On arrival after a long overnight flight we were greeted warmly and arrangements were made for us to have our room early. This was much appreciated. This level of care carried on throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. Our room was a standard room but of a very high quality, funishings, bedding and toiletries. There was also a constant supply of cold water in the fridge. |The pool area is furnished comfortable with sofas and chairs and the pool is immaculate.||The restaurant provided breakfast and evening meal if required, the staff were attentive and helpful and food was of a good variety and quality.||We made use of the free shuttle bus which is an asset to visit the V&A waterfront.||We loved our stay here and would not hesitate to visit again.

I was pleasantly greeted by the staff which was great, however I unfortunately struggle a great deal to understand a 4-star rating for this hotel. To begin with, there is no Room service, the kitchen closes early so if you're on a business trip and arrive late at the hotel, you will go hungry for the night. The hotel is locked at night with a security guard tending to the entire establishment but...is not fully equipped with capacity building and knowledge in order to assist guests adequately. He is however a very professional, helpful and empathetic person. Going through a night of roach infestation issues on their second floor, dark and dingy lighting in the rooms and bathrooms, and eventually moving hotels, I'd say that until the owner of this hotel does some serious renovations, SHEQ compliant work and capacity building of all staff - staying here is something I will not recommend unfortunately. If you do, it's an acquired taste for sure!! The reason this review is missing pictures is because I was too busy trying to find myself a different hotel to stay at, at an ungodly hour. But the review is honest and should be enough, especially coming from someone who travels for work for 17 years thus far.

I stayed at Cape Town Hollow Boutique Hotel in late May 2025. The property itself is well-located, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. I also found the staff to be friendly and helpful, particularly in how they initially received me.||Unfortunately, my overall experience was marred by how the hotel handled a difficult and distressing situation. I had booked my full African safari tour, including this hotel, through a South Africa-based travel agent who turned out to be fraudulent. On arrival—after a long international journey—I was informed that my reservation had been canceled due to non-payment by the agent, despite me having paid the agent in full well in advance.||To their credit, the hotel did reinstate my booking after I paid directly, and they expressed empathy when I explained I had been defrauded. However, what left a sour taste was the rate they charged me. Despite my situation and request for some flexibility, I was charged 3–4 times the rate that was available online. At the time, I was too overwhelmed to check for myself, but after leaving the hotel and reviewing the prices, I was shocked at the markup.||This was the first stop of my trip, and while the stay itself was pleasant, the lack of fairness in pricing during what was clearly an unfortunate and exceptional situation was disheartening.||Advice to future travelers: The hotel is a great place to stay if you book online in advance. Avoid booking at the desk or through intermediaries without verifying payment status. Booking directly online will likely get you a far better rate.

Comfortable room with great views of Table Mountain, and opposite the Museum, Art Gallery, Company Gardens. Short walk to supermarket and other needs. Air conditioning was adequate, but I would be concerned in hot weather. Average breakfast provided. Staff were very nice. Good carpark close by.

Amazing location right by Kloof St but for half the price, the staff couldn't do enough and were so kind and helpful. Rooms were large, comfortable and had good aircon, and cleaned really nicely. Pool area could do with some work but overall fantastic.

We had 2 rooms on the 8th floor with a great view of Table Mountain for 10 nights in the run-up to Christmas. Rooms very clean. Staff (especially Toby) very helpful. We would come back at any time.

I loved my stay at CT Hollow! The personnel was extremely kind and considerate. The room was very neat and clean, and it was big enough- not tiny and dark as opposed to other hotels. I enjoyed my stay very much, and would recommend it without hesitations! I would avoid peak hour for breakfast to avoid queues, but besides that, it was perfect!

If you want the worst experience, service, unprofessionalism of the highest order, including mainly eating frozen food, this is where you come. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. ||||You may even suffer the worst form of abuse, from some patrons, in full support of an incompetent manager. So bad I'm seriously considering legal action, that's how bad this establishment is.
