This winery is open all year round and has a fabulous wine tasting room. Very comfortable atmosphere with a fireplace going in the cooler months. Fantastic assortment of wines for tasting. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding you in suggesting what wines you may like and will make recommendations for your sampling. They were right on the money. The vanilla port was amazing. We have been here many times and totally enjoy our experience. They offer cheese and delicious tapas to purchase in the gift shop area to have with your wine tasting. Many wines from Cape May Winery are offered in local restaurants that are BYOB. My favorite time of year to visit is Spring and Fall. The guided tours are very interesting and fun with a group. This winery should definitely be on your list of ones to try in the area.

On 10/10 my husband & I took a trip to Cape May Winery for the first time! Now not a lot of NJ wineries impress me but this winery is definitely in my top 3 favorites! The wines were very flavorful & not overly sweet! The outside accommodations were lovely & so much room! The indoor sections were also spacious and lovely. If we had not been on a budget for our wedding we both agreed this would have been a top contender for a venue to get married at! The staff was very friendly & welcoming! The wine selections were incredible & the food was also tasty! Definitely will come back down if we visit the area again!

What went well you ask? Everything. Great food, Service and a beautiful setting. Great 3rd generation family business. "Pop Up" anytime and we are in.

I wish I loved this place as much as the other reviewers. The grounds are very pretty. We came in and didn't realize how to get a table and everything said reserved. You have to go see the hostess. Finally a staff member helped us but we didn't get a seat outside which we wanted. I did a white flight and my mom did a red flight. She liked one of her wines and bought it. I didn't like any of mine. I wanted to like something and buy it but it didn't happen. I wouldn't bother returning here.

Fantastic spot! We went here tonight to see some live music and so my wife could have some wine flights. Such a beautiful place. We sat outside. It was a perfect date night. We got some tuna tacos and some delicious salads. Filling too. The tacos were in won ton hard shells with avocado inside. Very creative. I got a blueberry mock tail that was really good and not too sweet. A lot of times they go too hard on the sweetners with non alcoholic stuff. We hung out here for close to 3 hours. It's just a really nice place to chill out.

CAPE MAY: we were truly charmed by Cape May Winery and, although no surprise, visiting this spot reinforced that there are great small businesses and how we really have it all here in New Jersey! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at designated areas, so check with the host to be seated. Open daily throughout the year, come for the wine made from their own farmed grapes and stay to enjoy a tapas-inspired food menu, and a stroll amongst the Napa Valley-like grounds. We really got lost in the beauty of the place and the sense of whimsy and magic. We enjoyed a bottle of one of their white wines and you can also order by the glass or in a flight for a wine tasting. There is a nice selection of varietals to choose from.

This winery was a serve yourself, not bad for them but when you're seated at the back building and have to walk your wine and food back to your own table. Hands full, trying not to spill, maybe ask for front seating next time! Not the best and most ideal concept, but overall food was okay. Better than most winery food i've had. Wine was great and was priced well per glass.

Beautiful Vineyard with a lot of outdoor seating. Came out of season so I was unable to see the winery at its peak. This place is quite busy, but there are still a lot of places to sit. Came during a weekend so there was live music making it more enjoyable. You order your food and wine in a certain area and receive a beeper thing when it's ready. The wines were very delicious and I enjoyed the wide variety that they had to taste. I definitely went on the sweeter side vs dry this time around, which I did not regret. The food was very delicious, but of course the portions were not that large. I got the polenta and chicken sliders which were delicious, but I felt it was a tad over priced. Regardless I would still come by here again during peak season for the more scenic views.

Beautiful grounds. A lovely place to walk and take photos in nature. The tasting room was equally as beautiful. As was the outside patio. Lots of places to enjoy your food. The staff was so patient with me as I picked my drink. I could've easily gotten a flight but opted to just get the Isaac Smith Apple. I LOVED it!! They have a good selection of food to pick from. I chose the Nashville Hot Slider. The lady working that section was the friendliest!! I wished there were all as sweet. The sandwich had a great crunch but it wasn't hot at all and I could hardly taste ANY sauce. Maybe they need to rebrand it and say fried chicken sandwich so there's no expectations. Because as is, it was still a yummy sandwich. I had a wonderful time here and would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful grounds and some of the best wines (white) that I've tried in NJ! We ordered a flight of dry whites and a blueberry mocktail,and these did not disappoint! Came on a busy Sunday afternoon,an hour before closing,and there was plenty of space to find some shade and privacy on a hot day. Pups are welcome,parking is available on a dedicated lot. Must visit when in Cape May!

Great vibe, chill out, have a carafe of wine and some tapas, with some nice music in the background. Very relaxing g!

Great place. Beautiful day sitting outside. Basically a help yourself type of place during tapas time Food was prepared quickly and food was delicious.

Loved it here! Really pretty winery. We each had a flight and I liked all the wines I had. I did the estate flight. My favorite was the white blend. I thought the prices were really reasonable. Our charcuterie board was really nice and had great variety. Everything I tried was really good and the lavender honey was amazing! You can buy it by the jar. I would definitely get it if you like honey!! It was really nice and relaxing sitting outside by the fountain. We really enjoyed our visit here. I would definitely come here again.

Has a wonderful night at cape may winery grill night.Food was wonderful, great music and the staff very friendly and pleasant. hope to get back before summers over!

They have a lot different events in the summer n they do have one of the best wine in this state n county hands down a must go n stop n get a glass of battle of wine n some taps n enjoy it we have been coming for years n still the best only to wineries I would go this one another one it's 10/10

Excellent ambiance, AMAZING whip drinks (looks like iced cream, tastes like heaven!) Also loved the coconut shrimp I ordered. Prices a bit high. Will return!

Excellent Winery Beautiful outdoor seating with a view of the vines. Great set up for service. They have two self serve windows one to order food and one to order drinks. This concept is very efficient. The food and wine both very good. The prices are very reasonable. A definite must stop while in Cape May. By far better than competing wineries in the area. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Love this vineyard in the summer, but I also love that they stay open year round and have indoor seating! We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday in January. It was so fun! The spring/summer is super crowded here but we were pleasantly surprised that it was empty! The worker pouring our wine said that Sundays are usually quieter than Saturdays year round, so keep that in mind! I tried the sauvignon blanc and cab sav reserve. Both were great, but I think I preferred the red, even though I'm normally a white wine girl. I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely a must visit when in Cape May!

Absolutely excellent food, wine and ambience. However, because of that it's popular so be prepared for a less intimate atmosphere and a 90 minute table limit. It's not well advertised on their website but they have several gluten free food options including a gluten free crust for their flatbread.

Another delicious Grill Night at Cape May Winery. The pork, crab cake, potato salad, Rona's broccoli salad and pound cake with fresh berries and cream were delicious. The savioug blanc, cool & refreshing. The service always impeccable. The acoustic set always a delight to listen to. The vineyard atmosphere is always great.

Everyone I encountered was friendly. I did an estate flight and each was delicious in its own way. I got a couple tapas and they were both amazing. The grounds are gorgeous. Indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend stopping here!

Excellent place to chill out with a bottle of wine listen to some cool tunes grab a little platter to eat. They have a great charcuterie board. My favorite is the dry whites some prefer the semi dry I do not. I don't like the sugars.

Ordered two flights and two sandwiches, everything was amazing. Atmosphere is very nice and calming, a nice place to unwind. Customer service was very good and people working were very helpful since it was our first time. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Came here a little before closing. Nice lobby area with some cute things you can buy. Go inside and there is seating and couches. We ordered wine flights at the counter, which has a beautiful fountain on the wall behind the counter. The employee poured our wine into three glasses (we both got the red flight) and we took it to our table in the sun room area and seated ourselves. Nice area that would definitely be fun when its warmer out with a garage door that opens up. We had a great view of the vineyard and the barn in the back. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and our last stop in Cape May. Would definitely go back to get more wine!

I recently had the privilege of visiting this local winery. It was so nice to be greeted by staff who love their business and are passionate about wine. We took a tour of the beautiful grounds, tasting area, and gigantic production facility which was set up for special events. The winemakers described what was currently in the barrels and even gave us a sampling of what wines will be bottled. There was a wide variety of wines for sale to please every palette. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting rooms were decorated beautifully and made you feel instantly welcome. I left with several bottles and will be back again to enjoy a glass of wine in their beautiful tasting rooms. This is a great way to spend the day on your way to the shore.

The wines were surprisingly really good-- and I'm really picky about my wines. Definitely fun in a group. Great to hang out, chat, try some local wines and nosh. Food counter was order and pick up. Place is not huge so it can fill up pretty fast.

A deceptively large property with options ranging from the bar, to indoor tables, to outside dining. Has a fun, ski lodge kind of feel inside and a garden like experiences outside. Both are excellent options depending on what you seek. The wines range from good to excellent, with the reds leading the charge for me. Tastings are available to give you a good appreciation for the wineries range, and food options are available ranging from meats & cheeses to tapas. The emphasis is definitely on sharing, so don't be afraid to order multiple items. Staff is friendly and attentive, though in my experience they can get a little overwhelmed. This is a popular spot and if the weather turns, it can really get packed inside. You'll never go without, but guests seeking a more intimate tasting experience may want something just a little different. However, for groups of 4 or more, I think there's something for everyone to have a wonderful time.

Cape May Winery is among our all-time favorite destinations. We have stopped there for at least the past 20 years during our annual visits to Cape May. Most especially, we love Grill Night. The wine and food are excellent, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and professional. The evening is so enjoyable that we now have chosen to extend our stay in Cape May beyond one week in order that we may experience two Grill Nights!

We decided to stop in to this winery on our way back to our home. When we arrived around 3pm on Saturday, it was packed! The entire lot was filled with cars and buses and there was a line to get in. We waited in line for about 15-20 minutes to be seated. It is a self-service winery, so there is little to no interaction with the employees. We were seated outside by their barn. It was pretty loud since there were multiple parties in our section. You have to walk to the winery section to get food and drinks. We got the red flight and white flight. We didn't have any food here since we had gotten lunch right before. The white flight wines were not very good unfortunately. The Chardonnay was very sharp and not very enjoyable. I did like the lighthouse white, it was very sweet. I did end up buying a bottle of the lighthouse white to bring home. My fiancé enjoyed the Cabernet the most from his red flight. The winery was very pretty and had lots of seating. I didn't like that there was no interaction so you didn't learn about the winery or history. I was happy we tried it, but I don't think I would go back due to the quality of the wines.

Absolutely stunning winery with great wines! I was in the area with a girlfriend for a wedding, and we decided to do some exploring. We both love wine so this was a logical choice! What a gorgeous location! The inside is just lovely with wine tasting and a cute store and places to sit. Then outside there are a ton more places to sit- there is a hostess stand where you can order wines and get an assigned table.We sat outside at a lovely table in the sunshine. There was live music by a really talented musician, tables of friends and families, kids enjoying their time too, and what looked to be tasty food (we didn't have any food). The wine was so good that we ended up checking a suitcase on the way home so it could come home with us.

Grill night at Cape May winery was a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was amazing. Worth the money that was spent.

We went with a few family members there. Clayton was awesome. He made our visit fun and took pics for us. Would def recommend !

Friendly staff and the food presentation was fabulous and amazing! We got the wine tastings, charcuterie board, sliders, and brie w/ raspberry. I do wish that we can create/mix&match our wine flights. We walked around the vineyard and went inside the indoor dining room (which is beautiful)

What a beautiful winery! We stepped in and were greeted right away by a staff member who directed us on where to go for what we wanted (wine). The man tending bar was great! Super friendly and told us all about the wine we ordered. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine even though it was tiny bit chilly yesterday. It is a nice place and we will absolutely stop by again when we are down the shore.

So this winery exceeded our expectations for a NJ vineyard. We came in on Monday 11/13 for a quick tasting before heading back to New Brunswick & we were pleasantly surprised! The tasting was $10 for 6 wines in a guided tasting. The guided tasting (I can't remember his name!!) was great. He was very enthusiastic! We had anticipated the wine to be alright, we don't find many wineries in NJ that are worth it. Honestly, it was pretty solid! We liked the Unoaked Chardonnay (crisp), the Stone Series Pinot Noir (light), and the Cabernet Franc (seems like it would be great with a fatty steak!) The winery is gorgeous inside. Very chic and warm! We peeked in and decided to just grab a glass (we ended up getting a bottle because it was cheaper that way). We ended up enjoying a glass in the greenhouse-like room by the fire with a view of the vineyard. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop!

This property is absolutely gorgeous, but I've never been more confused visiting a winery. They must have a reason behind their procedures, but it was a bit annoying for a first time visitor. The front parking lot was full, so our first mistake must have been entering through the back. We walked inside and up to the wine bar. They let us look at the menu for a few minutes and then asked if we had seen a hostess yet. We had not and the signs said self-seating on Thursdays. I guess not? So we had to leave the wine bar without ordering, wait in line at the hostess to be seated in a far away room (we wanted to sit outside near the barn) and then walk back to the wine bar after getting a table. Guess what - now there was a line of 10 people at the wine bar. I didn't quite get the wait in one line to wait in another line procedure - especially on a day when there seemed to be plenty of seating open and the winery was only open for another hour. We tried both the red flight (red blend, merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and the mixed flight (rose, oaked Chardonnay, red reserve). I was not impressed with the wines, but if anything I would've purchased a bottle of the red reserve.

Had a lovely lunch with wine this week. Ate outside in lovely area. I had Chardonnay and wife had white wine flight sampler. Both enjoyed our choices. Wife had Tuna tacos and I had crab cake slider. Enjoyed both. But a warning - we had been given a gift card from our kids and were told when ordering food that the gift card could only be used for wine, not the Tapas menu. Seems like a strange choice when the card we were given never specified the restriction and was clearly labeled as a gift card. Ended up using balance of gift card on several bottles of wine, but felt misled by lack of clarity on gift card choices. Staff offered no apology.

The Eduxadjonal Wine Tasting was a fabulous activity for a rainy day. Did I like the wines, no. But was a welcome treat to escape the cold and dreariness or the day for $28 and learned a lot about a local winery. They gave 6 pours of different wines, a water bottle to flush out the wine or drink, and a small piece of chocolate for the Syrah. Learn a lot of facts about NJ and wines. There is a parking lot in front. All ages are welcome. We did the wine tasting in the tasting room out back. You can also dine inside, sit in a sitting room or eat outside by tasting room. You can purchase bottles to take with you. Place was packed so not many bottles left which is great to see for a local business that they're doing so well. Some fun facts and tips below: Cape May winery used to be a Lima bean farm. Cape May is the largest Lima bean capital in the world. 16 different kinds of grapevines - some red or white grapes. Pinot Grigio smelled terrible. Tasted good but don't sniff and smell. #bergerknowsbest

Great place to spend a rainy/snowy afternoon with a glass of wine and some appetizers. They have a nice fireplace inside and is delightful.

Not feeling or tasting the love here. I was simply not impressed and matter of fact, I was disappointed. While I love full body, dry wines...this place was like a punch in the mouth with a taste I still struggle to describe. All of the wines tasted like there was some sort of additive that gave them a medicinal taste. Several of their reds burned like bad moonshine several minutes after sipping. Equally disappointing was the experience. Upon arrival you were given a flight and sat in a room. There was no interaction with staff nor a history of the winery. This was a fail for me and would not return.

The Cape May Winery was speaking my love language this weekend. Everything about this place blew me away! Arriving on site, parking was a little tricky, but we were able to sneak in a spot towards the back of the winery. Views = amazing. The vineyard was nice to look at, but I can only imagine what how lovely it must look during harvest season. When we got to the hostess podium, she asked how many people were in our party. We were seated immediately (without any reservation) in a one of the aisles of the vineyard with the sun shining - it couldn't have been more perfect. Each table is reserved for 1.5 hours with strict. They give you a card to place on the table with the time you arrived so you're aware of when it's time to start packing up. The tapas kitchen was my favorite. Food came out quickly and the employees were great, offering napkins, utensils and plates for sharing. I ordered the tuna poke tacos and man, they were fantastic. The outer shell of the tacos was made out of crispy wonton. Tuna was fresh and melted in your mouth with each bite. My friend ordered the lobster slider which she said was very good. Lobster was not rubbery and the roll was buttery. For sharing, I got the artesanal cheese board. I'm begging you, please order this cheese board! Bread, honey, a variety of cheeses, nuts, fruits. Where can you go wrong? The lavender truffle honey alone is to die for! The honey can be purchased at the tapas kitchen for $12. Definitely worth it if you enjoy floral flavors in your food. I can't end my review without talking about the wine. We purchased two bottles - one Issac Smith Apple and one Lighthouse Blush. Both wines were on the sweeter side and complimented our foods nicely. My favorite of the two was the Issac Smith. It reminded me of Apple cider without the carbonation. The Blush wine was a medium bodied delight and I believe it would pair nicely with a pasta. Highly recommend Cape May Winery. Looking forward to spending more Saturday afternoons there!

We've been regulars at the Cape May Winery for the last 5 years and usually opt to get a few bottles as soon as we get into town. Decided to stop by for a bottle and some food, with our two children (who are regulars at restaurants and wineries). To our dismay, we were brought to the far back area away from the food/wine and performer where it seems like they stick the children and dogs. This was not only disappointing, but really took away from the wine and our experience.

Great location and very friendly staff. We enjoyed our wine out on their back patio by the vineyard. The flight prices were very fair however SOME (not all) of there bottles I felt were far overpriced for the quality. To their defense other wineries in the area were similarly priced and of lower quality. Out of my wine stops in the Cape May area this was my favorite.

The crowd speaks for itself. This is a very nice winery in Cape May. A bottle of rose on a warm summer afternoon with outside seating was perfect. The self serve booths for the food and drinks is a good idea to avoid waiting times. Service was great, tables were being cleared fast and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had a great time.

We came upon this place for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. What we found is it is primarily a wine bar instead of a restaurant. They had a few cheeseboards and a few finger items on the menu that you ordered at a counter and then went and picked up when ready.
