Canyon Roadhouse, Gondwana Collection Namibia

We just stopped by after visiting Fish River Canyon. It was quite interesting to see all of the vintage cars. They also do sell quite a lot of items and have meals available it you're interested. It was quite busy when we visited but was a nice place to check out.

American motel style with cars, old tools etc. Nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and professional. Safe car park and fuel station. Small pool area. Food at the restaurant with good choice and tasty. Rooms also nicely decorated, calm, tea and coffee station, large bathroom. We missed an additional plug to load e.g. mobiles. Good value for price.

We stayed in campsite 11 away from the hustle and bustle. It was very well setup and tidy. We loved our stay there. The food was absolutely Devine. Best burgers ever

Canyon Roadhouse is a one-of-a-kind stopover that feels like stepping into a vintage diner in the middle of nowhere. The main building is a visual feast - part bar, part restaurant, part shop, and reception - all wrapped in a bold, eclectic style. The entrance is flanked by creatively displayed car wrecks, adding to the roadhouse’s unmistakable character. The rooms are laid out motel-style, simple and functional, with nothing to complain about. It’s an ideal base for visiting the nearby Fish River Canyon, which is surprisingly quick to reach from here. For those staying at the adjacent campsite, there’s a short hiking trail leading up a hill that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Canyon Roadhouse is a memorable and practical choice for travelers seeking both flair and proximity to one of Namibia’s natural wonders.

Similar to a few other places in the desert outpost style, complete with rusty cars and assorted junk, but it is done well. The quirky decoration and landscaping is there to bring in the tourists, and it seems to work. It's busy, and there is a constant stream of people on their way to and from the national park. The service was pretty slow. We only had a coffee, but it was of reasonable quality, which was welcome given there are few other options around.

Second visit in 2 years. A great stopover with lovely comfortable rooms, great atmosphere in the bar area, quirky and funky! Cold beer and reasonably good food. Staff friendly and helpful.

Quirky and charming roadhouse not to be missed. Ideal for lunch after visiting Fish River Canyon viewpoint. Lots of fun stuff on display and cold beer.
