La Capilla de la Paz is truly one of Acapulco’s hidden gems. Perched high on the hilltop of Las Brisas, the chapel offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the bay and surrounding mountains. The moment you arrive, there’s a profound sense of calm.
The architecture is striking — modern yet spiritual — with a massive white cross that stands over 40 meters tall, visible from much of the city. The bronze sculpture of praying hands near the entrance is powerful and symbolic. Inside, the open-air chapel is simple but deeply moving, filled with natural light and surrounded by beautiful landscaping.
We were greeted by the serene sound of birds and the rustling of palm trees, and even though it was a warm afternoon, the cool mountain breeze made it perfect. It’s not just a religious site — it’s a peaceful place to reflect, take in the view, and feel connected to something bigger.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Acapulco, whether you’re spiritual or simply looking for tranquility and beauty.
