The only downside is that the tram to the lodge still isn't fixed. They are really good about offering transportation via the van. We did the trail up and down, which was fine for us to get those steps in. The view is beautiful, the staff is nice. They came to pick us up at the airport, which was great. The in hotel restaurant was very good. And they were nice to let us grab a late dinner very close to closing. The grounds are beautiful. Once you're down all the steps, the lodge is very centrally located.

A bit disappointing... The menu. It has changed many times unfortunately. I went there with my child tonight excited to order the lemon caper chicken dish which is my go to just to see they changed the menu once again and don't serve it any longer. Not just that but they didn't even have a chicken for protein supper option. I went without eating myself and just ordered a meal for my child. I think this will be the last time we come to Cape Fox which I wish wasn't the case but I like consistency at a restaurant and this establishment just doesn't make that cut. I've lived in Ketchikan since 2011 and have watched this restaurant change a handfull of times always loosing the meal that I fall in love with. Our server was very professional and nice to speak with. He told me they had gone through changing the menu a few times due to changing cooks. I said, your Cooks get to decide your menu? He said yes. I was very shocked to hear this since this is not a 5 star restaurant with a renowned chef who should then be doing just this. This is a very bad move on this restaurants part if they are indeed letting their cooks dictate their establishments menu like this. It's a shame because I love the view and staff is always polite and cheerful but if I'm not able to depend on the menu there is no point in returning any longer.

Amazing lodge, near downtown with perfect views. Very clean and convenient with large rooms and necessary amenities. Views are incredible in all directions. Make this you favorite place to stay for your visit

Google
Restaurant has definitely gone down hill. New menu and price increase is not worth what you get. Trying to cut too many corners to save money. Go back to the old menu, bring back omelets for breakfast and baked potato or mashed on the dinner menu. Locals have been talking bad reviews toward the restaurant and has unfortunately become a big disappointment.

Google
The atmosphere was serene, with excellent art and comfortable seating. The reason I decided to go ahead and give a 5 star rating was a genuine and well together character named Craig, who was going above and beyond to make the place feel like home. If Craig is not running the restaurant, then he should be. The food was great, but certain factors made me believe they could have put more care into the preparation. The pickles where top notch. All-in-all, I would eat there again.

Google
Sat down in the restaurant for 10 minutes and nobody came to take our order. No servers even looked our direction. Place was not busy either. Staff clearly doesn’t care. Even if you’re staying in the hotel, just go somewhere else, you’ll probably finish eating before someone at this restaurant takes your order.

Next to the very expensive Salmon Falls Resort, and maybe the very small Bayside Hotel, this is probably the nicest place to stay in Ketchikan. They have a very nice museum quality display of indigenous artifacts in their lobby and upstairs that is free for the public to enjoy. They also have two very nice restaurants; the Eagles Nest has pizza and drinks and is one of my favorite places to go on a date or bring out-of-towners. I just wish they would get their tram car working though, I think that would really add to the experience, as it would be nice to see the view as you ride it up the hill side from Creek Street.

Beautiful views big comfortable rooms and just across from the convention center. Close to downtown but lots of stairs to get there.

Yelp
Went tonight to celebrate our 23 anniversary omg. It was outstanding the service from Zoe she is incredible the food was excellent

Yelp
This is our nicer dinner night out in Ketchikan & we always enjoy dinner at this lodge. We were so hungry this night that I didn't get any good pictures of the food before we devoured it. We started with the coconut halibut appetizers bites in panko amg coconut flakes with a sweet chili sauce. Our table had the seafood chowder, shrimp scampi primavera, the silver medal salmon dish and halibut Olympia. The fish was as fresh as it gets, moist and had delicious sauces and sides. It was a bit rainy this day (our only rain of the trip) but there were still great views and we got in easily with calling a few hours ahead. Can't wait to visit again next year!

Yelp
Well we live in Ketchikan and don't go to Cape Fox very often. It's kind of tucked away up above town and we just don't think to go there often. Friday after work we thought, "Hey, let's go to Cape Fox for dinner!" It was not a great decision. We got there shortly after 4pm. We've gone there before for dinner on Friday, knowing that it is one of the nights they serve prime rib. We were seated and given the wrong menus (lunch and breakfast). The waiter finally noticed and brought us, and the patrons sitting next to us, the correct menus. Honestly, I didn't see much of a difference between the lunch and dinner menus but oh well. Waiter came back and took our drink and food orders and off he went. About 10-15 minutes later we started wondering where our drinks were. There were only about two other tables with customers so it wasn't because they were busy. Finally our waiter notices our drinks weren't coming up and lo and behold, there's a new "system" in place and the bartender was not aware of our drink order. Within a few minutes we finally had our drinks with their apologies about the wait and an explanation about the situation. Shortly after that, our meals arrive. My husband had halibut fish and chips and I had a chicken Cesar salads. I wish I could say the salad was good but I cannot. It is literally the first time I've ever had a Cesar salad that grossed me out. The lettuce was just weird. Too weird and the salad dressing was minimal. To top it off, the chicken seemed watery and tasteless. I ate about 4 bites and couldn't finish the rest. My husband offered me one of his pieces of fish and low and behold it was over cooked. Ugh! We gave up. The waiter came back and asked if I wanted a to go container for my salad and I politely declined. We then opted to try the dessert. Our first choice was the caramel/apple pie. The waiter said he would check and see if they had any and asked what our second choice would be. We told him we would take the banana cream selection and off he went. Within about 3 minutes he was back at our table profusely apologizing that they did not have either of them available. I'm like, WTH?? I ask, what was going on? Are you guys under new management? He seemed quite embarrassed and said, yes. The new manager has been hired but not there yet. There was an interim manager but they weren't really much help. And another one of the people in charge was out of town on vacation. Not to mention the menus is being revamped as was the drink menu (which was not available when we asked for it). Oh, they were also using a new POS/ordering system. This was probably one of the worst dining experiences we've had in ages! As we were leaving my husband asked the waiter if they still served prime rib on Fridays (as it wasn't in the menu). He said, yes, as a matter of fact it's just now ready. He tells us he didn't mention it was an option because it wasn't ready when we were ordering. I was stunned. We gladly would have waited if we had known it was even an option. We've done it before. Do better Cape Fox!

Joshua J.

Yelp
Fantastic Restaurant The view is great, up and overlooking the ocean ( bit of a hike to get up there, but worth it ). Cody was our server and he was attentive and efficient. It was lunch, so we skipped the steak ( they have an in house dry age program). The Gruyere Halibut on fries was incredible and the crab cakes had large chunks of Crab.

Lisa S.

Yelp
While the people who work there are friendly, helpful and accommodating .. the lodge itself needs work. For the price we paid ($400) the rooms were dated, hot water took 10 minutes to get to the shower head, carpets tattered, mold in shower, etc. The tram is being redone so you have to walk dozens of stairs to get to downtown or back. Restaurant is good. New pizza place under the lodge is really great as well.

Courtenay O.

Yelp
This was our fourth time eating at Cape Fox with local family. The service is excellent, and the food is good - a little pricier than other places due to its location and reputation. There is plenty of parking, and the exterior is just as beautiful as the interior. I loved the bear in the lobby! On July 28, 2023, it was just the four of us. In the past we've been a big group with nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. On this day I had the Ketchikan Crab Dream. It was very good, and actually too much food for me. I wish I could have taken it home, but on this trip we were on a cruise. Our cousins and Husband had the fish and chips, which they enjoyed. It is usually quiet, but on this day, construction was ongoing. That's the reason for the four stars. When construction is going on during a meal, it is wise to seat your patrons away from the work - not next to it. We'll be back to visit family, and I'm sure we'll return to Cape Fox. I look forward to trying more menu items, and seeing the outcome of the construction

Samantha S.

Yelp
Staff at the lodge is very friendly and knowledgeable. Also very accommodating to our needs. Rooms were cozy, clean and quiet. Restaurant is a little pricey but the food was delicious. And the view was spectacular. Very pleased with our experience here and will be coming back again next year.

Andrew H.

Yelp
I think this place probably works best as a hotel. And, had we stayed here, maybe this review would be higher? It's got that vibe of a fancy Disney hotel except that it's local and not fake-plastic. The views are great, it's kind of an all-in-one compound. The food was...alright. It was good, but it didn't blow us away. I got a BBQ plate, and I liked it. We sat at the bar, service was OK. Beer selection was OK. Everything was A-OK, but not mind-blowing.

Rayana W.

Yelp
I have never went to K. fox but This is the Worst restaurant experience ever! Customer service is off we didn't even get our Like half way until like we Like halfway until like we had to go get up and get our napkins and stuff We didn't get Crackers for our soup! I ordered a brownie for lunch and some clam chowder My clam chowder came 1st I was done with my clam chowder and then like20 minutes later My brownie came out And it was like yeah that was good but my ice cream was like half melted Like what!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My grandparents were playing paint so That made it way better but still would not recommend It's very skibidi For my gen alpha kids That's my bad review bye

Dorothy D.

Yelp
Terrible! Three of the drapes were torn and sagging so you could not have privacy at night. I have pictures to prove how bad! The bed was so high, I had to climb onto an arm of the leather chair at then crawl onto the bed. The coffee pot would not work so when I called the night desk clerk, he said if I wanted a cup of coffee from the reception area I would have to pay for it! Then he came up to find out it would ONLY work if a full pot was made . .not just one cup. He attitude was surly and rude! There was no grab bar in the shower. There was not bath mat outsde the tub shower The tile on the bottom of the shower had no non-skid mat. And, they charged me $390 for one night with NO MEALS INCLUDED. WARNING . . my accommodations were terrible. I have travelled over 80 countries . . and what I found here was unacceptable!!

Yelp
This restaurant is a good place to get decent food, good service and beautiful views of the harbor and town of Ketchikan. We've been here a few times while on fishing trips and while we enjoyed the food & service, I wouldn't call it amazing or excellent, especially for the price. The Baked Brie and Crab app, while good, had no discernible crab (besides the flavor) and was mostly cream cheese with some Brie. I tried the Halibut Blueberry Salad and though the halibut was perfectly cooked, it was under seasoned. Hubby had the Seafood Marinara-good flavor and seafood was cooked well. We also tried the Clam Chowder and Vanilla Cheesecake-both just good, but nothing phenomenal. The service was acceptable & possibly our favorite part was the view of the town and harbor. We may go back, or we may spend less and try a burger joint in town.

Vader S.

Yelp
Probably the "best" looking hotel out of the 5 in Ketchikan. The decor, location, appearance, view is above average. The tram that links down to Creek St is a treat. However, there's an on going joke that the McDonald's milkshake machine and this one must be made by the same person. It's always broken. The in house restaurant is decent. It's slightly priced in the higher side (but so is everything in Ketchikan). The complimentary shuttle is amazing as taxi can be costly. I did enjoy my stay would come back here again.

Becky E.

Yelp
Truly, dissatisfied. For dinner ask for the large shrimp - was told they were out, then saw a plate come out with large shrimp to another table -- for breakfast, asked for the lodge special- 2 eggs any way and choice of toast. Was told they only had scrambled eggs. Then ask where my toast was - told they were out of wheat- had only white. Had to ask three times for that. Had a dinner reservation for two at 6 pm. They told us no we had a reservation for six at six!?!? So they did not have a table. Finally put us in a corner. For a lodge that nice- they really need to get it together. The tram has been broke for supposedly 3 years. Yet they are still advertising it. It is over 100 steps to climb up to lodge. Imagine the elderly- handicapped- bad knees. They could at least run a small van top to bottom every 30 minutes

Matt R.

Yelp
What a great Rueben and salad Nicely done ! Service and food was awesome New kitchen I hear Good job

Becky C.

Yelp
The view was nice, the service was questionable, and the food was hit or miss. The Santa Fe hicken Salad was nothing to write home about, the Elk Burger was good, and the Blueberry Halibut Salad was to die for! The Calamari App was pretty fried and greasy but good! Our server knew NOTHING about the rotating beers, (as she told us she was only 17 and knew nothing about alcohol in general). Probably something you want to school your staff on? She didn't bring more water despite asking a few times... Maybe this was her first day? Another server took over for her who was much better- but I would hope during a touristy season you would have better wait staff working. I think this place can be worth 4 or even 5 stars if the consistency of service and food was better. Glad I ordered what I got!

Tanisha T.

Yelp
Definitely not the friendliest environment, we came before they started serving dinner and had Lunch, the lunch menu didn't have many options that weren't fried. are meal wasn't the tastiest. We had friend halibut... it was blah. I was disappointed that this was one of there most recommended upscale restaurants here in Ketchikan. There little shuttle that brings you up was not working and I actually enjoyed the hike up the hill more than the actual restaurant. The view was nice but they didn't allow us to sit by the window, because dinner wasn't being served yet... all in all.. I'd never go back. We were there on a cruise stop and it was a waste of time.

Harmony C.

Yelp
It was located in great area for walking and exploring the community. Kerig in room, clean and decent sized rooms, free internet access, extra towels and pillows stored in room, and attentive staff. This hotel was quiet and had a cozy lodge feel. I slept very soundly which is unusual for me in hotels, I'd definitely stay here again. Restaurant onsite is good, but a bit spendy even for that area. No included free breakfast, but a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Hands down the best restaurant in Ketchikan. Nothing tops the food or the views! You can not go wrong eating there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They serve daily lunch and dinner specials, all are affordable. On Thursdays it's half off appetizers. We literally tried half the menu and would highly recommend everyone of them. The Heen Kahidi shrimp was our favorite along with the blackened steak strips and devils on horseback (bacon wrapped scallops). The staff are very friendly and attentive. The views of Creek Street and downtown Ketchikan are amazing!

Dwayne C.

Yelp
The establishment was nice and welcoming. A couple of things you should know before heading to the restaurant. It's up the hill so be prepared to walk because the tram has been closed for years! The view is amazing once you get there but seating isn't available unless you have a reservation so you have to sit in the lounge area. I am a little disappointed because my expectations were super high prior to the visit. Service was great, no complaints in that area. On to the food ! I had the double elk burger, my friend had the porky pig, the Alaskan Gold Rush and my wife had the fish and chips ( Halibut). The food was above average but the drinks not so much. My wife had the blueberry mojito, she only finished it because of the price ($18), my friend ordered a Mai tai that tasted like Juice also very pricey ($18) and My other friend had a beer that was lukewarm priced at ($7). I had an old fashioned with no cherry or orange slice ( that's the detail that was missing). Overall it's not worth the hike up. It has potential to be a gem in Ketchikan. Until next time my friends. Happy Eating Everyone :)

Kelly W.

Yelp
An fun filled evening with exceptional food and beverages. I was there with my 4 sisters and the food was outstanding. The wine reccomendations paired perfectly with our meals. If I could give more stars I would. The staff made our evening one that we will remember forever.

Randy V.

Yelp
Calamari was good but the sauce on the side was just plain mayo. Drinks are way over priced not sure if they charged us more because we arent locals but 18dollars for a mix drink is outrages. Drinks was good but the price point was ridiculous

Ricky G.

Yelp
Great date night. Wonderful views Seafood Crowder is so good here. The beds are not bad either.

Toxchix B.

Yelp
Overpriced (2,000 for 5 nights). Limited menu (small and expensive items or lightly less small and very expensive items). Floors smelled like a tenement building (cabbage and such) and the NOISE! The housekeeping staff is WAY TOO LOUD, banging and slamming things. One day, housekeeping refused to clean the room: "We're too busy!" Doing what? Cleaning rooms? Well, we are in a room that needs cleaning and you had all day (8 AM until 2 PM). So-so service in restaurant (spoon? spoon?). Lodge seems to attract people you don't want to spend time with, such as couples CURSING AND SCREAMING in the hallway, slamming doors, fighting. Not classy. I'd say raise the prices to keep those elements out, but it is already overpriced for the meager accommodations, poorly constructed bathtub (you cannot lean back in it or risk cervical spine injury), a shower reminiscent of Motel 6, and Wal-Mart quality linens/blankets/pillows.

Amy G.

Yelp
POOR MANAGEMENT. At $450++ a night I would expect the fireplace to work as it was really chilly. A 3 day fishing trip leaves you cold....the hotel should be warm and cozy, this hotel was not. The restaurant/bar has a featured massive double sided fireplace that "hasn't worked since the first day of winter last year"... per the staff. The main lobby also features a massive fireplace with lots of couches, that fireplace also doesn't work. Having a nightcap by the fire is expected when it's cold outside. The coffee cart is closed on weekends?? Huh? The gift shop was also closed Saturday. Really disappointing. I get staffing is limited in the area so maybe cross train the front desk person to assist with the shop as they share a door. Also minor maintenance issues like mold in our shower, leaking toilet, sink doesn't drain, and the carpet in our room smells of mold. Good location BUT I will be staying at Salmon Falls resort next time for sure. They are short staffed too but have working fireplaces and no mildew carpet.

Lynette Y.

Yelp
This review is for cape fox restaurant. Passing through Ketchikan where I used to live. So I am very familiar with this place. Of course post pandemic... We waited to be seated, waited for a server. Busser took our order, There were only 4 other tables with people. Which means it was relatively empty. I only came for the crab and Brie dip. Which they didn't have. We ordered halibut and chips, Caesar salad, seafood chowder, and a coke. The food was mediocre at best. I mean even the coke was weak. This restaurant was not the service or food I remember. Maybe my palate is more elevated now. Expensive meal for meh food.

Casey O.

Yelp
Great view of town . Our server Tim was phenomenal. Great bloody Mary's and the food was fabulous..

Brandon K.

Yelp
Planked Salmon was amazing. Roasted root veggies were some of the best I've ever tasted. View is best in town.

Eric H.

Yelp
The restaurant is excellent with many great selections of seafood, and breakfast items. The drinks were crazy good, and I highly recommend the bushwhacker mojito, or the Moscow mules.

Ezra R.

Yelp
If you are in Ketchikan. Go here for good food and on Thursday night good music. I went back on Friday night expecting the music. And guess what No Music. Totally bummed out. Glad I was there when the group was there. The girl played a mean Violin.

Lillian M.

Yelp
Poor service and wouldn't even seat us or acknowledge us for 10 min. I asked for a table and they seemed bothered. Bloody Mary came out of a bag. Not worth $50 drinks.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The service and food were amazing! KJ was our sommelier. She shared her wine knowledge with us which was both fun and enlightening. I highly recommend the crab and brie dip. Delicious!!!

Jarrod D.

Yelp
Wow. So glad we stayed here. I was doing Facebook searches for Ketchikan, Alaska and saw all of the amazing food pictures for this place. The food is as good as it looks, the people are very friendly, the lobby was quiet and so relaxing. I was so stressed and this vacation came just in time. Thank you team Cape Fox for this once in a lifetime stay.

Hanna E.

Yelp
THE BEST! During my time living in Ketchikan I can genuinely say this is my favorite place for yummy drinks and appetizers. I have never been disappointed with an appetizer or a meal. The service is always great. Be sure to be their for happy hour

Chris S.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to get to tour the Cape Fox lodge after the rooms have been remodeled. They looked really nice and the new furniture and local artwork on the walls adds to the charm of the Cape Fox lodge. They have beautiful views from the lodge looking out to the harbor and they recently added a coffee bar and a nice gift shop. We ate lunch at the restaurant which had delicious food. We both had the grilled fish which came with soup and chowder and two sides. The seafood chowder was as good as any I have ever had. The crowning glory was the delicious cheesecake. I highly recommend Cape Fox as a great place to stay and eat when you are in Ketchikan. Thanks Tim for your hospitality.

Mary P.

Yelp
They are getting 3 stars because of the view! It was beautiful, literally overlooking Ketchikan and ocean. The food was totally decent but definitely felt like we over paid for what we got. I had a burger and it was $19 but...you know....it was just a burger. Anyway, maybe try this place out for just a glass of wine and enjoy the view.

Alysha W.

Yelp
We took the funicular up to this hotel and the views were amazing and it was just a genuinely fun place to go explore for not very much money. They have a Restaurant and a gift shop as well as some totem poles. I highly recommend going up there just to check it out. I can't imagine how beautiful it would be to stay here. I got a peek in a room they were cleaning and there were huge windows with glorious views.

Sunny S.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about Cape Fox Lodge. I am not sure if the things that were less than good on our trip were impacted by COVID and to what extent but I will share the good and not so good of our experience after just returning from a multi-day stay at Cape Fox Lodge. The good: Beautiful views from water-facing rooms; tall trees with soaring bald eagles, swallows and hummingbirds and the narrows beyond Friendly, careful and kind shuttle drivers Outstanding servers in the dining room and lounge Comfortable beds and excellent water pressure Quiet rooms (with the exception of the doors) A well-stocked gift shop with nice gifts, libations and snacks Interesting historical artifacts throughout the lobby and every floor The unpleasant: The funicular is not operational at this time and shuttle rides are not always available; this is not evident on the lodge's website The path down to town is a gorgeous walk if you do not have a car but it may not be easily walkable for everyone The path back up to the lodge is not for the faint of heart and you may encounter sketchy characters The front desk staff is not customer focused and could use better training/coaching Front of house restaurant staffer did not handle multiple simultaneous groups well (even though we arrived on time for our reservation) and we were treated rudely and then forgotten Housekeeping was disappointing/not worthy of the lodge; our room was dirty when we arrived so we had to clean it up ourselves including the dirty towel left in the bathroom The doors to every room slam no matter how quietly you try to close them; prepare to be woken up at early hours by people departing for fishing, breakfast or an early flight I am 50/50 on recommending Cape Fox Lodge and will let you decide based on my observations and experiences. Safe travels!

Tracey M.

Yelp
We are in town visiting for my nephews graduation. Tonight we are doing a date night! We had been wanting to try this place ever since we got into town. Jennifer was friendly enough, tried to make her smile a little more. No the place was not busy! Ordered the Jerk Chicken because when I had it in Jamaica I couldn't get enough! First off, it's a A LOT of food, you have been warned. Secondly, this Jerk Chicken was so spicy I only had two bites. I love spicy but this was insane! So I'm gonna have to give it a 3... it should be spicy but not to the point that you're lips feel on fire. Our waitress didn't ask if we needed Togo. We had planned on after dinner drinks and dessert BUT she just brought us our check without seeing if we wanted dessert or drinks! So we ordered the bread pudding to go, we will have it for later! We were looking forward to hanging out, desserts, drinks but Jennifer our waitress must not have wanted to bother with us!

Tim E.

Yelp
The crab Brie dip is to die for. The best hot and buttery goodness that has ever touched my tongue. Cool lodge up on the hillside. Take the trolley/tram up from Creek Street and enjoy the view. King crab and fish 'n chips (halibut) were fantastic. Lots of native collectibles to check out in the lobby. Loved this place - hope to return and stay awhile.

Sourabh M.

Yelp
Good food highly recommend the oysters, mud pie, seafood chowder Split plate fish was average. Servers are friendly and food range is great. Rooms are good clean and comfortable.

Merritt W.

Yelp
By far the best restaurant in Ketchikan. The food was exceptional, the view excellent, the service also excellent. Very highly recommended. We've been there 3-4x over the last few years for dinner, have never been disappointed, and look forward to returning on our next trip to Ketchikan. I have not been there for breakfast or lunch so I can't express an opinion. However, for dinner, it's a great choice. The meat and fish are tasty, served attractively, good quality, and it's a great choice for dinner. Highly recommended. Merritt Weisinger Sparks, NV

Kelly C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner to celebrate the 4th with a local. We took a small tram from Creek Street up to the lodge. They had a sign that said the RT ride was $3 but there was no one there to collect. We arrived around 5:30 and all the tables against the windows were reserved but the tables around also had fantastic views. We ordered the Halbit Skillet Fries, Smoked Steak Bites, and the Crab Brie. The Halbit Skillet Fries was absolutely my favorite the cheese on top was like creamy alfredo goodness. The steak bites was basically a whole steak already cut and the Crab Brie came with green apples to dip which was a perfect combo. Highly recommend a visit! The view was amazing as well as the food.

Matrissa C.

Yelp
I'll admit the food was really good. However, when I requested my leftovers wrapped in tinfoil rather than a big box, I was informed they don't do that. Why you ask? The [totally lame] waiter said that people use tinfoil to smoke methamphetamine I'm a 62 sophisticated wealthy woman, not a KTN druggie. How absolutely insulting! What planet are these idiots from? Clearly they want to keep their tinfoil to smoke their meth between customers Cape Fox, you've lost my business FOREVER

T M.

Yelp
Horrible management. Wife is doing a fund-raiser for a family that lost their home in a fire, and the General Manager, Tim Lewis, is trolling the post and laughing at the food she is making to support this family. Very unprofessional and disgusting. Not sure why people would want to work, let alone, provide business to him. Sickening. Unprofessional and childish. Will not be returning there again. My wife makes better crab and brie anyways...for cheaper.

Sandy S.

Yelp
About 1 week ago I had relatives visiting from Florida. I wanted to impress them. So I made reservations at Cape Fox. I remember that it always had been good in the past. Well we sat there for a good 45minutes before we even got our drinks. The waiter had no idea what kind of beer was on tap. I ordered an tuna appetizer- it kinda came with our meal. By Kinda, I mean it was not the appetizer, but a salad. They apologized and put a rush on the appetizer, but by then we were done with our meal. Which my husband got the fish & chips which the fry's came cold & the fish was just warm! My nephew got the same, and his was cold too! I got the seafood pasta which was nothing special. The seafood was mostly overcooked. I won't go there again, or recommend it!

Anthony H.

Yelp
The restaurant was fantastic and the rooms were acceptable. The elevator was broken & no assistance offered to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Front desk and management lacked basic communication skills and the lack of hospitality was blatant. How embarrassing to be confronted in front of my family by a combative manager.

Yelp
Service and food was phenomenal! Our big family came here all the way from Vegas and the fish here is so fresh and tasty. Our server, Christian, gave the best service! Everything deserved 5 stars.

Yelp
My first trip to alaska and i had a overnight stay at the cape fox lodge. We ate at the diner at the lodge and the best thing i could say is the food was fantastic. The deep fried fish was out of the world. Cant wait to go back.
