A Travel Guide to Koh Yao Noi, Thailand | Vogue

"Situated on the eastern coast, Cape Kudu Hotel is exactly what you want when traveling to a destination like Yao Noi. The boutique property, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is intimate, with just 56 accommodations; it features well-appointed spaces with a boho-chic vibe that instantly welcomes you to island life. But if you have family or friends in tow, Baan Yu Yen will give you all of the comforts of a stylish home. Spanning over 14,000 square feet, the villa consists of two annexes, each with its own bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and oversize deck with a large pool. You’ll also have a full kitchen and a spacious living room with a dining area at your disposal." - Christina Liao

My partner and I stayed 3 nights at the Cape Kudu hotel. We booked it through Mr. & Mrs. Smith/Hyatt. We stayed at the villa with a pool - what a pleasant experience! We were greeted by Jenny, a super friendly and warm woman, who explained to us the facilities, booked our excursion and massages. The facilities are beautiful, the hotel is tranquil and perfect for relaxing, resting and enjoying the beauty around the island. Breakfast is delicious and the views from the pool are stunning. The restaurants near the hotel were a nice surprise! On a Sunday evening, there was live music at the restaurant. We loved Koh Ya Noi, and staying at Cape Kudu was one of the reasons why!

What an incredible stay at Cape Kudu on the beautiful Koh Yao Noi. The island is really peaceful and still feels reasonably ‘untouched’, everything feels authentic and local rather than just set up for tourists. ||Cape Kudu is situated in the most idyllic spot with unspoilt views of all the islands. The hotel itself has beautiful interior and is super clean. Pool is fabulous and great restaurant. There are some really lovely spots for eating locally only a few minutes walk away too! ||What really makes this hotel stand out is the hospitality of EVERY SINGLE staff member. We were travelling with our 2 year old and they made us feel so special. Special mention to Fredricka, Jenny and the superstar that is Rose who did some babysitting for us! I also had a lovely massage at the spa with Mai! You have all made the end of our trip one to remember and we know Freddie will miss your entertainment. ||Thank you!!! ||If you are looking to book here do not hesitate!

We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at Cape Kudu and we loved it there. Highlights- The staff: Super friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. From the front desk, to restaurant waiting staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the managers… everyone seemed genuinely welcoming and there to support our every need.- Ambience: The hotel was beautiful - from the pool & restaurant with their gorgeous sea view, to the thoughtfully decorated clean & bright rooms, to the gorgeous spa, everything felt designed to help you relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings. We loved the vintage cars parked outside too… and the beautiful flowers all around… The whole place was just 🤩 Other things we loved:- It was my partner’s birthday & they put a cake in the room for us- The food & drinks at the restaurant were delicious - The musicians (restaurant had live music) were great - The spa was beautiful & we both enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing massage there- Easy to arrange transport (scooter rental right next door & local taxis available for getting back to the pier)Areas for improvement: - The pool in the room needed some maintenance, specifically the top rung of the ladder was missing, which made it difficult to enter and exit the pool

My husband and I stayed at Cape Kudu in December, as our first Christmas away from home, and it couldn't have been better. The staff were exceptional, from front-of-house, to restaurant staff, to Mai and Nan the masseuses. We loved our little apartment with pool, it was a great place to retreat to before dinner, and the pool and beach areas were really comfortable too. It was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday - and seeing hornbills from the pool was the icing on the cake! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at Cape Kudu. Thanks to all the staff for being so welcoming.

Koh Yao Noi is a relaxing island that is a 30min speedboat ride from Bang Rong pier in Phuket. The island is quiet and there are much fewer tourists compared with other islands.||Cape Kudu is a relatively small resort with nice rooms and personable service. As Hilton members, we appreciated the recognition and a one-level room upgrade. The resort is nice and we enjoyed the complimentary weekly activities - half day island tour (strongly recommended), morning yoga, and free use of bicycle. Breakfast had a selection of both Thai dishes and western pastries, with live stations for eggs and Thai pancakes. We wanted to recognise Jenny for her kind service during our stay! We will return again for another stay.||Separately, we also self-organised a half-day diving tour to the Ao Nang islands with Similan Scuba Ko Yao Noi, a short 5min walk from Cape Kudu.

This hotel is an absolute gem! It offers wonderful accomodation which is modern and comfortable. Food is varied and excellent - well prepared and tasty - presentation of the meal was exceptional. Staff were so friendly and helpful - they made you feel welcome right from checking in through to your departure. Transfer from mainland to the island was by speed boat - we had a smooth crossing both ways - not sure what the policy is when weather is not so good. Steps and wooden slatted path leading from the jetty need attention - some were cracked and one slat was missing.

Absolute gem of a place! The hotel is situated on the tiny island of Koh Yao Noi. The hotel now provides an option of a semi-private speedboat (paid, of course) which makes traveling between the mainland and the island very easy. My wife and I went for our first wedding anniversary and we had a lot of fun! The service is spectacular and the property is drop dead gorgeous. Must visit!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cape Kudu, so much so that we returned a week later to finish our holiday, we literally could not stay away.||The location of the hotel is stunning, looking out over the water and islands and set on Koh Yao Noi, a quiet, tropical island, not over run with tourists. The design of the hotel and rooms is modern and fresh, striking just the right balance between luxury and laid back island aesthetics. The food is great, breakfast is a wonderful spread and we enjoyed dining in the restaurant every evening...the papaya salad and banana fritter were particular favourites. Cafe Kantary is a lovely addition to the hotel, a more relaxed affair than the restaurant, we often enjoyed lunch there with good coffee and smoothies.||What really made this hotel for us though was the wonderful staff! We travelled with our baby daughter Norah, and while it is probably a hotel better suited to couples, we could not have been made to feel more welcome. From arrival to departure, Norah was treated like a queen, all the staff were so so kind towards her and thoughtful. A special thanks to Ronny for treating her with bananas by the pool everyday.....he even brought her a whole bunch from home one day! and to all the restaurant staff Maemay, Ten, Noon, Priew, Thanya....I wish I could name them all! They really made our stay so enjoyable.||We really are looking forward to return again and enjoy this wonderful place.
