I have to say, this was a really great stay! It’s truly a hidden gem in the middle of nature. The service was excellent as well, with a kind and welcoming host. Still, after some thought, I’m giving it 4 stars. While I understand and appreciate the concept of an open-plan space, it has to function well. We found the smell from the pipes/toilet — although it was very clean — a bit too noticeable. When you’re paying a premium for a nature getaway, you don’t expect a sewer-like smell. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it did bother us. Also, we had to leave early on our last day and couldn’t join breakfast, which only starts at 8:30. We were offered to pack breakfast the day before in Tupperware, which was a fair solution, but of course not the same quality as the fresh breakfast we paid for. All in all, still a lovely experience you won’t regret!

The cabin is smaller than expected, which is fine. However, the room very humid and no dehumidifier is provided, like in every other places we stayed in Azores. In this case, when it’s raining and also sometimes after a shower (no door in the bathroom), everything feels extremely damp, even the bedsheets, blankets and pillows. There is an AC but it doesn’t work as well as a dehumidifier. Because the cabin is located in an area with a lot of mosquitoes, open the window is also not an optimal solution. Nevertheless, the service is very friendly and the breakfast offers a lot of fresh fruits and local products, so I would give three stars.

We didn’t stay here but had a tour and the site is set into a hillside with 6 ‘treehouses’ and one house with a gorgeous pool. The cabins are beautiful and the community space is very modern and inviting. The whole place is a tropical paradise!

Where do we begin...? All of a sudden you're at a dead end next to a magical forest. You look up and see nothing but greenery and MASSIVE TREES. Truly a beautiful place. Cabins were small but just the right size. Could have used some slippers or sandals in the rooms as It did get a little dirty with our shoes and walking around the grounds. Everything was clean. Pool was salt water and felt amazing under the trees. Great view of the water as well. We had a night where it rained which felt amazing to sleep over night. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful when needed. Breakfast in the morning was ABSOLUTELY FRESH AND LOCAL FOODS only. What a touch! Great place HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5/5****

We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept and it is a magical place, a little house in the forest. We had the unit at the end of the property, overlooking the ocean. It might be compact but if you love nature, this is the place. Breakfast was delicious, served by a couple of cheerful ladies and everything was clean. The garden where the houses are is beautiful, the town is at the bottom of the road and they have the best natural swimming pool, teeming with fish, shrimps and other sea life. We would happily stay here again.

We were a group of 4 couples. We each had our own private house on stilts. The rooms were beautiful yet simply appointed - with everything you could need. We arrived just after 1pm after 24 hours of travel. Carla and the amazingly friendly and helpful staff prepared a special lunch for us which was a delicious introduction to food on Terceira. Everything about the lodge is thoughtful and beautiful. It is also a great location, within minutes of the beautiful pools of Biscoitos and no more than 25 min to almost everywhere on the island. We couldn't have asked for a better start to our Azores adventure!

We stayed in the family house, and it has a problem with moisture in the walls. The owners are trying to remove it with a machine but its a work in progress. The cabin itself was perfect for a family of 4, nice garden to relax in. Good couch and nice beds. Its fully equipped and coffee and thee is available. Breakfast is very local and good. The pool is nice and the whole environment is very relaxing. I definitely recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised with the lodging options available in Terceira. This Ecolodge is a small & unique Lodge that offers several wood cabins and a villa. Each cabin has artwork from different artists. I did not find it particularly suited for a family, given the cabins are beautiful but quite small. It was fun staying there, and I must say breakfast was very good, but a couple of issues should be taken into consideration: there is no restaurant nearby, so you will need a car. Mind heavy luggage, you will carry it up the woods until your cabin. The walkway is slippery, and it rains a lot - yes, all the time. We managed a quick swim in the pool, which is as nice as it is photogenic. There were no pool towels available for the three of us, only one. We had some coffee on the cabin, that we used, but they did not have more to provide us with, although they have a small shop next to reception, which for me is inconceivable, as well... I like my coffee. And I don't mind paying for it. Friendly, interesting, different, but with some small issues to solve.
