Great art collection, though not quite as expected. The building itself is interesting, but the exhibitions were just okay. Nice for a wander, but underwhelming given the scale of the space.

This is quite an interesting museum, it has an impressive architecture and the art is also quite interesting and diverse. For students they have great offerings.

The Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts in Lausanne is a must-visit every time I'm in the city. The facilities are outstanding, providing a perfect environment to appreciate art. The temporary exhibitions are exceptionally well-curated, showcasing a diverse range of artworks that keep me coming back for more. It is literally amazing! The huge building would itself defines a strong feeling; which inside is full art, classic and contemporary works. It is more about the experience. The whole art district is amazing. Don’t miss it if you are visiting Lausanne. It could be one of your best experiences ever.

It was a building with clean lines, built next to the tracks. However it’s not too big, and under-26s could visit for free. I paid 15CHF to visit the temporary exhibition. The permanent collections were on the right side of the museum and the temporary one (currently on tissage and textiles) on the left. There were a few interesting paintings on the first floor, though I have to admit I found the more modern stuff on the top floor less interesting. It was a nice visit, a good way to visit the building and also learn about local artists.
