in the city were from here. The salmon colored skies meet the blue (well kinda green-ha) water of the Baltimore Harbor. What a nice place to come and get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I always see people running and biking here. It's also near a bunch of restaurants in canton. On a perfect night, I'd grab food nearby and walk along the water to wind down the night. Actually, I'm going to do that soon while the weather is still nice. Overall, a beautiful place to see the city and to just relax the mind.

Really a gem of Charm City, Pop Up Yoga Baltimore and lululemon hosted one of the coolest Yoga sessions for International Day of Yoga on one of the freshest lawn in Baltimore on the first day of Summer. Did you know? Canton Water Taxi station has a station stop on a pier in Canton Waterfront Park.

One of the spots in the city I love to escape to especially when it's nice outside. A lot of people drive by on Boston Street and don't realize you can turn in here and relax/fish/walk along the water. This is also the same place a ton of events are hosted like First Thursdays (just ended last week, wahh). Sunsets at the park are great because you get a decent view of the Waterfront (obviously) and it's pretty tranquil and calm over that way. Not usually as crazy busy as the other public parks in the city. Plenty of parking in the lot and around on the streets if you ever have any issues with that. Long story short if you ever see a random dude sitting around with a Gameboy in his hands, it may or may not be me!

I don't know what else you could want from a neighborhood park on the water! I take offense to someone's comment about 'bums fishing', those are our neighbors enjoying the waterfront (hence the name Canton Waterfront Park). It's a great spot to take your dog for a walk, picnic or watch an airshow. My favorite event of the summer takes place here - First Thursday's! If you haven't attended I highly recommend it, the music is great and there are plenty of vendors to choose from.

This is a nice little green space on the edge of Canton. If you just want to come out and have a picnic by the water or kick a soccer ball around, this is a great spot. It's right off the main drag (Boston St) but it's bordered by trees so the road noise is minimal. In addition to being a nice park, there are many festivals here all year round: kinetic sculpture race, seafood festival, first Thursdays just to name a few. And the park is large enough that there is still ample green space to play in even when events are going on. The only real downsides (and this is pretty specific to parents of small children, like myself, and royally drunk folks) is that there is no proper fencing between the park and the very busy street or the water's edge (and no one wants to accidentally go into the water here). Pro tip: in addition to walking and driving, there is a harbor commuter boat stop here.

If you are in the Canton Area and you need a vacation from life... this is the place to go. It offers a good array of open space, benches, and tree shade during the hot Baltimore summers. Most days you can find plenty of people walking their dogs, playing with their children, taking the water taxi or just lounging around. Also the park has part of the waterfront walking/running trail, which is great. Within the park is the MD Korean War Memorial, which is neat to walk around. You will see random people fishing or whatnot, no one has bothered me to date and the park is not perfectly maintained but its not like you are sitting in trash... its a public park in Bmore... but these should not deter anyone. Lastly, the park is decently lit at night time, so if you are walking or running through, you can without having to wear night vision goggles. Overall, I love Canton Waterfront park, it offers alot of greenery, shade and water front views! Can't beat it!! So grab your picnic basket and sun glasses... Canton Waterfront Park is your staycation destination!!

I visited here for the 2015 Baltimore Seafood Festival. The weather was great and you could see clear across the harbor with the sail boats making for a nice backdrop. The various food vendors and food trucks were great. Not a lot of room to spread out and eat but if you bring a blanket or a travel chair it could work out in your favor. The variety of food was great. Jimmy's Seafood had amazing crab cakes with not a lot of filling, just luscious crab meat.

It was a beautiful day at the park on the late-June afternoon I visited. The water was sparkling and there is plenty of walking room along the pier. I brought the children along with me to enjoy an ice cream cone and a walk. As we sat and enjoyed our cones from the nearby ChickFilA, another family enjoyed their lunch. There were plenty of pesky birds, and a brave groundhog that ventured close to us. We were lucky enough to see some people crabbing and bringing up the coveted Maryland Blue Crab. What a great eco-lesson for the kiddos! It is a great place for a jog; runners jogged along the pier, dodging us walkers who were enjoying the scenery. There are plenty of benches along the way for lovers and friends, too. The dog park is large and had lots of grass. The only drawback was some of the trash that littered the rocks and path along the way. However, it's a great place to enjoy the view with your boo, or stop for your lunch break and gaze at the water from your car.

Again, I find this entry on Yelp a little strange to be on here but I guess Yelp will one day be all encompassing. This would never strike me as a destination spot unless perhaps you come to visit the Maryland Korean War Memorial or use the water taxi to go to the harbor. However, a lot of people come here to exercise their dogs, fish and crab in the harbor, and lounge and sunbathe. At night, I find the darkness a bit intimidating but I'm sure it is safe enough.

Fabulous views, easy parking and something for everyone to do! This is a really nice place in the city to just look at the water and think. I was here for a festival so it was really crowded but excited to return and maybe even fish!

Not sure what the hell happened to this place. It use to be nice and very well taken care of. Not so much anymore. Your usual collection of bums loiter around here, there is trash EVERYWHERE, and there is always some shady person trying to fish and expecting a huge catch. I am pretty sure it's free to launch a boat or watercraft here though. That's pretty much the only reason I'd come here.

Nice public offering in the city, but a little smaller than I'm used to (compared to, say, Wyman Park or Patterson Park). We came here since it was a starting point for the Step Out for Diabetes Walk (and, admittedly, it was really nice to have water views throughout the entire place). I can't see coming here for extensive recreation such as long bike rides or anything like this, but it's valuable for the boating aspect of things, if you're into that kind of thing. It is nicely kept up compared to other parks that I've seen. Rivals only St. Mary's Park in Seton Hill for maintenance and cleanliness. I still wouldn't use the restrooms here, because - well, it IS Baltimore after all. If they upgraded those facilities, it would be pretty much ideal. No idea about the safety aspect (especially at night) but.... hey, it's Canton for Pete's sake. It's not like you're taking a sojourn through Johnston Square or anything. Only the absolutely paranoid will feel unsafe here. Really. Not bad.

I love that this beautiful park is in walking distance from my house! As a dog-lover-not-current-dog-owner, this is a great place for dog watching (and people watching haha). It's also really fun to attend the events held here. First Thursday concerts in the summer are free, and have a ton of food trucks and drink tents available. The beer festival last year was also really fun, and I think there are a few other ticketed festivals (wine, seafood, others?) going on this year that I'm looking forward to!

Canton Waterfront Park is a great place to walk the dog, or sit and read, but that's about all. It's an open space for the community, and is the portal to the Waterfront Promenade.

We bring our dogs here everyday! It's amazing and everyone is so nice :-) love this place!

In terms of a public space, this place is tops. If you live in or around Canton, the park will obviously be one of the spots you'd head to for a wide variety of uses. It's great for exercise/pet walking/fishing/family time/picnics, etc. This park is a great place to see part of what Baltimore has to offer without dealing with the touristy trappings of the Inner Harbor.
