Have been here twice. Not a large food selection, however for what they have, it's different from your ordinary hamburgers, hot dogs, and pulled pork sandwiches you find around the park. Food: We first tried the Chicken Pot Pie (forgot to take a pic). It was delicious. Chicken, creamy sauce, and veggies are poured over a phyllo-like pastry. Yum. Second time I got a Sloppy Joe which had just enough spice, but not overdone. It's not saucy like the original Sloppy Joe, but it was good. Husband had the Smash burger. He said it was the best hamburger in Yellowstone. Drinks: Got a Long Island Iced Tea. Had a headache the next day which usually indicates that top shelf alcohol wasn't used. My fault. I should have ordered something I knew had a particular alcohol in it. Second visit we tried the beer flight with the first four beers listed on their menu. My favorite was the Huckleberry Wheat Beer. The 307 Lager is nice and light. The Roaring Pika Amber Ale was a little bitter. If you like the Leinenkugel Summer Shandy or Grapefruit Shandy, you'll like the Shady NE IPA. Service: Crystal and Drennan did a great job taking our orders and bringing our food. Like any other restaurant or lounge, depending how busy it is, you may get fast or slow service at first. Food came out in a timely manner on both visits. Atmosphere: This lounge is located at the very end of the building. Would feel more like a lounge if they placed a wall between the lounge area and the rest of the the building. Many people try to bring their food over to this location, but there are signs on the tables to indicate that this area is only for those using the lounge. We will probably come back one more time before we leave Yellowstone.

This is the best place to eat/drink in canyon village. The bartenders are great. I loved my Shirley temple and pretzel sticks, they were excellent. Nice little lounge area where you can look out at the trees.

Don’t let the name “lounge” fool you. It is adjacent to the buffet food area, and more like a cafeteria ambiance. High top tables are communal, since they all seat 6 and not much seating. Not much food selection (light appetizers), but if you get the wings, they are very meaty! Not a lot of space to sit, and the bar servers aren’t very quick… The beer was cold though;)

Madi from California and Clark from Mississippi did the lords work all night serving us drinks and food. It is ridiculous how fast those bartending hands were slangin’ beers, cocktails, and delicious smash burgers. Kudos to the kitchen as well. If only they had a bar back to keep all that mixologist real estate from wastin’ time washin’ dishes. Thanks for the great night crew.

Every table was covered with dirty dishes, I had my daughter clear a table for us. The bartender was nice and prompt. Food was not good. I saw 3 staff near the side of the bar near the tables but only 1 was actually bussing tables. Very disappointed. It looks like many of the restaurants in the park were understaffed.

This review is for the lounge -- not the Canyon Lodge food service as a whole. DRINKS: Pricey but okay. Nothing particularly special. FOOD: A limited selection of bar snacks and nibbles, also very pricey -- such as a bowl of onion dip, a large handful of bog standard potato chips, for $12. Note -- some folk seemed to grab food from the cafeteria area and bring it over to the seats here. According to the signs, the tables were just for lounge diners. Made the atmosphere more chaotic than it needed to be. SERVICE: Friendly and present when needed, but a bit harried. AMBIANCE: The lounge is done up in some nice googie architecture to go with the redesign of the overall Canyon Lodge. Despite that, it felt overcrowded and a bit ramshackle. Unfortunately, in Yellowstone (and with the weird hours of all the dining establishments at the Canyon complex), there isn't much else of a choice if you want to grab a drink. Not inclined to go back, though, during our visit.

Had one of the worst dining experiences ever…No one bothered to ever showed us to a table… They took over 15 mins to even get our order…After multiple reminders, we received our water & drinks after another 20 mins…Waited for over 50 mins and still no food - we decided to finally find another place to get our dinner (And the atmosphere was also bad - dirty dishes everywhere and staff who didn’t seem to care) Expected to have a nice relaxing evening, after a good day at the park, at a decent lounge but turned out to be a horrible experience…Would recommend avoiding this place

Yelp
Wow, this place has changed significantly. No reservations, sit at a table and hope one of the two servers decides to acknowledge you. No entrees, just a short appetizer list and drinks. If you're just there for drinks, definitely sit or stand at the bar, as the bartender is very attentive and friendly. Don't count on draft beers - the first night they had 4 out of 6 available, and the second night they only had two, both of which were dark beers. We tried a couple of appetizers: - Smoked Trout Ravioli ($14): The ravioli was deep fried, not sure why. The trout filling had next to no flavor, and it came with a very chunky puttanesca sauce that also surprisingly had no flavor. Six raviolis and endless disappointment. - Three Cheese Fondue ($18): Came with Bison sausage, brocolli, grape tomatoes, and pretzels. The fondue was very watery and didn't stick well, but flavorful. Tomatoes are a strange choice. Bison sausage too, but it was unique at least. Wouldn't recommend. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially the beer flight (four 6oz pours for $9) if the taps are working. Cross your fingers that the Canyon Lodge Eatery line is short, order an entree there, and bring your tray to M66 for drinks. An employee also confirmed that you can also just take the drinks to the cafeteria dining area from M66.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. Three adults had 3 different cocktails and they were the worst we've ever had. Our appetizer was obviously microwaved and it was terrible. It's mind boggling how bad the food was. How do they do it??? We also got dinner from one of the cafeterias in the building. The roasted chicken was ok. I shouldn't have bothered with the roasted salmon. We knew it would be an overcooked brick and it was. The service was good though. No wonder the best rated "restaurants" in Yellowstone are the general stores!

Yelp
We went there for the trip to Yellowstone Nat' and we dined here that one night we stayed near the complex. To my expectation, the food was great here. Kind of comfort food. Well seasoned. Clean and not expensive. The porkchop, the wedge cut fries, the pasta were delicious. Great place to experience huckleberry desert. Great service. Polite and very friendly. Big Thanks to Anna, for your huckleberry story. We ended up buying a lot of huckleberry products. Very happy dining there. Note: pics to come.

Yelp
It's a national park, so don't expect five star dining. However, this is the closest you'll get. MAKE A RESERVATION! Otherwise you'll be lucky to get a table. Hard to get a group bigger than 8 people, so pick who gets to eat that night and who starved. Jk there are other options. Bison burger was a hit (duh) So was Mac and cheese Trout was good but a touch over priced Staff was great!

Yelp
The M66 Bar & Grill is a restaurant located inside the main cafeteria building at Canyon Village. Situated at the far end of the cafeteria, it is not fully enclosed into it's own space. Instead, it is partitioned off by various makeshift low decorative walls; therefore, it is just as loud as being in the regular cafeteria area. Actually, other than being blocked from the view of the main cafeteria, there is no restaurant ambience. The food here was ok. In comparison to the Old Faithful Inn Dining Room buffet and Mammoth Hot Springs Dining Room, I enjoyed the food here the most. We ordered one appetizer, Waffle Fries, and two entrees, Sauteed Red Trout and Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops. Our server was nice, but after placing our order, it took a solid 50 minutes before our food was ready. Surrounding tables all had to wait just as long. The wait was not worth it.

Yelp
As a fellow Yelper stated, this is Yellowstone. You're in the middle of bear country, don't expect Michelin dining. Having said, when planning our trip to YNP we knew we wanted a more formal sit down downing experience as our last meal. Our reservations were made months in advance. We were running late that night (distracted by animal sightings) and luckily had reception to call the restaurant to push our dinner out. Thank you, Allison! The food was much better than we had expected (we were hoping to try something other than rotisserie chicken, green beans and wild game chili). Three of us ordered the trout dish, the fourth ordered chicken. We all agreed the trout was better. The chicken could use more sauce. We also enjoyed warm apple galette. Overall, the restaurant experience was good and our food was satisfying. Our host Allison, our main server Patrick, our apprentice server April and bartender Maya were wonderful. The reason I knocked off one star was due to an incident that occurred. While leaving the restaurant, the gentleman in front of me held the door for me. I in turn held the door for the next two people. One other person in our party was on his way so I also held the door for him. While waiting for a member of our group, a very angry man in a yellow jacket and white hair walked up, said a few choice French words, and grabbed the door from me to close. He stated he was cold. Mind you, some folks were dressed warmly and others had on tees and he had on a jacket. I get it. I'm cold sometimes, but really? I stared at the crowd, and some seemed to disagree with what this person said and did but said nothing. The person I was waiting for saw all this and asked him why he did that. A few more words were exchanged. We left and the same angry dude ran after us yelling again. Now why the long story and the four stars? Although service was good, I wished someone from the restaurant would have said something when all this unravelled or when he ran after us. Neither the host nor the servers who witnessed it said a single word.

Yelp
Waited over an hour for the appetizers and when they came out the cheese plate was missing the alpine cheese. The soup that the manager decided to not serve to me looked like it came from another table. Took another half an hour to get our entrees. Mind you the restaurant was at about 3/4th capacity so they weren't that slammed. 1/5 scars

Yelp
Took two hours and the order was wrong multiple times. Best to eat elsewhere. It's overpriced as well. The food is similar to other restaurants in the area (same ownership), but poorly prepared. Eat at the Lake Hotel instead--the price is the same, and the service and quality are superb.

Yelp
As most people noted, expectations for dining in National Parks are usually pretty low, but I was really impressed with M66. You should call ahead to make a reservation as day of reservations are nearly impossible. You can show up right when they open and you will likely get seated but past 5:45 it's almost only reservations. The service was great! We got a Caesar salad to start which was huge so they certainly don't skimp on portions. My husband got the trout which was very fresh and I got the bratwurst. Overall, highly recommend eating here!

Laura D.

Yelp
We arrived here right as they opened for dinner and placed our orders right away. When the food was actually served to our table, or clearly had been sitting under a warmer for a long time. My son's mac and cheese had concealed into one big patty, my ravioli I had dried up one the edges that didn't have sauce on them, and my husband's bison burger was extremely dry. This place serves the same food as the majority of other restaurants we visited in the park, but it was the only one that the food was terrible. At all of the places, the food was very overpriced (which I would expect considering supply and demand, but at this price, the food should be prepared freshly).

Michael L.

Yelp
520pm restaurant was mostly empty. We asked how long the wait was for a table of 5 and they said they couldnt give a definite time.

Yelp
The food is good while the ladies at the reception is not. One point I felt the only reason I was treated that rude is because of my skin color. So surprised as Yellowstone has tourist come from all over the world.
