Cape Cross Lodge

We had a delightful stay at the Cape Cross Lodge. Our room was clean and comfortable with an incredible view of the ocean. The food in the restaurant was delicious- my husband is still talking about the oryx and I loved the pumpkin soup. The chef lovingly assembled every plate, creating both a visual and culinary masterpiece. Last but not least, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, anticipating every need. I’d especially like to call out Janet, a new member of the team, whose warmth could be felt in every interaction. Finally, I’m grateful to Zachary for going above and beyond to assist me with an unusual request. What a special team that awaits you when you arrive at Cape Cross Lodge!

Very average experience for the price you pay. Very dated and old, everything looks like straight from the 1980s. Wifi was not working the whole time. Nevertheless very clean and staff was very friendly. Would rather drive longer instead of staying there again.

Stayed for one night as a convenient stopping point on the Skeleton Coast. The room overlooked the ocean which we loved as we could go to sleep hearing the ocean and also spot seals from our balcony. Evening meal and breakfast were both very good. The hotel is very conveniently located to visit the seal colony but far enough away to not be affected by the seal smell!|The hotel has its own desalination plant, solar panels and battery storage.

We had Family Sunday lunch on the patio and it was an exceptional experience! The staff is helpful friendly and even came to tell us to let the dogs roam outside to stretch their legs. Excellent crunchy seafood platters and juicy spareribs and lovely creps for desert, crispy cold wine, on the waves with an educational museum to keep all ages intrigued, excellent family excursion for the day!!

It is a very special place. Amazing staff and wow the food is awesome. Very good place for a get away from everything. Lovely beach to walk. Very informative museum.

We camped for one evening and we were pleasantly surprised! It is a lovely lodge close to the sea, and a perfect base to visit the seals (which is unbelievable!) The sites were neat and well protected from the wind. Even though the bathrooms are old, it is clean and in order.

We had a delicious lunch, staff was friendly and whole resort looks beautiful and clean. I would come back to eat or even book a room there!

Great location beside the sea-lion colony- but shielded from the noise and smell! Great rooms- ours overlooked the sea and the beach, so good for sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view. Delicious food and friendly, welcoming staff. The museum is interesting and gives a picture of the very hard life animals and people endure on this coast.
