Our 31st Anniversary and we could not have picked a better place to celebrate it. The food was amazing and the atmosphere as well as the service was outstanding. Capers never disappoints. fried and blacken catfish + red peppers + green onions + parsley, kale salad mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, wasabi mashed potatoes and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Outstanding!

Very nice place, classy and the food was absolutely fabulous. We were very impressed with the food and the ambience is pretty simple but nice. Again, the food was amazing! The desserts were remarkably good as well. Would it have an unusual experience in our servers were nice but they were few and far between and visits and there were two of them no real explanation other than they were sharing a table so we didn't quite get to engage with them which often makes the experience more enjoyable and certainly enhances their tips because we are generous and friendly tippers. Will definitely go back and hopefully the service will be on point as to where it should be at a place like this.

From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant, I knew we were in for a treat. The food, service and overall experience were great. We had a fantastic waiter who gave great recommendations. We were a party of six, and everyone's dish was delicious! We had the calamari and crab fingers for appetizers. The crab fingers was the star...so delicious!!! Highly recommend. We had the steak, crab cakes, lobster, fried shrimp, creamed spinach, fish sandwich, steak burger, bowtie pasta...all very tasty including the sides. The capers salad with fried beets and their tomato vinaigrette was 100! There was live music at the right volume...not too loud like other establishments. We were too full for dessert, but I can't wait to come back. We live on the other side of town, but Capers is worth the drive!!! Thank you for a lovely dinner.

So, this one came recommended from a family member. Nice restaurant, believe it’s black owned and you can tell it’s an area favorite for locals. I started with the crab claws which were super creamy (but advertised to be in wine sauce) and it was underwhelming, lacking seasoning and super thick so tough to get through eating. The stuffed snapper special was delish! Had sides of Brussels and au gratin potatoes but they were like warm in the middle so I sent them back. Sides were mediocre and not flavorful either. Service was good, my waiter was nice and super helpful with her suggestions! Will I be back, maybe not honestly but the live music and bar side seemed to be a vibe for the grown folks.

The food is very flavorful, plentiful and reasonably proces. The staff is so friendly! It was my first time dining there but I will be back. The grouper was so tasty and the pound cake dessert is a must!

Google
The ambiance was nice and cozy. The food was average at best. This is just my personal opinion. We tried crab fingers, spinach dip, which was just ok. And the calamari was great. Fried catfish no seasoning but fried well. Brussel sprouts just okay with the cream sauce, after adding a little salt and pepper. The cream corn was just a no from me.

Excellent, welcoming service, 5 out of 5, plus the excellent appetizers, fried squid 5*, lamb chops 5*, delicious fish, salmon 5*, excellent, I highly recommend it. Sorry for the photos, it was so delicious that I forgot to take some.

Capers: A Dining Experience that Hits All the Right Notes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Capers provided a truly delightful dining experience from start to finish. My friends and I were impressed by the elegant ambiance, which was perfect for conversation yet lively with the addition of live piano music and singing. The attentive manager even stopped by our table to ensure everything was to our liking, a touch that speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. Our server was professional, polite, and well-presented, further enhancing the overall experience. The food was delicious: fire roasted mushrooms, homemade bruschetta, crab and shrimp pasta, bread pudding and rum cake are just of the few delicacies that we enjoyed. The restrooms were clean and accessible. I also noticed lots of areas for special occasions. I'm already planning my next visit to Capers to enjoy their inviting patio and fireplace. Highly recommend this gem for a memorable dining experience!

Yelp
You HAVE to try the Crab Fingers. Seriously, best in town! We got the Crab-Stuffed Fish and the Trout. Both were delicious. The fish was tender, flaky, and full of flavor, paired with creamy rich sides that hit the spot. My plate came with au gratin potatoes and fresh green beans that tasted homemade. The trout had a light lemon-butter caper sauce that went perfectly. The bacon flavor in the creamed spinach was very strong. Didn't have a traditional creamed spinach taste that threw me off. We sat at the bar, and the service was great. The drinks were well-balanced. They also had live music, which really set a nice relaxed vibe and made the evening even better.

Yelp
I took my husband out for a birthday lunch last Wednesday. So disappointed. That is his plate. Salmon, a half portion? Mostly French fries. I got the Brie salad which was okay. Not great. But fresh. What bothers me is that I tell everyone that this is my favorite restaurant, but the last few visits make me wonder. I don't think that they are following food trends much anymore. Everything is just the same. Someone changed the decor and it just doesn't have the same sophistication. Mostly modern paintings, black and gray. I do have to say that the waitstaff is always excellent. Scott served us and he was very good. And the calamari is always a good choice for appetizer. Don't know if I'll be back just for that though.

Yelp
The food was okay. Lamb chops were a little chewy. Chicken tenders were breaded like fish. Au gratin potatoes were delicious. The lemonade wine was supposedly sweet per the waitress, but it wasn't, it was a semi- dry wine faintly sweet. The waitress was aware of a patron at our table birthday ( the restaurant gave her a birthday card) and never offered a dessert. But other tables received one for their birthday guest. Overall, the staff was professional. The manager Mya was professional. I would probably give this place another shit. The atmosphere was nice. There was a singer in another room and he had a soft soothing voice.

Yelp
Capers is always 5 star service, ambience & food. I've been here 4 times and the everything has always been great!! Start with the calamari! Very fresh, large portions and size of calamari, & super tender. I order the calamari every time!! My 19 month old enjoyed the kids grilled shrimp and fries. Fries are similar to steak fries. Kids meal also comes with a drink and a scoop of ice cream. I had a small bite of her shrimp...they are good! I've had the trout twice. My husband got it on our last visit. We both loved it. If you're super hungry...get the full portion. Lightly seasoned and comes with 2 sides. The lamb chops are always a must order. Half order includes 3 chops and the full order includes 5. Medium is my go to heat and it's always good!! The creamed spinach is always good. The Hawaiian ribeye is probably my favorite dish. Every steak I've ordered at Capers has been great! Can't go wrong with the steak breakfast that's offered on the Brunch Menu. Last but definitely not least...you must try the strawberry pound cake dessert!!! You'll leave so happy & definitely full. Enough to share with 3 people!! 10/10! Highly Recommend!!

Yelp
My mothers friend recommended we try this restaurant and so we did. Very happy we did. Everything from the service, food, and drinks was better than expected. Our server, Ciara was a sweetheart from the moment she greeted us until we left. She was attentive, took the time to explain the menu, and made sure we were happy. I really love the idea of being able to order half size portions so I can try multiple items in one visit without having a ridiculous bill! I had the crab and shrimp pasta and the lamb chops. Both were soooooooooooooooo good. I was upset I couldn't finish them while there, but hey there's always leftovers for later! I also had a Bellini and it was delicious! Love they bring you the champagne bottle so you're essentially getting 2 drinks in one. My mom had the bbq ribs and spinach artichoke dip and she was very happy as well. Neither of us had room for dessert, but next time for sure. Bottom line we'll def be back! I recommend!!!

Yelp
So I went twice before writing this review. 1st time was definitely a great experience. Food was good and our server was awesome af. Second time, was a bit of a let down. Didn't get the same level of service and my wife's food wasn't as good as the 1st time. (Her for allergies causes her to have limited options). We'll probably try it again at some point though.

Yelp
My food was good especially my dessert! It was delightful and the portion is big enough to share.

Yelp
I had never heard of Capers but went with a friend that had been to their NC location. First impression, a nice cozy, casual, restaurant. Ambiance was nice, black cloth tables, semi-dim lighting. They have a lounge area where the bar is located & they had a piano player for a classy touch. While we waited for our table, we sat on a couch in the lounge and received a call when our table was ready. I will note that we walked-in on a Saturday, around 530/6, it wasn't too packed but we did have to wait about 15 minutes. I would say a resy is best for a Saturday. Once we were sat, we waited for a least 10 minutes & still had not been greeted. My friend was ready to walk out, as we were both hungry and there were several servers walking past our table. We had to wave down the manager & hostess to get a server. When our server finally came, she was apologetic & kind. Food - we started with the crab fingers. The sauce that it's served with was so yummy! I wish the crab was more meaty, apparently there were only pinky fingers, and it came with garlic bread which was perfect for sopping that sauce. They had a specials menu - I ordered the stuffed salmon & my friend ordered the side of shrimp Mac n chz as his side for the full rack of ribs. For my sides I got the potato au gratin & creamed spinach (has bacon), our waitress recommended my sides as they are her favorite. Stuffed salmon portion was small imo, for it to be $30. The beurre blanc sauce wasn't that flavorful, I used the sauce from the appetizer to help it out. And it was garnished with red peppers and green onions which was unnecessary and overpowered my palate. Half of the potatoes were cold and barely cheesy & the spinach was bland, which was disappointing bc bacon usually adds flavor. My friends full rack of ribs were dryyyy. The shrimp Mac n chz recipe needs refinement - sauce was creamy but meh in flavor, the breadcrumb had a rawness to it and the shrimp wasn't noticeable. He had to send back the dry ribs and got the shrimp pasta instead. The pasta was ok imo, the sauce could have been more flavorful and it only came with 3 or 4 blackened shrimp, which didn't look like it was enough for the big bowl of pasta. And again, it was garnished with those doggone green onions! Honestly, I could have made these dishes better at home. But as the meal started well with the appetizer, it ended well with dessert. I ordered the Creme brûlée and it was pretty good. I skipped the powdered sugar and whip cream, kept the caramel drizzle and berries. It came with a pile of strawberries and blueberries on top. It had a nice crunchy top and just enough sweetness. The manager comped the ribs and $12 off our bill for the late greeting which was nice. Can't say that my experience would have me running back here.

Yelp
I'd say give them a try. Went for a 12yr. olds birthday dinner on July 10th. The ambiance was nice. They had gentleman playing the piano and he was really talented. One side was a dining area and the other side had a bar and a nice sitting area. There was some nice art work. We ate in a room off the dining room, for larger parties. The only issue I had was some of the chairs where different and kind of uncomfortable. The restroom was clean but there was only one working. Now we can get into the service, drinks, and food. Our server was amazing! She was very spirited, knowledgeable, and really sweet. I started with Garlic Sautéed Crab Fingers and my drink was a Peach Mint Julep, they both where amazing!! For my main course I had the New Zealand Lamb(5), brussel sprouts, and mashed sweet potatoes. I enjoyed everything but the brussel sprouts and only because I prefer firmer sprouts and there's where much softer than I like. Can't call them bad just not the way I like them. I'd highly recommend you giving them a try, everyone in our party of 10 cleaned their plates....well I couldn't eat all of mines but it all warmed up well the next day.

Yelp
Definitely make reservations they do book up. We were greeted when walked in and seated right away. The place is nice and big. I like the tables are not on top of each other. Our waitress was super nice and knew the menu well. Had some good recommendations. This place to be so big the food comes out to fast. The crab app was soo good but I wish the crab wasn't in the shell. The best part of the app was the sauce. They could just serve that as a soup. The seafood pasta was good but the shrimp tails are still on. The desserts to me were the best. Good place to check out I will be back.

Yelp
Great restaurant with great food. The ambiance is very inviting. Perfect for any night out. They often have a live musician and the pricing is very reasonable.

Yelp
I got the opportunity to check out Capers for a Sunday brunch while in the area. We were seated promptly upon arrival. I really like the ambiance of the restaurant with decor and music that was playing. Our waitress was great! I ordered the honey bourbon lemonade which was on point! Right amount of bourbon in the drink. For an appetizer we ordered the grouper finger and they were so good. They came with a spicy mango sauce. For my entree I ordered the fish and grits and my wife and I split a side waffle. Everything was delicious! This was a great Sunday brunch experience. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Tried this spot for the first time and I'll definitely be back! I had the 1/2 fried catfish with wasabi mashed potatoes and steamed Brussels sprouts topped with bacon and hollandaise--absolutely delicious. The food was on point, and the vibe in the restaurant was great--good music, not too loud. All in all, a fantastic Sunday brunch experience.

Yelp
We had a lovely time. Great food, great service and nice ambiance. I'll definitely return. I loved the beet salad and the bread pudding was heavenly.

Yelp
This wannabe upscale restaurant left a lot to be desired IMHO. The herb encrested redfish fillet was tasty, but somebody had forgotten to remove the bones from the fillet. The side vegetables were lacking and certainly nothing to write home about. Wasabi mashed potatoes were pretty bland, what little there was of them. The broccoli with cheese somehow had lost almost all it's cheese on the way to the table. The server had to be requested multiple times to attend to items. I have never known a restaurant that desires to be of this class that fails to serve rolls or classic bread with their meals until I ate here. BTW, I used to eat at many good similar restaurants when I travel on business. Capers is a poor copy of those restaurants. We had to shout at each other to have a conversation because the restaurant was so noisy. It had been 10 to 15 years since I was here last, and shall be another 10 or 15 years before I return. Overall, a very disappointing experience!
google avatar

Ed R.

Yelp
My wife and I went to dinner at Capers. My meal consisted of a pork chop, Wasabi potatoes, and a side salad. The pork chop was tough with no flavor and the potatoes were cold. My wife had a half portion of grouper that was razor thin. We complained to the waitress and she said she would mention it to the manager. Manager never came. I left a tip but when the bill was posted to my credit card account $2.30 had been added beyond the tip. I clearly wrote the amount of tip. I called to complain but had to leave a voicemail message. I didn't get a call back until 4 days later after I disputed the charge. We won't go back.

Yelp
Truly enjoyed a beautiful dinner. Service was excellent. Our meal was delicious. Great spot to celebrate with friends. We will be back.

Yelp
Celebrated my 30th birthday at Capers with my close friends and family! We had a party of around 18 people and received great service (I didn't catch our servers name but he was a younger gentleman & I believe his service was on point). He never got overwhelmed & knew exactly how to handle serving a large party. My family loved the ambiance and live music from the pianist. If and when you go to Capers, the only mistake you can make is if you don't order the Crab Fingers as your appetizer! The amount of flavor from the sauce was to die for! I even saved my sauce to pour it on my main entree (that is how good it was). The food is of great quality and I 10/10 recommend getting the Crab & Shrimp Pasta. The catfish and fries were the perfect level of crispiness. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Cream Corn but it was a big hit to everyone else who ordered it! If you're ordering a drink, you can't go wrong with a crispy glass of wine. I would stray away from the Lemon Drop Martini as it didn't taste as fresh as we hoped it would be. Parking is very easy as the restaurant is built in a plaza with plenty of spaces!

Yelp
Everything was delicious!! 10/10 Beautiful ambiance, A wonderful waiter ( male with dreads) Food was delicious! Drinks were great! Food was amazing!! Will be back

Yelp
The food was delish! Drinks were very good and the service was top tier. I will definitely be back! We didn't have a reservation. We were told it would be a 45min wait. But then we got a call about 10mins later that a table was ready! Love that! Thanks again!

Yelp
Was introduced to Capers several years ago by family for a family dinner. Dinner was amazing! Fast forward to last night when we introduced hubs co-worker to Capers and it's still just as good! Aliyah was superb - attentive and friendly with a keen smear of the menu. She helped our guest choose between two items ensuring she liked all ingredients it had. Appetizer: bruschetta. This is a MUST have!!!! I haven't had bruschetta like this anywhere else & it's now set the bar! All the flavors melted together in the toasted appetizer. Entrees: Fried Mississippi Catfish w/ creamed spinach & cucumber salad. Chicken pasta dish. 1/2 order was HUGE and could be shared with 2 people. Looks amazing! Fried Mississippi Catfish w/ potatoes and salad Cheeseburger w/ fries. This classic and the best fries I've tasted in a while - crispy on the outside, soft inside & salted just right. Kiddo ate the entire burger Bone in pork chop w/ su gratin potatoes and cucumber salad. The salad was fresh and the perfect balance to the richness of the pork chop & potatoes. Dessert: toasted strawberry Bundt cake. Don't miss trying this slice of heaven! We had it with ice cream in the side and the flavors were still on point! Be sure to check out Capers if you're in the area! Reservations are suggested - you. A make on OpenTable or by calling the restaurant. For this visit, we made ours the afternoon of via OpenTable, for busier nights you'll want to plan ahead of time.

Yelp
This place had an ambiance!!! Very nice for date night. Special shout out to the piano player. He would be the reason I go back. I had the fried catfish with fries and cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was so good. (I love cucumbers). The fried fish was good but I have definitely had better. And the fries were good considering I had a plate full of fries and one piece of fish. I also has the bruschetta that was recommended by our waiter. Again, it was good but I had better. I would go back for the music and cucumber salad. ‍

Yelp
A hidden gem nestled in an unassuming strip mall located in Kennesaw, GA. Butttttt... Do. Not. Sleep. On. Capers. This is one of thee best meals I've ever eaten in the "Atlanta" area. Top 5 for sure. I've been to this restaurant more times than I can remember, and I've never, not once, had bad anything (service, food, experience, etc.). This is truly a place where there are no bad options on the menu! Ambiance/Vibe - It's a very chill, relaxing dining experience. Almost reminiscent of fine dining but without the pretentiousness (or prices ). Dress is casual, but you might feel like you want to dress up/nice to fully enjoy your dining experience (but you absolutely don't need to). 5/5. Service - 2 words: Top Tier. There really isn't anything more to say. The manager even came to greet and check on us. 5/5. Food - As I previously stated, there are literally no bad options on the menu. There are 2 menus, the normal menu, and a daily special menu, which changes periodically (not sure how often extracurricular it changes, but it does). I had the crab fingers and the stuffed caribbean snapper. It's exquisitely delicious . And let me 100% clear - in a party of 10 people, we ordered 4 crab finger appetizers (among other items), 1 for the table, and 3 of them were individual orders. Bowls were all but LICKED clean, do you hear meeeeee! 5/5 Drinks - I did not have a drink during this visit, outside of water. Others in my party had drinks, particularly the sangria, and they loved it. On previous visits, I've had a drink, and I also enjoyed it as well but can't recall what I ordered. Final Verdict - Lord Wellington approved several times over! Stop reading this and RUNNNN to Capers!!!! And do NOT, under ANY circumstances, leave without ordering the crab fingers. That sauce will quite literally change your life. Capers is out here doing the Lord's work . And for that, we say thank you!

Yelp
We enjoyed a late lunch so it was quiet and the food and service (by DJ) was excellent. We ordered trout and grouper and it was very good. I was visiting the area but I would love to have a restaurant like Capers near the Upstate of SC. It is consistently great food!!
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
The staff was professional and courteous. Cool vibe and lighting. Nice lounge area by the bar. Much larger on the inside than what it appears on the outside. They have really neat books for larger parties. Love that privacy factor. We had bruschetta as an appetizer and it was good. The herb crusted grouper was good but the au gratin potatoes were the star! Rich and yummy. Hubby had the Hawaiian steak with spinach. I've never seen him devour a steak like that before and he loves steak. Desserts looked amazing but we were so full. Located in a strip mall next to a Publix, so you can pick up groceries before you head home. Bonus!! Bon Appetite!

Yelp
Capers is always a delight! Food never disappoints and I enjoy the ambiance, it is always a joy. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend!

Yelp
This restaurant is phenomenal! In service, hospitality. Was with my sisters and we enjoyed our meal It was so nice, and ladies the powder room is clean and fresh. I spoke with supervisor he was so in kind

Yelp
I've been dining at this restaurant for over 15+ years. This restaurant has been the tastiest, most consistent place I've dined at. Despite their busy days, Capers hits it out of the park with amazing food every single time. The menu is plentiful with a ton of great options. Meals are definitely on the heavier side, so come hungry and looking for a cheat meal. I love how they offer half and full portions. Pricing is great compared to any of the restaurants in the area. Their seafood is delicious! Their dessert menu is delicious, wine menu is good, and the service is also consistent and good. I will return many, many more times.
google avatar

Tina H.

Yelp
Always loved this spot. Service is always on point, love the live music. They have a good wine selection but were out of my first two choices last time I was there. The grouper is my favorite entree and love the kale salad!
google avatar

Kellie H.

Yelp
Awesome staff and amazing food! Great vibe! We really enjoyed the food and Coctails and can't wait to visit again soon!

Yelp
I loved it here! Had family come into town so we went out to dinner. All the food was excellent. The calamari tasted fresh like it was never frozen. The breading on it was seasoned perfectly. The stuffed mushrooms were so good, filled with crab and the mushrooms were large. The redfish stuffed with crab was so delicious. The cream sauce was good and the potatoes au gratin were plenty and tasty. My family loved their meals. They had rave reviews on the grouper, catfish, and duck. My montane her lamb chops were seasoned with well and cooked perfectly. She got three and ate them all, this is a woman that never eats all her food lol. I had the alchemy rose drink and it was refreshing and a nice dinner cocktail. I loved the cucumber salad, I make it at home and this was just as good. The restaurant was clean, we were seated right away and our server was nice. I'm going back next week.

Yelp
Was recommended to visit from a colleague and the first time that I went, got the house salad. It had lettuce (of course), tomatoes (duh), Parmesan, (sure) Fried beets, (wait, what), yes. Thinly sliced (and fried) beets provided a delicious compliment to the salad and the Vinaigrette was top notch. The Second time I went there, I brought reinforcements, (and their checkbook) , so the Fried Salmon Fingers, Fried Calamari, and the Fried Green tomatoes were soon escorted to the table. The Fried Salmon and the Calamari were gently laid upon some lightly tossed salad greens, not sure if for show or edible, but it looked great. The fried tomatoes came lightly dressed in a roasted red pepper sauce with goat cheese. The calamari was thick, perhaps half the size of a steak fry, and it provided a taste of actual calamari instead of the traditional super fried rounds that are full of grease. The fried salmon fingers are small slivers of salmon that have been battered and accompany a dill lemon aioli that gave it flavor. The fried green tomatoes had a light crunch, along with a good crisp interior indicating it wasn't fried to death. Main plates shown, Another House salad, Crab Cakes, Grouper sandwich, and regular Grouper in a cream sauce. With the dishes you can get 2 sides, and 3 of us chose to get the house made fries, but hold on. These aren't "restaurant fries" these thick potatoey rectangles are cut and fried in house. Lightly seasoned with sea salt and parsley, these hit the spot not only with portion amount, but also with flavor. The food? 5/5. I can describe my salad again, but you've already read it. 4 plates were cleaned at the end of the meal, and as a spur of a moment decision, I ordered the toasted Strawberry Pound Cake dessert. Ohhhh, you know those clips when someone says you done f*cked up now? The pound cake, buttery yet with a crust is layered with ice cream blocks. (I know what I typed) BLOCKS OF VANILLA ICE CREAM. Oh, and it's drenched in strawberry syrup that I am certain is house made as well. The candle was only a birthday request, so unfortunately candle not included in your order. If I could tell how this dessert disappeared being shared by 4 people that were "stuffed", I'm just glad I took a picture before it vanished amongst smiling faces and delicious food groans of appreciation. Service got the food out to us expeditiously and our server, Mya, (Not sure how to spell her name) was top notch for serving the table and was attentive when refilling water. Would I go again? Absolutely. This was good food, reasonable priced, and had enough portion size to satisfy
google avatar

Keia R.

Yelp
The locally owned restaurant is top notch. The service, food and the ambiance was top tier. I went here for a birthday dinner and I was blown away at how nice of an experience it was. From the outside I didn't fully know what to expect, but it was that and everything more. They had a live band there, that's added a nice tune to the atmosphere, and the waitress made sure our party was great the entire time. All of our food was delicious. Crab cakes are a must try, and the hawaiian steak omg good like no other. No one complained of anything. The lounge area was so nice too. We got some nice pictures in that area. I will definitely be dining again very soon!

Yelp
Man went on a whim and was pleasantly surprised of how good it was. My appetizer was amazing did order more bread. It was shrimp and crab claws or something. Not in picture unfortunately.

Yelp
Visited Capers for lunch with a business connection. The service was off the chain. I had the Lamb Chops (1/2 portion) with cream spinach and wasabi mashed potatoes. We ordered the crab claws as appetizers to share. The food was fresh. The ambiance was light and cozy. Our server was just excellent. She was attentive, polite, and really bubbly. I wished I remembered her name for she really deserve being recognized.

Yelp
I came early, around 5:00 on a Thursday. I sat at the bar since I was alone. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles and a welcome. Like you just walked into an invite-only dinner party. Kaysha was my server/bartender. She was so polite and incredibly efficient. She had about 15 people at the bar and I felt like I had my own private server. The food is to die for, the service is excellent, and the mood lighting was n the restaurant, music, etc, is a perfect scene. Will be taking my parents here when they come to visit next month to!

Yelp
Visited for the first time for Mother's Day brunch. The cocktails were great. We had oysters and smoked salmon as appetizers. Both were delicious, especially the smoked salmon. For my entree, I had a special, which was the monte cristo sandwich, and it was very good. They originally forgot to send out the salad that was advertised as the side, but I asked for it, and it was delivered promptly and was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the ahi tuna rare, and a side of parmesan broccoli which was also a "special" that day. Unfortunately, his tuna was overcooked, and the broccoli had zero seasoning, no parmesean or even salt. My mom had the fried jumbo shrimp, and she enjoyed her meal. Both my mother and boyfriend ordered green beans as a side, and they were good, but seemed as if newer and older beans were mixed together. I will say that the portions were not generous, but adequate. We all have been watching our diets, so it was fine for us. Our server was very kind and attentive, even on an extra busy day. We will definitely be back on a non-holiday, as I think they will be even more outstanding on a normal day.

Yelp
The food was amazing- I had the crab and shrimp pasta and it was amazing. We had fried green tomatoes, and the crab fingers which is the crab claw tips with Italian bread in a white cream dipping sauce..... crème brûlée dessert!! Staff is amazing and helpful, the are attentive and awesome. There's music from a live band and the music jamming. Somewhat dim lighting very elegant

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch and it was a nice experience. This restaurant does accept reservations which we did not know so we ended up sitting at the bar to avoid a 60 minute wait for a table. It was very busy but that was expected for a Sunday. Twenty minutes after placing our order, a new waitress came by to inform us that our order ticket had been misplaced. Fortunately they put a rush on our order and brought it out within the next ten minutes. I had the crab cakes and my guest had the lamb chops. Both were seasoned very well and come out nice and hot! The food definitely made up for the order ticket debacle. I have been coming to capers for years and will continue to return because of the good food and chill atmosphere.

Yelp
We went to Caper's last Friday for an early dinner and ordered the Garlic sautéed Crab fingers, spinach dip and the fried fish sandwich with fries. I was disappointed the food was not good. The crab fingers smelled very fishy and the bread that was served was soggy from sitting in the sauce. We took 2 bites and sent it back to the kitchen and ordered the spinach dip. The dip was not spinach dip but spinach with a piece of cheese not saucy enough at all! Lastly, we tried the fish sandwich with the fries and both my fiancée and I stated that it was just ok but not great. The fries must have been cooked in beef or duck fat because they were very heavy. I have eaten at better restaurants. I rated Capers 2 out of 5 because although the food was a miss the service was decent but not worth a repeat.

Yelp
My husband and I were so excited to try Capers because of all of the positive reviews and comments on Yelp and Google. We made reservations and once we arrived were seat immediately. The service and food unfortunately I can only rate three stars. We ordered as shown in the photos the crab fingers, crab and shrimp pasta and the Mississippi catfish with sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts everything lacked flavor! We were highly disappointed. The food was very bland and we were not impressed. The best part of the meal was our dessert which was the toasted strawberry pound cake, it was delicious! Don't believe the hype the food (great presentation but no flavor). We will not be returning .

Yelp
Went here for my second date with a beautiful young woman, and this restaurant only amplified how good our second date was. We had really wanted a booth, but when we go to the restaurant it was PACKED! The hostess told us it was over an hour wait for a table for two, but not even a second later they miraculously were able to find a regular table for us. Allie was our waitress, and her top notch service made our experience all the more enjoyable. When a booth opened up right behind us, she accommodated our request to sit there and just was really attentive and courteous the entire evening, even though we were far from her only table. For appetizers I had the Grouper Fingers, and although I don't always like fried wish because there's either too much breading, oil, or both, these were lightly breaded and perfectly fried (I wish I could have a BOTTLE of their mango habanero dipping sauce too). She had the Spinach Artichoke dip, and that was the CHEESIEST, tastiest spinach artichoke dip that I have had the pleasure of having. For entrees, my date had the crab cakes, which she said were incredible, and I had the lamb chop lollipops, which were RIDICULOUSLY good (side note - the creamed spinach with bacon is the most flavorful creamed spinach that I have EVER had). For dessert we shared the bread pudding and toasted strawberry pound cake. I wish I had remembered to take pictures before we devoured them, because they were both so beautifully presented (the toasted strawberry pound cake looked like the leaning tower of Pisa, it was so tall and stacked). I wasn't too sure about the bread pudding from the description because I had never heard of pineapple in bread pudding, but it was AWESOME! So flavorful and rich, and the ice cream and sauce was a perfect complement. The aforementioned tower of toasted strawberry pound cake took us back to our childhood and tasted like a deliciously elevated cake and ice cream. From the service to the food to the overall ambiance, Capers was the perfect choice for our second date and helped to guarantee that there will be a third one!

Yelp
Capers knows what's up. Fresh seafood well prepared, welcoming staff, great and varied menu. We literally walked in off the street and were very pleased with this lunch.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING!!!!! I did not need any steak sauce, the juices from it was enough and cooked how I like it. Now when it comes to that CREAM SPINACH with BACON, I don't know what they did but I am HOOKED , I can just eat that all day!!!!!! Even though I was there on a busy day and all the wait staff was very busy all of the staff was able to assist when I needed something.

Yelp
New Yelper here! My husband interested me in writing reviews so here I am! Capers was great! Our host (I can't remember her name) was very assertive and stuck to the wait time she gave us! We were seated efficiently and our server delivered with absolute grace and kindness. Food was a 10/10 on top of drinks. I really recommend capers!

Yelp
The white noise was overpowering and we could barely hear our server. I ordered the Hawaiian ribeye medium rare. I usually never return food but my steak was overcooked. The server was very understanding. What was disappointing was the executive chef sent another chef to our table to inform me it was medium rare in his opinion. I pointed out my niece's medium steak had more pink in it. Most of mine was clearly well done. The chef said he would relay my message. They sent out the second steak and it was rare and cold with the fat still marbled and raw! I have never had a chef 'argue' with a patron. Not one individual apologized for the steak quality. Horrible and definitely not worth repeating.
