Sometimes it not what you know, it's who you know...Thank you Marcel and Jayson for availing your Victorian Beauty to use from 6 to 8 June 2025 for my 50th birthday weekend away to explore Tulbagh and surrounds. It felt very special staying in Church Street from the warm welcome by Charmaine and team to the opening of the cast iron front gate and the front door, to going on a tour of what the Victorian House has to offer and more. My yearning for your 5 sleeper Art Deco apartment was a distant memory when we clapped eyes on the glass kitchen. As beautiful as the 200 year old's lounge, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, front or back stoep or garden, pool and lapa areas are, that glass kitchen was our favourite by far. Thank you for sharing your very special home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed it as our next level home away from home for the 3 days and 2 nights which by the way felt way longer, as a superb holiday full of spoils, opulence and comfort should ! Regards, Andre (and Karl & Olga) Beyleveld

Perfect for the one night that I stayed. The room was nice and cool (it was hot during my stay towards the end of February) the bed was comfortable and I had a good nights rest. The courtyard with the small pool was a cute unexpected surprise and I had everything I needed and the staff were friendly and helpful!

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed the charm of the old dutch architecture. It was around Christmas, and Jayson and Marcel had decorated every corner with great attention to detail. ||Beds were comfy, breakfast was great, the stuff is very nice, the rooms inside the thick walls keep nice and cool. It’s a great base to explore Tulbagh with its history and of course all the surrounding wine farms. We also very much enjoyed the10km hike at the Murludi farm through Fynbos ‘forests’ and with beautiful views. There’s a smaller circuit, too.

We stayed for 2 nights in Tulbagh. We stayed in the wagon shed with a private parking spot. The room had airconditioning and was lovely. The colonial style of the whole accommodation was beautiful en the service excellent. .the couch in the room however was difficult to get out from.

We had a fabulous weekend at the Cape Dutch Quarters. Our favourite time of the day spent was in the lounge at breakfast where Jaysson and Marcel shared their experiences, knowledge and stories about the furniture, history and general opinions which made our stay rather enjoyable. The room was clean, has a homely feel as well as maintaining the Victorian style atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. Marcel even offered some "good coffee" from the kitchen in case we wanted something more than the sachets in the room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, peaceful, pleasant and friendly experience.

We had a lovely loft room in a Cape Dutch style house, high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers. Friendly and helpful staff, Jayson and Charmaine were awesome, had a self-catering open plan room/kitchen available for us. We highly recommend it.
