The cabins here are modern, clean, and about as well appointed as you can expect at a remote rainforest lodge. The humidity is near 100% at all times, but the cabins have powerful air conditioning that gives wet clothing a fighting chance at drying overnight. Some others in our group had issues with bugs getting into their rooms; our door had a very solid seal at the bottom but I imagine these need to be replaced/maintained frequently and it's a constant battle in these conditions. Our bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean and the shower worked well.||The property itself is absolutely beautiful but be aware that some of the cabins are a long walk from the parking lot and reception (but close to the restaurant) or vice versa. Bring an umbrella and a good raincoat! We were fortunate to have a staff member offer us help with a golf cart to bring our suitcases to the parking lot when checking out.||The beach is not swimmable due to crocs, but sunrise/sunset is beautiful.||The restaurant food was pretty good and the prices decent. There just seemed to be a lot of rules around ordering food by a certain time and only being able to eat within certain times; the restaurant may have limited staff that reduces their flexibility, but it's somewhat inconvenient to have all these restrictions in place when there also aren't many other food options nearby.||If you want to go for any of the tours the resort offers, it's best to sign up the day prior. We were unable to sign up during breakfast as requested because we had to leave for an early snorkeling excursion and reception does not open until 8. By the time we got back, they were unable to reach the tour guide by phone so we could not go on the evening nature walk even though there may have been space available.

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my brother who lives in Sydney. I have traveled to many cities but I can honestly say that it was something else. A unique and special experience.|Location: unique , the intersection of the forest and the ocean |Room: calm, clean and neat- bathroom was ok|Breakfast: fresh and delicious ||Highly recommended

Stayed a night at Cape Tribulation Beach House, we were supposed to stay 2 nights but cut our losses and left a day early. It is a lovely location but unfortunately didn't live up to our expectations. The positives: The cabin / room is in the middle of a rain forest and is a short walking distance to the beach. We had wild pigs around in the evening which we could watch from our porch. The Italian girl working in the restaurant was very efficient and pleasant. Not so positives: The cabin / room is essentially a portacabin. The online photos make it look better than in real life. It was very clean though, but basic. The bed linen was really damp which wasn't particularly nice. The food in the restaurant wasn't great. I had the chef's special, a chicken curry bowl - having sailed halfway around the world in the last 10 months, i have eaten some dodgy food (some even cooked by me), but this was definitely the strangest thing i have tasted during this time. Being able to see into the kitchen is probably a good thing if you are watching a top class chef / cook, but not anywhere else. My wife had the granola for breakfast, it was a pretty huge portion of food but certainly couldn't be called granola.

Stayed here with my wife and our 7 year old for one night. Nice location by the beach and the forrest, which was the appealing factor for us to book here. Service, food and drink were average. The room was below average; basic with aged facilities. Not much to do there. We stayed there to avoid travelling back in the night time. In hindsight I would probably explore other accommodation options around Turtle Rock Cafe. This place has a lot of potential. Ok for a one night stay.

Staff were great. Place kept clean. Family room great with big shower. Dinning on premises available. No cooking facilities in rooms so would be great if BBQs were available. Great location on beach and to activities

Nestled in the heart of the Daintree, Cape Trib beachhouse is a peaceful and relaxing place to escape.||Be prepared that there is no telephone reception or internet so you will need to digital detox. The whole place is very nicely landscaped. The beach is absolutely spectacular and will leave you speechless, pity about potential for crocodiles as the water is crystal clear.||There is a laundry and ablutions block. ||Each room is fairly basic but has everything you need in the wilderness - good aircon, fan, fridge. The shower pressure is very low but nothing really to complain about. ||The pool area and restaurant have a tropical far north Queensland feel to them. Definately worth a visit if in Cape Trib.

3/5 Ok||An interesting experience but one night is enough. This is well located at the start of the wilderness area but there is very little to see and do for someone like me who spent 20 years on the beach and in the jungle in Malaysia. The place is small and basic but clean and the food at the restaurant is quite good. It is just about value for money. One complaint is that the admin/ mgmnt did not reply to questions I had earler asked about the road condition and likelihood of a long wait at the ferry........ both of which turned out to be OK.||

We stopped for lunch only. The staff were helpful and the food was delicious. Lovely peaceful atmosphere. Right on the beach. Lovely slot to stop. We will be back again one day to stay in the cabins as they look delightful. Highly recommend stopping for lunch

Yelp
I actually really liked this place. Def a surfer vibe going on with just steps to a pristine beach that is Cape trib. Tried their spiced kangaroo with isn't all that spicey, except maybe in a peppery way but still very good. Friends had chicken parmigiana and steak and were delicious as well. A no frills, good food, then head to the beach place. Great stop!

Yelp
Great location, but unexpectedly cold room Stayed here in June for only one night because the weather was unseasonably rainy (not the Beach House's fault, of course). The location would otherwise be ideal for exploring Cape Trib, where the rainforest meets the reef, etc. Being a rainforest, it was soothing to hear the raindrops on the roof at night. One drawback is that the blankets were not warm enough for the cold night and as a result both my friend and I had a bad night's sleep, waking up in the middle of the night several times because of the cold.

Yelp
Cape Trib Beach House is a very affordable option, whilst visiting the area of Cape Trribulation. It is a very funky and modern resort, with a beachfront bar and bistro. It is a great place to relax and unwind, but there are also a range of activities that you can participate in, at an extra cost. ...Nowhere on earth do 2 World Heritage Listed sites come together, with outstanding, natural beauty. You have 'The Great Barrier Reef', only separated by a stretch of pristine beach - and then you have the '120 million year old Daintree Rainforest' ...an 'awsome place' & an 'awsome' experience - not too be missed!

Yelp
We spent four nights here in two of the Ribbon cabins. They certainly didn't look anything whatsoever like the above sparkling white walled cabin picture. The Ribbon cabins looked like they were pieces of unfinished plywood, floor to ceiling. Yes I know we are in a tropical rainforest but .... The staff was friendly, the restaurant was lively, the backpackers kitchen was fun. Food portions the restaurant were absolutely massive. After the first meal, we learned to only order one meal between the two of us and split it; that was plenty. Could have used a brighter lightbulb on the adjoining veranda of the Ribbon cabins as we could just barely see while we were playing cards. One tip: take plenty of bug spray; I lost track of the number of bug bites I had whilst eating at the restaurant. Please do something about those giant horse flies that always bit our legs.

Yelp
I didn't come here to actually stay in the hostel. But I came here as a stop over on my way to see Daintree and grab a quick bite to eat. Everyone who comes here needs to try their calamari salad cause it's light and tasty :) Great location cause just in the backyard of this hostel is where the great barrier reef meets the Daintree rain forest. If I ever go back again I would stay here.

Yelp
great location close to the beach, shady because of rain forest, visiting cassowarys inclusive, clean rooms (double) und bathrooms. beach house has some problems with mouses in the dorms. could be a little cheaper, but you pay for the location. the last some hundred meters is gravel road. but don't worry about your car rental agency, it's no problem to get there. Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Cape Trib Beach House as part of our honeymoon adventure to Australia. We spent 3 days and 2 nights here. First, I have to say, we knew what we were getting ourselves into. If you're looking for a 5 star resort with a heated pool and sauna, this isn't where you want to come. This is exactly as it's advertised, lodging where the rainforest and the beach meet. We stayed in the St Crispin which I would highly recommend to anyone who isn't a hostel type visitor. We had the best view of the beach peeking through the trees, away from everyone else (#3). The bungalow itself had everything you needed. I believe the beds were 2 twins pushed together but I'm not even sure as I couldn't tell. You're in the rainforest so the wildlife is right there next to you. There are insects and you might see them in the bungalows. I didn't see any personally but my husband said he saw a large roach in the bathroom. We also heard the marsupials(?) chewing on the bungalow at one point but they weren't loud or a bother. The staff, they are incredible! You really do feel like you're leaving as friends. Everyone at the front desk was charming and truly willing to help if you needed anything. The chef, wow, that guy needs a raise (I don't know his salary but it isn't enough!). I had the most incredible Penne with white wine vinegar and mushrooms and spinach two nights in a row. It's technically a lunch item but they were so sweet to make it for me for dinner both nights because we missed lunch the first night (and then it was so good, I wanted it the second night too haha). My husband actually tried a few different items off the menu and he's convinced the guy couldn't make a bad meal if he tried. He exceeds all of the food we've ever tasted here in Houston, Texas. At one point after we left our SD card outside the main building (we were uploading photos), the manager of Cape Trib Beach House sought us out later in the day to return it to us. Our experience was truly wonderful and I can't thank everyone at Cape Trib Beach House enough. I don't have one bad thing to say. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon even more memorable!
