Cape Kudu Hotel, Koh Yao Noi

My first time visiting Koh Yao Noi and my first stay at Cape Kudu left me truly impressed. The island has so much charm and character. It is peaceful, quiet, and uncrowded, with beautiful seas and a very relaxing atmosphere. This is a review from a Thai traveler who has experienced staying here firsthand. The island itself is lovely, and the locals are warm and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with kind and attentive staff providing excellent service. The location is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Breakfast was delicious, with different dishes each day. The hotel also offers various activities that guests can register to join. One of the most iconic highlights is the hornbill perched in the trees around the hotel, which adds a special and memorable touch. The overall feeling is very warm and welcoming. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

We had a fantastic experience at Cape Kudu. The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff were wonderful, couldn’t do more to help! I have stayed in many hotels around the world and I can genuinely say that the staff at Cape Kudu have been the best. The room and the view were a highlight - absolutely amazing. The food from breakfast to dinner was incredible. Love the “boutique feel”. We really enjoyed the weekly activities like the island tour and the yoga. The cocktail hour was definitely a highlight. I would recommend to sign up to as many as you can! Thank you so much we will definitely return.

The location is old school Thai, blending in as it does with the surroundings and coastline. Rooms are specious and well appointed with high quality fixtures and bedding. |From minute one the staff were amazing!! Polite , well mannered and caring throughout my stay . A big well done to Antoine the hotel manager and all his staff. |Pool facilities are small but adequate for the number of bathers. Oh and an adult’s only section too. Food including breakfast was extremely well presented and organised ,with an excellent range of food choices every day .|Happy hour ( a proper 50% off) was a great addition to the complimentary cocktail hour once a week ,complimentary cycle hire and canoeing .Oh forgot to add the champagne on at some breakfast sitting too. |A day didn’t pass without staff asking how my holiday was going, a joy to hear. |Near to the hotel is a good range of reasonably priced restaurants again serving good home cooked Thai food. |I could go on ,but I think I’ve summed up my fabulous stay at Cape Kudo . So why don’t you treat yourself to a boutique hotel with real style and elegance. Certainly worth it !

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Cape Kudu hotel on Koh Yao Noi. It was amazing, quiet and very relaxing. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. We were treated well. We really liked our room which had a view of the ocean and a chair hammock. It was lovely decorated with a beach theme. The room was clean and well kept. The aircon worked well on hot humid nights. We liked that the hotel offered free kayaking and bicycles to ride the island. The hotel offered cool drinks and happy hour. A shout out to Deed, Adha , Toey, A, Abby, Rot, Rose, Matthias, Diana for their awesome customer service and support.

Cape Kudu is easy to love. Great styling, very reasonable and delectable food and cocktails (happy hour every day too). Breakfast especially was wonderful!! We loved the location next to a good beach and some good quality bars and restaurants. Also, the small intimate nature of the place with chic views and Hornbills flying around was quite unique. We had a great couples massage and made use of the kayaks, pool table and bikes. But, if we’re being really picky, one thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars or thinking it was 5 star was the staff. It was all a bit reactive in the bar/restaurant rather than proactive. Don’t get me wrong, the staff were very friendly (apart from the lady who did the eggs who seemed a little miffed most of the time 😂!) and there were lots of them, but just needed a bit more prompting. But overall Cape Kudu was lovely and also good value all round.

We spent five nights at Cape Kudu Hotel in Koh Yao Noi and have never experienced such exceptional warmth and friendliness. From the moment we arrived, the entire team — starting with Antoine, the GM, as well as Yoann, Matthias, Jenny, and many others — went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Everyone was genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to help. We were also amazed by the number of complimentary activities offered by a 5-star hotel: guided tours around the island, batik workshops, yoga sessions, and even a weekly aperitif with delicious small bites. It truly added an extra layer of charm to our stay. And not to forget the fantastic breakfast — beautifully presented, delicious, and a perfect way to start each day. The hotel’s location is perfect, with stunning views from the restaurant and the rooms on the third floor. We can highly recommend Cape Kudu Hotel. In all our years of traveling and staying in wonderful hotels, we have never encountered hospitality as heartfelt as here. An unforgettable experience!

Location - 10 minutes from the pier, transfer costs 200-300 Baht. ||Transport 100 Baht per person, more or less from & to anywhere on the island. ||The view from the hotel is beyond amazing. ||A lovely mix of 20-30 good restaurants and beach bars all within a 10 minute walk make this a perfect location, avoiding the need for transport at night. ||Rooms - Garden villas and traditional 3 storey hotel blocks. Upper floors have the ocean views. ||Bed was comfortable, TV, coffee making, stocked fridge with free water daily, prompt and efficient room service, safe, great a/c, reasonable sized wardrobes, plenty of drawers, sofa and European plug sockets. Bath robes and slippers. ||Bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower and good water pressure, basic toiletries and basic hairdryer. ||Food - Brilliant breakfast buffet. Evening restaurant was good but plenty of choice locally to suit all tastes ||Externally we recommend Rice Paddy restaurant. ||Amenities - Strong WiFi, Gym, pool beds with separate adults area, 2 pools. Complementary yoga and push bikes. ||Service - Excellent, everyone was really friendly and helpful.||Summary - Not cheap but worth it. We will return. ||The larger island Koh Yao Yai worth a trip if you have a motorbike. 10 minutes across by boat. Less touristy.

Excellent staff - cannot thank them enough for making our stay so very special! We were celebrating a special anniversary and they had a lovely card and an anniversary cake waiting for us in our upgraded pool villa! Everyone is so friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The island is simple and nice by itself, but a stay at Cape Kudu makes it even more special. The room / villa was well appointed, with robes, jacuzzi jets in the plunge pool, a pillow menu, and all the in-room amenities one would need for a luxurious and comfortable stay. Nice pool and recreational area for guests as well. Tip - Try to have a meal at their cafe Kantary. Their cakes are lovely, but so is the food!
