Google
Attended the unveiling of Ralph Mencini's "Mocha" and was very impressed with this museum and grounds. Cape Cod artists are featured. They make good use of their small building which is on the same property as the Dennis Playhouse, Movie Theater and The Encore Cafe. Gift Shop.

Perfect size to spend a bit of time and enjoy wonderfully curated art works on a short vacation. Docents are engaging and warm.

What a great visit and a great series of exhibits. The motorcycle section is quite amazing really with some spectacular bikes to view. Many pieces throughout that are quite special as well. I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area and interested in such things.

Google
A really lovely little museum. If anything a wee bit too small. A lovely sculpture garden and a top notch gift shop. The staff are helpful and engaging.

Google
A wonderful art museum focused on local Cape Cod artists. The vintage motorcycle exhibit in Summer 2024 was outstanding. Definitely worth the trip from anywhere on the Cape.

We went to a concert there of Billy Holiday's music. The vocalist has a wonderful voice! A personality to match. The pianist was a Berkeley College of music professor of piano. What a delight to not only hear but to watch him play. He and the singer had a nice raptor with one another which only added to our enjoyment.

Great spot to spend an hour inside. Might also spend an hour outside enjoying the sculpture garden. The gift shop is full of unique items.

My family and I have been coming to the Cape for a long time and last year was the first time we came to The Cape Cod Museum of Art. We had a wonderful time. I wish we would have known about this little gem before. The staff and artists are such lovely people. It's definitely on our list to come back year after year. Thank you to everyone that makes this possible.

Yelp
Great shows , nice gift show, great collection and effort to provide opportunities for local artists and students . Oh and good variety of classes.

Yelp
Saw beautiful exhibits and pieces, mostly by talented local artists. When in the area, always worth the visit.

Yelp
The museum is fine but beware if you are taking any classes here. I signed up for a pottery class & then my husband got Covid so I didn't go to class, then I tested positive myself and was very ill so I didn't go to the next 2 classes. They refused to refund me even though I did the right thing to not put anyone in danger & followed CDC guidance. Very disappointed with them.

Yelp
Just stroll gardens if don't have time, grounds lovely! Exhibits are small but pack a punch of good local art. Some remarkable pieces here. Gift shop is incredibly curated.

Yelp
We looked at this site as a potential wedding site and didn't choose it, but liked it a lot. Ceremony area: I think usually people use one of the big gallery rooms, probably the one with the piano. The galleries are both beautiful. There is a little sculpture garden and glass-enclosed area that you could have cocktails in. Smaller weddings could have the ceremony in the sculpture garden Reception: You could have it under a tent outside on the lawn in front of the building or in one of the gallery rooms. Dancing has to be back inside after 10 pm. We were planning a 150-175 person wedding, and we would have had to split the reception between the two galleries. The rooms connect and open to each other, but they would be in separate spaces. This was probably one of the biggest factors in not booking the venue. Pricing: Summer (June through September) is $2500. Rest of the year, $2000. Pricing includes space only. Overall: Space is beautiful, the coordinator is extremely warm and friendly. It would be a great place to have a smaller wedding, especially for an art-focused crowd.

Yelp
Love, love, love this gem! Try to visit as much as I can when I'm home, as the collection rotates a fair amount. Great local pieces and a few rare highlights. Very much worth a trip!

Yelp
The paintings here are some real gems. But the people who work here are very protective of the paintings. No photography is allowed. There's a sculpture garden outside. It's off of 6A. Look for the tiny little sign that says 'Cape Cod Museum of Art'.

Yelp
It's a fun place to visit - even our kids (boys 9 & 12) enjoyed it. They have a new metal work installation allow the entrance way that is really fun and whimsical. Our youngest son did the Art Camp this year and had a blast. It's a great way to spend an hour or two doing something non-beachy.

Yelp
Great museum with a fantastic art glass exhibit currently on. They have a lot of different exhibitions at different times of the year. There is also a permanent exhibition of paintings and pottery. It is not the largest museum in the world, but the perfect size for cape cod. They had art glass by Chihuly, Toots Zinsky, Lipofsky and many more glass artists. A wonderful exhibit. There is also a gift shop, but it was closed when we got there. I imagined it would have the same hours as the museum, but I guess I was wrong. Very friendly and helpful staff. Memberships available. It is right next door to the cape playhouse. Check out what the current exhibit is and go.

Yelp
This is a very good regional museum that exhibits the work of living and deceased artists from Cape Cod & the Islands. Many different styles of work are represented. I was really impressed by the knowledgeable staff and friendly volunteers, as well as the great curating. Don't miss their sculpture garden! They also offer a wide array of excellent educational programs. They're open year round, too.

Yelp
The new Ocean:Us exhibit is tremendous. My friends and I stopped in yesterday during Xmas Stroll. This museum is a gem in historic Dennis Village.

Yelp
A must-see stop when traveling to the Cape. Great collection of local artists and some nice outside work as well. Many interesting classes are held each year.

Yelp
On the morning of October 15, 2016 the CCMA closed its doors to the public for the first time in their history so we could hold our sons wedding where every branch of the US Military was represented. Our son is a fighter pilot in the USAF and his new bride is on her way to flight school soon. Our daughter in law was in Afghanistan throughout the planning process and Judy and staff made everything so easy for her to plan this wedding from so far away while she was serving our country. The Saber Salute on the front steps was beautiful. The The ceremony went off without a hitch, everything was wonderful! Thank you CCMA and Judy for the wonderful venue, your help and your patience! Yelp
Unexpected variety and quality for a local museum. Frequent exhibit changes and knowledgeable staff. Also a great place to host an event.

Susan R.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this museum. It had a special exhibition of Plein Air Artists. Really exceptional paintings. Would have purchased 4 or 5 if they were available. It had special section with a collection of artists/mentors pieces and details about each artist and mentor.

Yelp
What a great collection for such a small town! The sculptures were particularly superb. They do need to update their descriptions and artist bios, as many of them contained typos.

Yelp
We used the Art Museum for our ceremony and reception for our wedding. It was a fantastic venue for such an event. The people were very helpful with answering questions, moving some pieces to make room for the bar, tables, etc. It was a beautiful ceremony set out on the lawn with the ceremony on the steps. The reception was inside and we had cocktail tables out in the garden area. It was a blast! We had many compliments for what a great place to have a wedding. 130 people enjoyed such a wonderful time. Thanks again!
