Definitely recommend this UTVing outfit! Wow, what a great experience UTVing in Utah at fins and things! Absolutely a thrilling, exciting, and fun ride with amazing views!! My husband and I have some wonderful memories of the awesome ride for our anniversary! Our guide Richard was fun, knowledgeable and he made the ride such an amazing experience. The front desk team made the check-in process seamless and we're very nice and friendly! Big thanks to all of you for making our ride wonderful! We look forward to returning in the spring with our whole family and look forward to seeing all of you again.

Google
Amazing Experience! We have been going to Moab since the late 90's and have seen the building for the tour, but was never able to fit it into the vacation plan. This year we said "let's give it a try" and so glad that we did. The dinner program that they have before the tour is very organized and the BBQ and side dishes were high quality, all the staff are friendly and really seem to enjoy what they do. Our tour guide kept the tour lively with interesting Moab and State facts while cracking a few jokes. The light show and music is simply amazing...no other words than that. We will be doing this one again! Thank you for such a memorable experience.

Google
Not quite what we expected: a dinner on the boat while sightseeing on the Colorado River. Plenty of free parking close to the venue. The buffet dinner with a SW theme was good in the banquet hall, and the boat tour was enjoyable, informative, entertaining, and relaxing. Just what we needed after a couple of hectic tourist days. Loved the homey vibe of the family business. Enjoyed the experience with spotlighting the cliffs, star gazing, and the overall quiet night time atmosphere. Would highly recommend to include this on any visit to the Moab area.

Google
We had a great time on this tour. Dinner was very good with lots of food!!! All of the staff were very friendly, they walked around during dinner chatting with everyone and thanking people for coming. Come to find it out this is a family operation and you can tell by how much everyone enjoys their jobs. The river cruise was fun and informative, Trisha, the tour guide, was witty and funny as she explained what we were seeing on the canyon walls.

Google
First of all you're greeted at the door by a staff person which happen to be an elderly man. He made us feel welcome and explained how things would go. When it was our turn to go in the next staff person explained about how dinner was going to go. Then we were seated. The meal was top quality. We were told to eat as much as we want. Everyone was polite. Then we went on the boat for the river cruise. The women was very knowledgeable about the area, very friendly and funny. The light show was very informative and excellent. The cruise was relaxing and spectacular. Thank you for an awesome time. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.

My family of 5 took a guided UTV tour (we drove 2 vehicles). Our guide Rich took us through the Fins and Things trail. We had a blast! The trail was very exciting, mixing rock crawling and climbing with some higher speed dirt riding. We took a couple of breaks (rest room, photos, stories), but they didn’t take much away from the time driving. Our trip was on Tuesday 9/30, so there was not many other vehicles on the trail. This was helpful in allowing us to go at our own pace. The booking, check-in and pre-tour instruction were all carried out very smoothly. Rich was courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all of our questions. I haven’t booked with any other companies in Moab, and I’d definitely book with them again!

Google
The family staff are very friendly and greet you kindly. The food was plentiful and the entrees just delicious! The narrator is descriptive and humorous and the Utah history is informative. The light show was unique and fun and the river ride calm and relaxing. It was a unique tourist experience and we really enjoyed it.

Google
Our tour was the highlight of our month-long trip. As a matter of fact, we just booked a second one for tomorrow to see Arches with the same tour company and tour guide, Sean. While we were two chickens to do the extreme tour, we did a 3-hour ride in the UTV through canyonlands and it was invigorating and spectacular. Plus, we learned so much that we would have never known if we just drove through the Kenyan lands paved road. We did that on our own the day before. Jenna at the front desk is wonderful and knowledgeable about the area, too. This is a must do!

Yelp
Off road lovers would love these trails. Stunning views but honestly not a ton for kids to actually DO besides look over edges and drive. The little dinosaur footprint area was cool for 10 minutes. After two big hiking days at Arches, our kids were bored with the long car stops and short walks to viewpoints. If we did it again we would split Canyonlands across multiple half-days instead of one full day, or just accept it's more of a scenic-drive park with children.

Yelp
We did the Canyonlands by Night river cruise on the Colorado River and really enjoyed it. The evening started with a buffet-style dinner at long banquet tables. The food was decent and there was something for everyone. The dining room was large, clean, and bright, and everything ran smoothly. After dinner, we boarded the boat and headed up the river. Our guide was great -- he pointed out rock formations, shared history, and kept things interesting along the way. On the return, there was a light show projected onto the canyon walls, plus some stargazing with constellations and even satellites pointed out. Overall, it was a smooth experience that combined entertainment, history, and a touch of culture. We really liked it and would recommend it.

Yelp
Won't return. A canteen style and  buffet dinner in a big hall with rows of long tables, on the Colorado River. Door opens at 7pm. Love their green cotton napkins. After dinner we waited around for our light show cruise, boarding at 8pm. The sun sets at 8:30.   The flat bottom boat sails smoothly on the shallow Colorado River. It's a marvelous evening with clear skies that filled with stars, large and small. Elon Musk' Starlink made an appearance, which is the highlight of the night. The light show? What light show? As we're getting back on shore, at the top of the stairs, there is a big can for tips (the staff has mentioned this before the end of the cruise), front and center. It's a little uncouth and bit inconvenient for the flow of the traffic. I don't see anyone throw in any bills. This dinner cruise is an optional choice from our tour company, that reads "Optional: Evening Boat Tour on the Colorado River with dinner". The cost is $119 per person. I didn't get the sense that the dinner is NOT served on board. If I knew, I would not have booked this option. At our trip orientation, the tour manager explained that we would be bused to dinner first then get on boat. A truck projects light onto the rock formations from Route U-128. The sound system on the boat is like school PA, and competes with the running motor of the boat. The female staff (or owner?) on the boat said this is a family run business. I think any business, regardless of family owned or not, needs to do a good job to earn costumers' support. If this company's main clienteles are tourists like me, returning seems mote. Perhaps it's the travel agencies is their main customer.

Yelp
So we tried again and it was wonderful. The food was just as good as last time. This time the weather was beautiful. We loved the river trip up anf the information and even the dad jokes were very fun. The light thing and narration was a little slow. We actually loved it when it hot darker and we just floated down the river with just music. Make sure you take bug spray as they were thick.

Yelp
Had an amazing time would highly recommend this tour. The food was very good and the lights shining on the huge canyon Walls with music was awesome. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And all the stars I saw and satellites in the sky , is experience you won't wanna miss.

Yelp
Amazing group of horses and wranglers! Fantastic direction on "Get to know how to handle your horse". Fun conversation from the wranglers throughout. Book a day here and kiss Reno for me!

L H.

Yelp
I'm honestly so disappointed. The only reason it has any stars at all is that the food was okay. This is the biggest rip-off I've ever been tricked into booking. This isn't even a light show--it's the most bizarre, uncomfortable seated boat ride I've ever experienced. To make matters worse, the heavy overtones of the Mormon religion are pushed repeatedly throughout the experience. and way way too long!
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this boat trip, The meal was tasty and the river was beautiful. The light show was OK, but it was just great to be on the river. The staff was accommodating and service oriented. This is a unique Moab adventure.

Chris M.

Yelp
I had several serious concerns regarding my experiences with this activity. I will say the food was good although the dessert size was extremely small. Less than a quarter cup of an apple pie. the staff were extremely friendly and pleasant and the program was well run. My concerns are the recorded narrative. It was very bias, it did not reflect the challenges and devastation that the indigenous people faced at the hands of the Mormons. The narrative placed all the blame on the indigenous people. The Mormons and pioneers had taken their lands forcefully and brutally. I was very appalled that information was being presented.

Yelp
Leo and Luke were fantastic guides and made the trip very enjoyable! This was the first time me and my husband have ever zip-lined and now, we're hooked! Great views and definitely great for beginners or experts!

Diana A.

Yelp
We thourgly enjoyed the evening. It was very well organized, clean and bright. The crew were friendly and helpful, trying to be sure we all enjoyed our trip. there was plenty of food and beverages, even wine, beer and liquor, for an extra price. The river trip was great, very informative and tastefully done, the light show was spectacular and the music moving , I especially enjoyed the narrative. Thank you guys, job well done.

Yelp
Looking for a fun way to spend the evening while visiting Moab? This is a good option that offers a full experience with dinner and a show. You can start out the trip with a cowboy style dinner that offered salad, sides, and barbecue and additional option to buy adult beverages. The family has been doing this for decades and the operation runs as smoothly as you would expect for that longevity! From the moment we were greeted by smiling, happy people, to the well prepared and tasty food - what more could we ask for? There is plenty of time to eat and visit with others at the long tables you are seated at then you are guided to line up to take your seat on the boat in a quick, orderly manner. From there, the fun begins with a guide who will inject a good amount of punny and funny jokes along the way but, also includes a lot of history about the area and exploration that took place through the years. Being on the river at night with the light show, narration, and music all add up to an enjoyable experience and some good photo ops along the way. Great option for a fun outing for families or couples.

Chris K.

Yelp
Where do I start other than conveying how pleased my wife and I were with Mikalyla, Mikayla AND management for providing exceptional customer service!!! A last-minute unexpected occurrence just before our participation in the buffet and boat experience resulted in me not being able to enjoy the boat experience with my wife, who very much enjoyed it without my accompaniment. Mangement provided a refund for me - on very short notice due to a very unique occurrence. Great organization - highly recommend the buffet and boat experience!!!

Yelp
The food was fantastic and the staff was super friendly. The religious message of the tour caught me off guard. While not pushy, I did find it disrespectful of the native people and seemed to point that your particular religious group is the fulfillment of Gods plan for the land.

Kelli L.

Yelp
Had a great time with out Tour Guide Michael. This is a fun family activity. It offers some great opportunities for pictures from the river. It was a great way to end our night. The food was good. The people were friendly. The jokes were corny, which was perfect for our family. After you get done with thrilling day time activities, this is a great way to wind down. Also consider using this company to book all of your activities. And if you stay in one of the hotels that share the parking lot with Canyonlands by Night, you don't have to drive anywhere. Next time we come we will know to book all of our adventures with them!

Dee D.

Yelp
As an older couple, the Dutch Oven Dinner and Cruise was perfect for us. The dinner presentation was fun and the river cruise was beautiful. Seeing the canyon walls at night was more than we expected. The coordinated lights enhanced the cruise and stories.
google avatar

Yelp
FANTASTIC from the start with a very nice dinner to the end. So SAD that CHEAP ASSES do not tip. I was one of the first people off and stood 10 feet from the 'tip bucket' so I could see how many of the 150+ people would tip. SEVEN people left a tip...........so SAD there are so many cheap assess around. You very large staff deserves more recognition and cheap asses do not realize it or are just to cheap to care. WOW. Or they're really stupid. I lean toward that they're stupid combined with being cheap! Again, great presentation.

Sandy L.

Yelp
We are New York City folks that went to Moab for a week. After 6days of active hiking, a local recommended us to try out this night tour where they shine lights on the rocks as you float down the river. The tour starts first at 5pm where you eat a buffet lunch at their building structure right at entrance of Moab. I was surprised at the quality of food. Juicy BBQ shredded meats with a simple salad bar. Then they let you digest and about 90 people get on a flat boat to begin tour. It has a live guide for one hour til it gets dark. The live guide is absolutely hilarious and I appreciated all her wholesome corny jokes. Then they shine lights on the canyon walls and a recorded program starts. They do shut off all the lights at various points and you get amazing star gazing views . You should check the weather forecast for cloud covers before you book trip. Over all while the recording program may feel kooky to some, we thoroughly enjoy the tour and would recommend friends and family. Nice touches they add was giving us the blankets and hot chocolate. It's really cold on the river so wear multiple layers.

P M.

Yelp
People were friendly. Cruise was just floating on the river. Views were nice. Dinner was cafeteria style and not the good. We would not recommend it for the cost.

Yelp
First off, I wasn't sure what to expect as I didn't even look to see where they UTV trip would take us. When we arrived the decision was made to go through Hells Revenge. Being a first time Moab visitor, I knew nothing of the surrounding area or the names of places, but I was ready for the journey! Richard was our guide and man did he take us on a ride! He's a great spirited individual, very thoughtful and thorough. He also gave us a little history of the times. The trip was intense, nothing but smiles and dirt in the teeth! The view is one I will never forget. Canyonlands by Night delivered! Thank you Richard!

C.S. H.

Yelp
We had dinner here as part of a reunion group. We did not sign up for the boat ride. I felt the dinner part was slightly unorganized. The "salad bar" had a bowl of prepackaged salad mix, a bowl of pasta salad, tomatoes, carrots and dressing. Not very appetizing. The dinner was a small spoonful of corn, beans, choice of small piece of chicken, pulled pork, shredded beef, some kind of potatoes and a cold roll. For the price we paid for dinner, I was expecting something a little better honestly. The "dessert" was an extremely small bowl (more like two spoonfuls) of apple crisp I think and whipped cream. The staff at the bar was extremely nice and pleasant. The workers serving the food barely spoke two words and didn't look happy at all. Overall, I wouldn't return to for the dinner and boat ride, it's just not worth the money.

Matt S.

Yelp
We started off with a high note: a nice guided van tour through Arches NP. That was a 5-star, hands down. Our week in Moab fell apart after that. Only an hour before our much-anticipated jet boat fun run was set to embark, the company canceled because of the captain's medical emergency. Of course, an emergency can happen; we can't complain about that. However, the company had no contingency plan, and this was our last day. They should operate with a back-up so they don't screw up a lot of customers' plans. Of course, they refunded our fares, so they still get 2 stars. What a bummer to end our trip!

Yelp
Overall really beautiful and enjoyable. The narrator felt and sounded like he voiced the pacer graham fitness test and was archaic. The food was surprisingly delicious.

Lauren P.

Yelp
The staff was nice and the food was fine, but the dinner setup felt restrictive--assigned seating right next to others despite plenty of open space in the building. The light show and narration was very outdated, overly religious, and dismissive of Native American experiences. The light show was boring and didn't show much besides lit up rock at night. The guide's live commentary was far more engaging; I'd recommend letting them lead the whole tour. A shorter format with one hour for dinner and one for the guided tour would have been way better for a smaller price. Overall, not worth the price and would not recommend.

Terry Z.

Yelp
Great staff. Everything was awesome from the delicious food to the educational information and of course the well timed light show! I would highly recommend this for a great night out in Moab.
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
We did the evening tour with dinner and lights. The food was okay, something's better than the others but good overall. After dinner we headed to the boat for a short leisurely cruise up the Colorado River. The narrator seemed to be knowledgeable about the geography off and on the river. She had a pretty good sense of humor and was entertaining in that regard. The total time on the boat was about two hours. Very leisurely. Half the time was with a taped narrated program including stories and music. At the same time a truck ran parallel to the river shining a very bright set of lights on the walls above the river. This was interesting but not a light show . It might be wise to invest in an updated light show using lasers. By the way, my wife loved everything about the show and boat ride. That played a big factor in my rating.

Tammy J.

Yelp
The dinner was fun & wonderful. We had a lovely evening. The river was really calm & it was a beautiful night. Warm. There were a lot of fun facts & interesting history given on Moab & the rock formations. I would do this again. Was truly worth our extended stay in Moab to participate in the experience.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Brandon was our Captain on our trip. He was very knowledgeable about the area as he has lived here his entire life. The dinner afterward was excellent. We would do this trip again!
google avatar

Reeda W.

Yelp
We did the dinner and River cruise. Starting with the Dutch Oven grub that was over the top with all the refills you want. The boat cruise was really nice with highlights of the canyon pointed out. After dark, we were able to see stars that I rarely get to see. We saw satellites and Star Link, which I hardly remembered existed! The whole event very enjoyable. I highly recommend planning this event as part of your Moab stay. I would do it again.

Leslie B.

Yelp
They made our wedding so extra special! They let us reserve the patio spec for the wedding rehearsal. We had the wedding rehearsal dinner there and we invited all of the wedding guests. It was such a spectacular location, right on the Colorado River. The food was amazing too and there was a ton of it. We really appreciate the staff too. They are such super nice people and bent over backwards to make the evening superb. Thank you all so much. We can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Jo W.

Yelp
The guy who goes out as the lead tour guide is RUDE! We were out in our Jeep with about 10 other families and this guy acts as though he OWNS the trails.

Chris S.

Yelp
For starters - invest in a new tape that doesn't call Native Americans - Indians repeatedly. It is 2024. Get with the program. The Colorado Dinner Cruise with Music and Light Show is NOT a dinner cruise. You eat a buffet dinner at long tables with folding chairs with the other patrons. The food was not bad (four choices of meat and the BBQ beef was tasty). The servers who plated the food for you as you stood in line were friendly. Super efficient set up The boat ride was OK. The sister wife (her words not mine) was entertaining and informative. When the "light show" and preprogrammed tape started - I prayed that after God created Light and saw that it was good - that God would please hurry the boat ride up. The light show is a truck shining a bright white light on the rocks. Lasers aren't pricy - they could update the show (and stop calling the Native Americans Indians please). Best part of the boat ride was when they turned both the music and light off and you could enjoy the stars. It was peaceful. If you are older or have mobility issues - this isn't a bad tour but do understand it isn't a dinner cruise and it is a very low tech light show (a truck shines lights on the rocks). The pre program chat as we waited for the sun to set was informative and entertaining. Lots of good information was shared.

Nakali M.

Yelp
Visiting with limited time was a regret! Four out of four of us did not care for the show and would have preferred to stay at our hotel to sleep. We just felt that the story was outdated, slow and underwhelming. Frankly, today's kids would be bored. Nice concept, but needs help. On a positive note, food was decent and the staff was nice.

Sam M.

Yelp
Super friendly persons providing an interesting trip on the river. Food was really good and service kept things flowing quickly. The light show added new dimensions and highlights to the canyon walls making the formations really stand out. The only sad part for us was it was a cloudy night so no stars. The stars were not essential for an enjoyable experience but certainly would have taken it to higher level. After hiking during the day, floating below gave an additional opportunity to enjoy Arches. Huge shootout to the staff for going above and beyond in customer service.
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
The tour was so nostalgic of times past and gave a wonderful and peaceful view as they lit up the canyon walls around us. To be out on the water and soak in the stillness while looking at the stars was fantastic!
google avatar

Hamp B.

Yelp
Very fun and unique experience - Possibly the highlight of our cross country trip! The stories were informative and interesting, and the light show was entertaining and tasteful. The guides were excellent and very kind to my elderly father. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Oh man, not sure how to review this place but I'll give it a go. The meal we ate before we left (as part of the tour) was actually one of the best meals we ate in Moab this week. Tender beef, chicken was a bit dry though, but the sides were all great. The coleslaw was my absolute favorite. It was so sweet tasting. The Apple crisp had a great taste but it was room temperature; it would've been so much better warm. But overall, great meal. Preston greeted us so kindly. The activity: hmmm. I'm not really sure what we saw. It was cool at first. Preston, our guide, answered all kinds of questions about the rock walls surrounding us and the history of the geology around us. It was really cool. Then when it got dark, the "light show" was basically some guy driving in the car next to the River we were in, shining a light on the rocks as we listened to the history of the creation of the world for 30 minutes. It was kinda weird, not gonna lie. Hence the 3 stars. But other than that last 30-40 minutes, it was a great 3 hour evening activity.

Shannon D.

Yelp
This was an anniversary gift for my parents. They loved it!! Said the food wasn't bad and enjoyed the star lit night sky. We want to go ourselves next time we are in town.

Merritt W.

Yelp
An absolutely delightful experience. The buffet dinner was very good, particularly the salad bar, salad dressing and roast beef. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. As to the cruise, the background information provided about the area and rocks was interesting, and the lighting was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it. As to improving things, I'd suggest that the light truck also use colored lighting on the rocks. It would enhance the experience. Finally, our guide was Izzy and she was perfect for the role, down home and a great smile. Merritt Weisinger Spanish Springs (Sparks), NV

Russ S.

Yelp
Amazing! Across the board. Food was great. Atmosphere was friendly like a big family reunion. The boat trip after dinner was so beautiful. They have the process down to an art, from how they seated us, fed us dinner, to the stories they told and information they gave on the boat ride, to the use of lights on the walls to the way the captain played the river to add a beautiful views throughout the experience.
google avatar

Diane N.

Yelp
Overall it was a wonderful experience and a nice activity to go to toward evening time in Moab. Buffet was okay, was expecting real BBQ. My favorite part was the starry night view and the tour information.
google avatar

Moonrani B.

Yelp
First, the positives - The staff and tour guide were very nice. The first part of the tour was interesting. Really cool to see the canyon from the river. The end was lovely when the program was over and the music was playing while we gazed at the stars. Now the bad - The food was terrible. Iceberg lettuce salad with wrinkled cherry tomatoes and carrots. Corn out of a can. The beans were good, the chicken was not white meat as I was told. Dessert was ok. We wound up having to stop for food afterwards because we were still hungry. The program that runs with the light show was freaking HORRIBLE. The religious aspects of the program and racist overtones toward Native Americans was disgusting. Part of the story was not appropriate for children at all. It ruined the entire experience. Friends are going to Moab later this month and we warned them against taking the tour. What a shame. Waste of money for a very disappointing experience.
google avatar

Giselle B.

Yelp
It was very outdated! If you don't pay attention to the story and just enjoy the night sky you can have a pleasant time. My family didn't like it.
google avatar

Tracee C.

Yelp
This experience was awesome! It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Moab. The food was very good and boat ride was so fun. Capt Ron and Tasha and the whole crew did an amazing job. A must do you will not be disappointed!!!!

Cindy P.

Yelp
We enjoyed our evening on the river and the lights along with the narration! Only thing they should consider -- buy a microphone and speaker and announce prior to entering about bathroom and it's a buffet--taking each person and repeating the same directions seemed pointless to me-- just make a general announcement-- The food was good and the employees were great too! Enjoyed the lady (sorry forgot her name) was very funny narrating our trip! For a nice relaxing evening I highly recommend doing this!!

Jeanette K.

Yelp
We had a great time! dinner was very good and the staff were super friendly and helpful! the guides on the boat were very informative and had a good sense of humor. they made us feel welcomed! I would highly recommend this tour. It was a great value for the money!

Yelp
We did the 2.5-hour Fins & Fun UTV excursion today. We had a blast. After 3 days of hiking National Parks, our young daughters were ready for something different. Our guide Richard was great; friendly, safe, and very accommodating of our daughters.

Rhea F.

Yelp
To the guy in the Honda Talon on Thursday on Fins n Things trail who had 1 other side by side with him..... very rude and obnoxious and cutting others off and telling them to get out of his way instead of waiting for others on the trail. I will never recommend this company to any one !

Yelp
Was Absolutely Fantastic atmosphere, Dinner was Awesome Captain Ron & The Whole Staff are so knowledgeable about Moab .Recommend Highly
