A Travel Guide to Koh Yao Noi, Thailand | Vogue

"Situated on the eastern coast, Cape Kudu Hotel is exactly what you want when traveling to a destination like Yao Noi. The boutique property, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is intimate, with just 56 accommodations; it features well-appointed spaces with a boho-chic vibe that instantly welcomes you to island life. If you’re going with a significant other and want some added privacy, opt for one of the pool villas, which come with a plunge basin on the enclosed terrace. But if you have family or friends in tow, Baan Yu Yen will give you all of the comforts of a stylish home. Spanning over 14,000 square feet, the villa consists of two annexes, each with its own bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and oversize deck with a large pool. You’ll also have a full kitchen and a spacious living room with a dining area at your disposal." - Christina Liao

We had the most incredible stay at Cape Kudu Hotel — it truly exceeded all expectations from what we were told about Thailands ‘rainy’ season.||From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Jenny at reception, who made us feel at ease straight away. That same friendly, genuine hospitality continued throughout our stay, thanks to the wonderful team, including the Food & Beverage Manager Yohan and the General Manager Antoine, who were both incredibly attentive, not afraid to assist their junior staff when needed and always attentive to guests needs. Getting to know your guests beyond surface level was such a rare experience that we truly loved.||Every single staff member we encountered — from the restaurant crew, security and to housekeeping — was consistently kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. You can really feel that the team here cares deeply about creating a memorable experience for their guests.||The buffet breakfast was a standout each morning — a huge variety of options, all fresh and beautifully presented. Whether you’re into fruit, local Thai dishes, or classic Western breakfast options, they had it all. We also dined in for dinner and were blown away by the quality and flavour. Every meal was delicious and beautifully served.||The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a calm, coastal aesthetic that made it so easy to relax. We loved how peaceful it was — waking up to the sound of birds instead of traffic is something special. The views from the room and the main areas of the hotel were absolutely stunning — you’re surrounded by ocean, islands, and greenery everywhere you look.||The pool area is lovely and well-maintained, with comfy lounges and a peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a range of daily complimentary activities available (like batik painting and Thai Dessert workshops), which was such a thoughtful touch and a fun way to connect with the local culture.||The hotel is in a great location too — close enough to explore the island by scooter, but still feels like a quiet retreat from the busier tourist areas.||If you’re looking for a truly relaxing getaway with top-notch service, beautiful views, and a warm, welcoming vibe, Cape Kudu is a perfect choice. Having stayed at multiple Cape/Kantary group properties this is truely one of the jewels in the crown. We didn’t want to leave — and we’re already planning when we can return!

This review is long overdue, but nearly 6 months later we still savour the night we spent at the hotel celebrating the 60th birthday of my husband. For the occasion we had been upgraded to a beautiful villa with private pool and a lovely bottle of bubbly and chocolate birthday cake and personalised card waiting in the villa. Decor and ambience in the room is ‘magazine worthy’. It was magic!! |(Merci, merci beaucoup à Antoine et son équipe -tout etait parfait! Malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu réserver un 2e nuit mais nous revenons-sans faute!)||Great was our surprise when we arrived at this boutique hotel at the back of the local taxi. The hotel is very cosy, inviting grounds and well maintained public areas with luxury touches throughout; a small beach just across. The view from the pool overlooking the karst islands in the bay is just breathtaking. We saw our first ever toucans in the wild in the nesting box above the pool. |Staff were great at reception, the bar and the restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and all were easy to talk to and joke with. 😄. |What a magnificent spread for breakfast! |Dinner was enjoyed on the terrace but it got windy and we moved inside. |Authentic tastes served with panache. Great coffee shop 50 steps from the hotel. We are dreaming of taking our family to the magnificent private family villa next door. Keeping our fingers crossed!

This the best holiday I have ever stayed in. The staff were so lovely and attentive, and always catering to our every need. The rooms were clean with good aircon. The food was delicious, the complimentary breakfast was amazing, so many different things each day. I would highly recommend all the fabulous activities they put on for us, a cocktail night, a cooking class, and a boat trip which was a highlight. I am so sad to leave this lovely hotel.

By far our favorite hotel during our 3 weeks and 6 hotels here in Thailand. The service is impeccable. It is truly like nothing I’ve ever experienced. They focus on “customer service” here and even have a customer relations team. The food was great, the views are amazing, the rooms are comfortable, the hospitality is top notch and the island is so quiet and relaxing, but still has great bars and restaurants They have daily activities; one of which is a beach cleanup. I joined with 2 members of the team. It was great to see their passion in taking care of our earth They have a bakery next door and are always offering baked goods throughout your stay. Would highly recommend

Amazing experience at Cape Kudu Hotel & Spa ! The Deluxe room was beautiful and spacious, food was amazing, the swimming pool and the overall hotel has the best sea view. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. We booked our two boat tours with the hotel and we were delighted (thank you Mathias !). The massage at the spa was incredible (thank you Nan & Jaroh !). The hotel is very well located with direct access to the beach, many delicious restaurants, massage therapists other than the spa of the hotel, a small supermarket… 100% recommended, especially in June since the touristic season hasn’t started yet and you’ll feel like you’re alone at the hotel and on the island.

This hotel is amazing. The staff are so lovely, it was sad to leave them, they were so helpful and kind. The food was delicious, and the complimentary buffet breakfast had so many options. The free activities they provided were really good, I would especially recommend the boat trip. With all the things included it was really good value for money.

Amazing hotel and amazing staff, felt like 5* treatment from the moment we arrived at Cape Kudu, with the staff really going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We stayed for 5 nights and could have stayed longer!! Free daily activities are provided too which were great especially during the wetter days of the monsoon season such as cooking and painting. |We also did the shared 3 island boat trip and the private 4 island trip provided by the hotel which was the best day of our holiday!|Food and drink were very good, although slightly more expensive when compared to other local options! The 4-5pm happy hour was great appreciated at the hotel and there were lovely local restaurants we ate out in each night less than a 3 minute walk away! |The on site spa was beautiful and Mai provided the most amazing relaxing Thai massage||Thanks again for the most magical start of our honeymoon trip!

We had a perfect stay here for 6 days. Everything was exceptional. They have activities which was a nice touch. One activity was a cocktail party in the hotel with free cocktails/ wine and canapés. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.||We stayed in the deluxe view room which was perfect. I’m glad we chose this instead of the room with a pool as we used the main pool anyway and the view was incredible!
