Cape Kidnappers Golf Course

Wow! Incredible hosts, service and a challenging but not unplayable golf course even for a hack like myself. Allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the vista and the finely manicured course. Ours was a special day. Thoroughly enjoyed.

What a lovely course. Spectacular views. We had a wonderful forecaddie who helped with reading the lines on the very ondulated greens. Fairways and greens have been in top shape. The only criticism is that green fee and Proshop pricing are at the top end and remind to the US ownership of the resort.

Its hard! Take lots of balls because even if you think you are in the fairway there is a big chance you are not! Views are spectacular, greens fast & hard to read. NB: allow additional 15mins drive to get from the entry gate to the golf course. Its not obvious on google maps, its a long drive up the top.

Ultimate golfing day starts with 8 km drive on private access bitumen road wending through prime new zealand hillscape. The course is in top condition with lightning fast true greens, teeoffs across rugged coastal ravines, and a gannet colony viewed from above from 15th green. Teeoffs every 30 minutes is a golfers dream come true. Don't miss this one

At the prices they charge it wont be a regular course, but the staff were great and the views from the course are spectacular. The course is well maintained and is quite challenging. Overall we had a lovely morning of golf.

I visited Cape Kidnappers Golf Club in New Zealand with my friends. Before playing golf, I had a very delicious meal at the clubhouse restaurant. My first reaction was “WOW.” I have to say that it was the best meal I had in New Zealand. The dish I enjoyed was the Hawke’s Bay Cobb Salad, which was served by Doug. He was very kind, handsome, and professional. I would like to sincerely thank Doug for his wonderful hospitality.

This was our first visit for our 10th wedding anniversary. All the staff were very kind, and the scenery from the golf club was absolutely beautiful. We plan to visit again if we have the chance.

Have played here 5 rounds Top course and very challenging. Read the pro tips in the course notes carefully, as they are very accurate. The course is always in immaculate condition and the fairways and greens are presented in a pro course Condition. I played off a combination of green and white tee which suited my 16 handicap. Don't try and be the hero up here. The whole experience for a day of golf, food and drinks afterwards is well worthwhile. If the weather is a bit dogey consider postponing to the next available day. The staff and facilities are 1st class, the carts have screens that have hole layouts and distance to pin. Give this course 9/10... Can be difficult in the tussok off the fairways. More playable than Kinloch. Fantastic views of ghe beautiful Hawkesbay Throughly recommend playing. Cheers Duncan
