Cape Trib Farm - Fruit Tasting Tours & Orchard Cottages

Fruit tasting was excellent. Sam, our host, was knowledgeable and entertaining. The various exotic fruits we tried were delicious. Very interesting learning about the history of the farm and how various fruit varieties came to be planted. Highly recommend this when you visit Port Douglas / Cape Tribulation

We did the tropical fruit tasting tour and it was brilliant! Loads of super fresh fruit that I had never tried before. Merran’s talk was really interesting, both about the fruit and the history of Cape Tribulation. Wonderful to hear stories from someone who has spent almost their whole life in the area. Highly recommend.

We visited the farm for fruit tasting 🫚🥭🍊 you get to try to local seasonal tropical fruit and some bread fruit which is their major fruit growing on site. The walk around the farm was enjoyable and there were many interesting looking trees! We didn't stay at the accommodation but it sure looks relaxing to be in the farm house. Great location next to the local shop and good cafe and so close to the Cape Tribulation beach!

We did the fruit tasting tour, highly recommend! This was one of the hidden gems of the trip, everyone was impressed with all the different fruit you get to taste and learn about. Hosts and experience was excellent.

Great tour with a fantastic range of exotic fruits, very informative and friendly. A great family run business. Can recommend a visit here when you are in the region. The 2pm timing works out very well as it allows time to get there.

This is the most incredible hidden gem! Stayed here with my little family & can’t speak highly enough! Merran greeted us on arrival & was so warm & welcoming after a big journey! The cottages are incredible- and mostly built by family- every little detail is covered! They are absolutely stunning! The breakfasts are absolutely delicious ! Thank you so much for the extra yellow passionfruit for Millie! The fruit tasting with Sam was so informative & so lovely to learn about all the fruits we had been eating! Such a wonderful experience to try fruit we normally wouldn’t see! It was so nice to unwind, reconnect with nature & enjoy this beautiful place! Thank you so much for opening your family home for us to share! We shall be back & will recommend to everyone!

This place is awesome. The rooms are tranquil and well maintained. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Merran & Sam for making it special for our boys during filming and afterwards. I had a good chat with Jeremy as well. The fruit you will taste here will blow you away. My boys love the Bilimbi. We will be back after we have been to Thailand.

We did the fruit tasting. The staff were very knowledgeable and you can see they adore the Daintree. Most of the tropical fruits we ate in October were from South America. The bread fruit was a big surprise, so versatile and the tree grows so fast and is so resilient.
