Great place for general wildlife observation, especially for avian species. 3 different locations throughout cape may county with at least 1 trail at each. Very well positioned on Atlantic Flyway

Nice place to walk or bike. Nice view. Friendly staff. Many mosquitoes (could be the rain, but I mean RAIN, of the previous day) made the trip shorter than expected. It was a little hard to take good pictures. Would need to go early to be alone, or stay there for a few hours.

Very nice ocean view, plenty of parking, and clean restrooms. Staff was really nice.

Great place to walk the beach. The beach is flat, wide, and firm, which makes it great for walking. It's about a 3-mile round trip from the parking lot to the channel and back.

Lovely little visitor center with a great gift shop. We took a nice hike to the beach. Plenty of free parking, too.

Beautiful dunes preserve on Atlantic side, lovely wetlands on bay side. Never knew Jersey shore still had this protected, natural area. Small but breath-taking.

Walking the beach at the Cape May National Wildlife refuge center. This is our yearly trip as beach access to this part of the beach closes from April 1st to September 30th every year. However, the trails and center are open starting the beginning of April and have activities during the spring/summer months. Check it out, very educational. However, today we noticed what appeared to be a wounded seagull on the beach in this area. Called and left multiple messages to different departments in the hopes someone can check it out.

After a one year hiatus, the Federal Government is allowing us limited access to the Nature Trails and to our Nature Store that helps support our activities. A beautiful and educational way to spend a Saturday or Sunday. Check out their Facebook pages for the Full Moon Walks at night to see a unique side of the TMBU!
