"Cape Royale Luxury Hotel & Spa There’s a touch of Old World glamour to the Cape Royale—the imposing facade, the dramatic lobby, the bellmen in top hats—but just when you start to wonder if the whole experience is going to be resolutely old-school, you’ll find yourself pleasantly surprised by the sleek rooms. They feature contemporary furniture, granite and porcelain bathrooms, and a soothing palette of mostly grays and whites with the occasional punch of lime green or aqua blue. It’s also the site of six restaurants, cafes, and bars, each with its own theme, from Italian cuisine to healthy eating to Thai or Middle Eastern fare. The city’s best beaches and nightlife—not to mention Green Point's dazzling Cape Town Stadium, erected for the 2010 World Cup and now the site of many a mega-concert and local soccer match—are minutes away."

There was a constant noise coming from bedroom side, starting from 7.30 AM. There is a construction area for your information, doesnt seem to finish at least 3-4 months. Also first day we could not check in untill after 5 PM because of the cleaning, but on the day of checkout someone came to door knocking at 10.01. That is rude. Before we arrive i asked to checkin a little bit earlier than written but house owner didnt even reply, but during stay he texted via booking.com as if he cares. All copy paste. Note that this is a airbnb not a hotel. Not enought amenities. Everything is old and damaged, needs upgrade and at bathroom there are loads of molds. Room 616.

The location is superb! But the staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. We waited to be checked in and Bonnie arrived, very rude and unfriendly as if doing us a favour by showing us our apartment. The security guards are entitled and arrogant. The staff stood around on their phones the whole time. Although the location is fantastic, we won't be back

One of the Worst Spa Experiences I've Ever Had I visited the spa at the Cape Royal Hotel expecting a relaxing, rejuvenating experience but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst spa visits I've ever had. While the hotel itself is lovely and gives a good first impression, things quickly fell apart once we entered the spa area. The floors were filthy and sticky, which is already unsettling when you’re walking around barefoot. It immediately made the place feel unhygienic and poorly maintained. After being shown to our massage room, we were told to undress and lie down as usual. We did and then waited ten minutes with no one returning. Eventually, I had to walk out in a towel to find someone and let them know we were ready. Their casual response of “Oh okay, are you done? Can we come in now?” was beyond unprofessional. The actual treatment, a scrub and massage was equally disappointing. Throughout the scrub, the therapists kept blasting the tap with water for reasons unclear to us, completely drowning out the calming music that’s supposed to create a relaxing ambiance. There was constant movement, noise, and commotion not at all the peaceful spa environment you’d expect. After the scrub, rather than taking care when dealing with the leftover scrub flakes, the therapists literally flicked and brushed the particles off the bed while we were still lying there, hitting and scratching us in the process. It was both uncomfortable and unnecessary that kind of cleanup can and should happen after the session, not during. As for the massage itself, it felt rushed and unskilled, lacking the technique or flow you'd expect from trained professionals. It felt like they were just going through the motions, with no real care or experience behind it. Based on previous reviews, this kind of poor service is not new, and it’s clear that management hasn't taken any real steps to improve the experience. I really hoped this would be a special treat, but it left me feeling more irritated than relaxed. I wouldn’t recommend this spa to anyone looking for a quality wellness experience. There are far better and cleaner, more professional spas in Cape Town that take pride in the service they offer.

My family and I booked a three-bedroom apartment at this property 11 MONTHS ahead of time, for a few nights over New Year’s Eve. I have just been notified that the property cancelled my booking citing “maintenance issues”. I am disgusted to see that the same property has options available on our dates but for 5 TIMES THE PRICE we had originally booked it for.||We now have no similar alternatives available to us given the length and time of our stay in Cape Town and the proximity of our stay. ||THIS PROPERTY IS DODGY. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Cape Royale Hotel Spa, utterly unprofessional and disgusting. I made an appointment a week ago as I had a wikideals coupon. Upon arrival, there was no staff on site and the security that was present stated the spa had been closed for 2 weeks already. I requested from the security to speak to the hotel's manager and he stated that there's no manager on site, and if I had to call I wouldn't get ahold of anyone. He also stated that the spa and hotel are not in connection with each other and they operate under separate management.

Extremely noisy for a sound sensitive person. I'm staying here for CPT Marathon in the morning and need a good night's rest. But the noise at night - don't know if it's the lifts or Satan taking over - it's unbearable for sleep. The worst decision ever. The bedrooms also don't have doors so there is less of a barrier for sound.
